History of a Dog
Chapter 3: Finale
“You are not a pup anymore Unari. No can make choices for you,” Inumon sighed.
“I'm not a warrior either. I'm just a stray dog,” I growled.
“Don't under estimate being a stray dog. As stray dogs we have more freedom then anyone else. We can attack Crowly and he'll we don't have to worry about getting anyone killed,” Inumon said.
“Yeah. But before we go on a suicide mission like that. I have to know who my parents are,” I looked at Inumon.
He didn't say anything but I knew what he was thinking. It didn't take long to find them. Where they where was a different matter. They were employed by Crowly and meeting them would mean sneaking into Crowly's building. Easier said then done, especially with a Digimon in tow. After finally making it to the building Inumon and I stood at the base trying to figure out how to get in.
“Think Lancemon?” I asked looking down at Inumon.
“I think it might be over kill. I think Ookamimon might be enough,” Inumon said looking up.
I slid the blue card through and then jumped on Ookamimon's back. Ookamimon rushed the door.
“Freezing Wind!” he shouted launching the icicle.
The glass door shattered. Ookamimon and I rushed through the halls. We didn't bother with the elevator too easy to predict where we'd be. We took the stairs. The exterminators were nowhere near the stairs. We made it to the 22 floor. There we burst through the door into a room. In the room there were two people. A man and a woman both had brown hair that was beginning to grey.
“Hello. It's good to see you mother and father,” I simply looked at them.
“Unari you have to leave!” The woman shouted.
“Why? Why did you give me up?” I demanded.
“To protect you from Crowly. And now you must leave before Crowly comes and kills you. Please son. We couldn't bear to know that you were dead,” My father said tears forming in his eyes.
“Let Crowly come. I'm a stray. I fear nothing, not even death,” I said turning to face the door hearing foot steps coming.
Sorcerermon walked into the room and I didn't waist anytime, “Do it Inumon!”
“Inumon bio-merge to…Lancemon!” I smiled and pointed my lance at Sorcerermon.
“Lunar Smasher!” he shouted and I felt gravity increase slightly.
“Ha. You call that an attack? I don't even feel it,” I said jumping around slightly.
“Look again,” Sorcerermon laughed.
I looked and saw it. My parents were being crushed by the increase in gravity. I growled then gave in. I handed over my lance and followed Sorcerermon. After I was sure that Sorcerermon's attack range couldn't reach my parents I fought back.
“Canine Assault!” I shouted feeling the surge in power.
I took out all the exterminators and picked up my lance. I faced off against Sorcerermon who was a little afraid.
“Wolf Howl!” I shouted blasting Sorcerermon back a good nine feet.
That's when a sound reached my ears. A feminine scream. I reeled and saw it. Necromon had my parents and Crowly was simply smiling at me. He snapped his fingers and I watched as my parents were butchered. You thing I've learned over the years, never piss off a stray dog! Necromon and Crowly never saw me move. All they knew is that my lance was suddenly pinning Necromon to the wall and I had Crowly's head in my hand, and I was squeezing.
“Necromon bio-merge to…Satanomon,” What stood before me was the devil himself brought to earth.
Now that I think about it that's not a good description. What stood before me was a being that was trying to be Satan. The Devil would know better then to piss off a stray like me. I picked up my lance and started in on Satanomon.
“Canine Assault!” I tore through everything, Satanomon, the walls, the ceiling, everything.
Satanomon growled, “Damn you! Soul Ripper!”
His attack passed right through me but didn't actually hit me.
“You'll have to be faster then that!” I laughed lunging at Satanomon.
Our ability to move was limited in the confined space of the hall way. I began pushing and pulling Satanomon into the room that I'd met my parents in. There I could use my real power.
“Canine Assault!” I slashed Satanomon thirteen times before I finally stopped.
“Soul Ripper!” He shouted launching a blast of red energy from his hand.
I dodged the attack, “Wolf Howl!”
Satanomon cried out in pain as the attack hit. As I watched his side was only singed. This thing that Crowly had created was truly a monster. To survive a Wolf Howl blast at that close range and come out only singed was an impressive feat. I didn't give him anytime to recover.
“Wolf Howl!” I shouted.
I repeated the attack again and again. I didn't even bother to aim I just fired attack after attack at him. Finally he collapsed. That's when I went over and brought my lance over his head. I punched it down but felt it stop. Satanomon had my lance in his hand. He pushed me off then swung his scythe. The scythe cut through my armor. The pain was intense. He hadn't used any special attack just struck my with his weapon. He didn't let up he just kept swinging. He was forcing be back. With one final attack I was thrown out a window. I plummeted and finally hit the ground. I struggled to get up. I had to force myself to use my full speed. I managed to get into an alley where Inumon and I separated. I watched as Satanomon landed at the edge of the crater. He huffed at not seeing a body, but thankfully he left.
“So I'm damned to be a stray dog forever,” I huffed.
“So it would seem. But still,” Inumon said.
“Stray dogs are the freest.” I quoted.
“Very true.”
End…
