Chapter 4 I'm Going To The Digital World
A/N: Have fun!
I stare hard at the creature. "Why do you need my help?" I
demand. "I need to get back to the Digital World," Takuya
says. "You have to come with me. You're the only one
who can help me." The things this monster was saying was
not making sense. "Digital World?" What's that?" I ask.
"And why do you need my help?" "I'll explain what the
Digital World is on the way," Takuya answers. "And you'll
find out." He motions for me to climb onto his back. I
pause. Where is this strange creature going to take me?
Can I trust him? "Come on!" He shouts. I flinch and climb
up onto his back, gripping his neck tightly. Holding my
legs, Takuya hops the gate in the alley and jumps into a
nearby tree. Then another and another. I get scared and
tighten my hold. "So," I say, nervously. "Where---where
are we going?" "We're going to take a train to Shibuya
Station," he answers. "There's a train station in the
basement that Trailmon go to that took me and my friends
to the Digital World, which is a place that Digimon live."
"What's Trailmon and what are Digimon?" I ask. "Digimon
are digital monsters and Trailmon are train Digimon," He answers.
Takuya jumps from a man's car and lands onto a trainthat
just starts to move. "Just one more question!" I yell over
the roaring wind. "How the heck are we gonna get by all
those people without them seeing you?!" "You're gonna
get a ticket, then take the elevator to the basement!"
Takuya replies (A/N: Please bear with me.).
Soon, the train stops at "Shibuya Station". Takuya peers
down at the people. I peek over his shoulder. I see a long,
dark blue haired boy wearing a bandana walk into the
station "Who's that?" I whisper in Takuya's ear. He follows
my gaze. "That's Kouji Minamoto," He whispers back.
"He's cute," I think. "Come on," Takuya whispers, loudly.
Once again, I climb onto his back. He leaps from the top
on the train and lands on the roof on the station. I climb
down from his back. "Remember what to do?" He asks.
"Yeah," I reply. Takuya flashes me a smile and thumbs up.I spot a ladder and quickly climb down it, then run from
around the side of the building and into it. Shibuya Station
is HUGE! I look around for a ticket machine. I spot one
and race to it. I suddenly realize that I don't have any
money. I groan and slam my fists against the machine. It
buzzes and a ticket pops out (A/N: Sound kinda familiar?).
'Whoa...' I think, grabbing the ticket. I run through a
turnstile and up a flight of stairs. I see an elevator closing
with the boy Kouji and another boy wearing a backwards
hat and square goggles. I run as fast as I can to catch it
before it closes. Someone runs past me and gets to
elevator just as it was closing. A boy wearing a blue hat.
He slams his fists against the doors, then runs around a
corner. Takuya lands in front of the closed elevator door.
He opens them by hand and gestures me to come to him.
I do. I climb onto his back again. Grabbing a cable cord,
he slides down and lands on the roof of the elevator.
Takuya bends down to open the trap door, but pauses.
"You know," He says. "You never told me your name."
"Oh," I say. "My name is Yalanda." "Yalanda, huh?" He
says, with a sly grin. "That's pretty."Thanks," I say, a little
embarrassed. Takuya opens the trap door and we,
silently, hop down. I see a train station with funny-looking
trains. Kids are eying the trains and chatting. 'So, this is
the station Takuya had mentioned,' I think. Suddenly, I
hear a buzzing noise and a woman's voice comes through
the goggle boy’s cell phone. "It's up to you now," she
says. "Which one will you choose?" The long haired boy, Kouji
suddenly, runs out of the elevator. Takuya lifts a hand to
the goggle boy, but stops. He seems lost in thought. After a few
minutes, though, he yells at the boy to catch the train. The
boy nods and races out of the elevator. Takuya and I
watch as he catches as he, safely, catches the train. I turn
to Takuya to say something, but it, suddenly, a dark fog
appears. A creature with long, blonde hair and eyeballs on
his body appears in the fog. He growls. Takuya glares at
him. "I'M NOT AFRAID OF YOU!!!!!" he screams. Flames
shoot out from his body and at the creature. He vanishes
in the fire and the flames die out. Takuya stumbles out of
the elevator in into the station, breathing hard. I rush to his
side. "Are you O.K.?" I ask. "Yeah..." Takuya replies,
between breaths. "Who was that?" I ask. "Duskmon,"
Takuya replies. "Duskmon?" I repeat. Takuya nods. "He's
been following me ever since I came back from the Digital
World." "Well, I didn't expect to see you again," A deep
voice says, startling me. I look to see a black train with big,
red lights. Takuya straightens up. "DarkTrailmon, you have
to take me back," Takuya says. "I thought you wanted to
go home," it replies. "I did," Takuya says. "But now I need
to go back. I turned into this freak show 'cause I didn't
understand who I was, but now I do/ DarkTrailmon is
silent for a moment. "All right,” it says, finally. "I'll take you
back, but I can't bring you back here if you suddenly
change your mind." "I'm not gonna change my mind,"
Takuya says, walking to one of the train's doors. He stops.
"What about your friend?" DarkTrailmon asks. "She's
coming, too," Takuya says with a smile. "Right, Yalanda?"
I nod. "Yeah." I run up to him. "All right," DarkTrailmon
says again. "All aboard." It opens the door and Takuya
and I go in. I sit down on one of the long seats as the Train
Digimon starts to move. Takuya stares out a window. He
murmurs something I can't make out. He, suddenly, starts
screaming and particles appear. He transformes into a tall,
long haired creature wearing a mask and blue eyes.
Soon, DarkTrailmon
stops in what looks like a dark, dessert-looking wasteland.
"End of the line, kids," it says. "Good Luck." Takuya,
slowly, steps out of the Trailmon. I follow. He has a
determined look on his face. "All right," Takuya says, in a
gruff voice. "This is it. I've got another chance and I'm
NOT gonna blow it!" Thus starts my adventure in the
Digital World.
