Here's Chapter 13. I apologize for the weakness of Chapter 12, but writer's block had reared it's ugly head. ^_^;;; WARNING!: Someone is bein' horny with Tai...but it ain't Matt, BUT and there's NO rape, I think rape fics are GROSS.

Matt paced around back stage. Their break was almost over and they *still* couldn't push through the crowd.
"I'm sure they're ok." Niru said, being the rational person that he was.
"Yeah..." Matt agreed after a moment's hesitation.
"Of course." Kaede nodded.
"We're on in two minutes." Hiroshi said, tuning his guitar.
Matt nodded and scanned the crowd.
{No Tai...No Cherona...I'm sure they found some refuge...}
The blonde smiled and walked back onto the stage. The rambunctious crowd cheered and screamed as loud as they could. Matt's ears were already starting to ring. Once everyone was all in place and set up, they started to play.

From the safety of the second floor, Tai and Cherona watched the band play themselves sweaty.
"You think they can see us up here?" Cherona asked, waving her arms in the air.
"I don't think so. I doubt it. We'll have to go crowd-pushing after." Tai grinned.
"Oh goody...sounds like so much fun."
"Hey man!" A blue-haired boy interrupted, slinging an arm around Tai. "Wanna dance?"
"Uh....." Tai replied, "Not really."
"Aww...why not?"
The boy leaned in close to Tai, his breath was heavy with the scent of alcohol.
"Hey. Back off." Cherona warned, pushing the boy back a bit.
"Hey fuck you, bitch." The boy snarled.
"Shut your trap!" Cherona snarled back, jumping to her feet.
"Stop!" Tai said, pushing himself in between Cherona and the boy. "It's ok Cher. I'll dance with him."
"But..." Cherona started to protest.
"Then maybe he'll leave us alone..." Tai whispered.
"Fine. But I'm watching. If he touches you, I'm kicking his ass." Cherona whispered back.
Tai giggled and nodded.
"So..." He said, turning to the drunken boy. "Let's dance."
"Great. My name is Todd."
"I'm Tai."
Tai let Todd take him by the arm and lead him downstairs to the dance floor. Kaede was singing "Virgin", one of the bands mellower songs, while Matt and Hiroshi sang back up. As they danced, Tai started to wonder if Todd was actually drunk. He still had his balance and was very light on his feet. Tai wondered if he wasn't drunk and just always came on strong. Tai twitched uncomfortably as Todd pulled him closer.
{Cherona? Where are you?}
Tai looked up at the upstairs. Cherona was watching the band, not him. The brunette felt beads of sweat rolling down his back and brow. Todd's hands were starting to wander into certain areas that only Matt had access to.
"Uhm..." Tai said, trying to pry Todd's hands off him. "I have a boyfriend."
"So? I don't see him anywhere. He'll never know."
"But I'll know, and I don't want that."

"Excuse me, Miss?" A woman asked.
"Yes?" Cherona replied, taking her eyes off Tai and Todd.
"Could you help me? I lost my glasses somewhere. I can't see for the life of me."
"Sure."

"Please. Could you move your hands elsewhere?" Tai asked.
"No."
"Then the dance is over. Let me go."
"No."
Tai was starting to get pissed, "Either you move your hands to a more suitable area or let me go."

After Kaede had finished up "Virgin", she started to sing another slow song. Matt scanned the crowd again, and this time he caught a glimpse of Tai...and he didn't like what he saw. Some...punk had his hands all over *his* Tai, and judging by the look on Tai's face, *his* Tai wasn't enjoying it.
"Keep playing." Matt growled at his band.
"What? What's going on??" Koji asked.
"Just keep playing." Matt ordered, putting his guitar down and jumping off the stage.

Tai was pushing against Todd's chest, trying to break away from the stronger boy.
"Stop this. Right now." He said firmly.
"But you're sooooo cute." Todd grinned.
"I don't care. I don't like this!"
{Cherona! HELP!}
Tai struggled a bit, wondering if anyone would help him. Suddenly Matt burst through the crowd and grabbed one of Todd's arms.
"Let go of him...now." Matt threatened.
"Why should I?" Todd challenged.
"First of all he's *my* boyfriend, and you're making him uncomfortable. I don't like people who mess with my boyfriend...."
Tai blushed at the ferocity in Matt's tone. Matt really loved him that much...
"You have six seconds to let go of him. If you don't. I'll beat the living shit out of you."
"All right! All right!" Todd relented, letting Tai go. "Don't get your panties in a knot!"
"I wear easy-to-slip off boxers not panties." Matt said, wrapping his arms around Tai. "Now shoo..."
Todd grumbled something about Matt being a bastard and took off.
"My hero!" Tai gushed, with a lop-sided grin.
Matt laughed, "Damn straight."
"My knight in shining armor." Tai continued teasing.
"Yup..." Matt whispered, giving Tai a kiss.
The two wrapped their arms around each other-still kissing, and danced to the sound of Kaede's voice.

"Here! I found them!" Cherona exclaimed, producing a pair of burgundy framed glasses from the floor.
"Oh thank-you!" The woman said, putting her unharmed glasses on. "Thank-you so much. It's good to be able to see where I'm going."
"No problem." Cherona smiled.
"Thanks again." The woman said, walking off with a smile.
Cherona froze in mid-smile.
{SHIT! TAI!}
She ran back towards the railing and peeked over-hoping that Tai was still there and wasn't being molested. What she saw brought a relieved smile to her face. Matt was holding Tai tightly, keeping his hands on respectable areas, and kissing Tai softly.
{Phew...nothing happened...}
