Matt grumbled all the way back to the hotel, he grumbled as he paid the taxi driver, he grumbled as he made his way back up to Kaede's room.
"Back already?" Kaede asked, looking at her watch.
"Our 'date' was just a ruse so she could go out with some other guy." Matt replied.
"And...she didn't tell you this here?" Koji said, looking up from his magazine.
"Correct."
"She dragged you out...then told you." Niru added.
"Hai."
"That's retarded." Kaede said with a frown.
"I know...where's Tai?"
"In your room."
"Ok. I'm going to see him then. See you tomorrow guys."
"Good night Matt." His three friends chorused as he left Kaede's room.
Matt unlocked the room and stepped inside. The sound of running water indicated that Tai was in the shower. Matt smiled and sprawled himself out on the bed. Soon Tai stepped into the room-wearing nothing but the towel around his hips.
"Matt! You're back!!" Tai exclaimed and jumped on the bed-nearly landing on Matt.
"Yeah!!" Matt giggled, wrapping his arms around Tai.
"Why're you back so soon? Did she not like you or something?"
Matt grimaced, "You could say that. After taking me to this dance club she tells me that she's actually waiting for some other guy, gives me cab fair, and tells me to leave."
Tai frowned, "That's not very considerate...and look at you! You're soaked!"
"And freezing my ass off." Matt added.
"Poor baby..." Tai cooed, placing a kiss on Matt's cheek. "Let's get you warmed up..."
Taichi unbuttoned Matt's shirt and pushed it open.
"This is supposed to keep me warm?" Matt teased.
"Of course....everyone *knows* body heat is the best way to keep warm..."
Tai threw Matt's wet clothes and his towel into the corner and snuggled under the covers with Matt.
"Feel any better yet?" Tai asked, pulling Matt's still shivering form against him.
"Yeah...." Matt replied, tucking his head under Tai's chin. "Thanks..."
Tai firmly tucked the covers around himself and Matt. He slowly stroked Matt's semi-dry hair and shoulders-soothing the goosebumped flesh. Soon Matt stopped shivering and his body warmed. The brunette stayed awake until he heard Matt's even breathing-indicating he had fallen asleep.

"It feels weird up here..." Kaede remarked. "I've never been on a double decker bus before."
"Just be thankful we got to sit on the second level." Cherona said, reading the brochure, "These things are very popular with tourists..."
"I'm bored." Hiroshi complained for the fifth time.
"You're always bored." Akira teased for the fifth time.
"He's just horny and can't get some at the moment..." Matt chided with a grin.
Hiroshi flipped Matt the bird and stuck out his tongue.
"Be nice Hiroshi..." Akira scolded, still smiling.
"Why can't you people be like Niru and enjoy the scenery?" Kaede asked.
"The scenery is boring." Hiroshi and Akira said in unison.
Koji and Cherona laughed and Kaede threw her hands up in frustration.
"Men..." She grumbled.
"Boys..." Niru corrected, grinning.
"Ha." Hiroshi snorted.
Matt shook his head and rested his head on Tai's shoulder. Tai smiled and wrapped his arms around Matt.
"It is pretty..." Tai whispered, staring out the window.
"M-hm..." Matt replied.
"And it's not so crowded here..."
"Yeah."
"...I wonder if Sora went home or is stalking us from afar?" Tai wondered, smirking.
Matt giggled, "I hope she went home..."
"When's your first gig?"
"Tomorrow night."

The first club wasn't very big, and it made Matt wonder how Lila made any money off of it. He hoped the other clubs could hold more people. After setting everything up, they did a sound check, then a small rehearsal. Everything sounded good and they were all on key.
"We're almost ready to open." Lila said.
Matt nodded and gave Tai a kiss.
"Good luck Matt." Tai smiled.
"You're sure you'll be ok?" Matt asked.
"Of course. Cherona will be with me."
"Ok."
Matt helped Tai down off the stage, giving him a mournful look. Tai just grinned and headed to the table Cherona was sitting at.

Matt couldn't believe how many people showed up!! The place was overflowing with people and he had lost sight of both Tai and Cherona after the first wave of people came in. Truth to be told, he was worried...very worried. Yeah, he knew there were plenty of bouncers and security...but could they protect *everyone*? He didn't let his worries interfere with his performance though. The band had a break coming up soon. He look around for Tai and Cherona then. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Kaede standing back stage-looking as worried as he was. That didn't give him much encouragement. When Kaede was actually worried, there was something to *worry* about. The band finished up their last song and took a break. A DJ-sitting somewhere up above the crowd took over for them.
"Seen them?" Koji asked.
Kaede shook her head, "There's too many people down there. I couldn't even walk through there to look for 'em."
Matt sighed, "We're stuck back stage."
"Until they clear people out. Yes." Kaede replied.
Akira moaned and sat on the floor, "I'm so thirsty..."
"Here." Niru said, handing him a bottled water.
"Thank-you Niru. You're a life saver!" Akira chirped, taking a sip of water.
Matt peeked out from behind stage at the huge crowd of dancing teens.
{I hope you guys aren't pancakes on the floor...}

End Chapter 12! Phew! *kicks writer's block out the door* Well, well now...Matt has made a keen observation, ne? If Lila's clubs are all small and dinky...how does she make so much money off them? Are Tai and Cherona pancakes on the floor? Who knows! R&R and you'll find out! =^_^=
