Chapter 3
Patamon, Biyomon, and Tentomon hovered closer to the river below. "Do you see them anywhere?" Biyomon asked.
"No..." Patamon said, getting worried.
"I hope Sora's okay..." Biyomon said.
************************************************************ *********
Paula waved her hand in front of Heather's face. "Hellooooo? Are you theeeeeeere? Earth to Heather! This is ground control!" she said, poking her. She had been sitting there the past 5 minutes with this spaced-out look on her face. It appeared she was in shock, as she hadn't even blinked!
"Her eyes are gonna dry out if she keeps doing that," Ness said, hanging upside-down from a tree. "Now what exactly happened again?"
"We were all walking on a bridge, then Mothramon swooped under..." Paula began. "We all fell into the river."
"I know that! Why is Heather actin' like that though?" Ness asked.
"Oh. Well, she hadn't come up yet, so Matt risked his own life for her and brought her up to the surface..." Paula said dramatically, as if she were reading from a romance novel. "Now she's all spaced out..."
Ness looked at Heather, who seemed to be in her own little world. He hopped out of the tree he was hanging from, and looked Heather right in the eyes. She was still...zonked out. He poked her. Nothing. "Earth to Heather! We are ready for liftoff!" he said, waving his hand in front of her face.
Matt, in the meantime, was drying his shirt out.
************************************************************* ********
"See them anywhere?" Tentomon asked.
"No..." Biyomon said. "I'll get a closer look," she said, swooping down closer to the river. "Hey, I think I see Palmon!" she shouted.
"That must mean that everyone else is there!" Patamon said, flying faster, with Tentomon close behind.
"Say...do you guys hear something?" Sora asked the others.
"Yeah, come to think of it..." Poo muttered, climbing up to the top of a tree. "It looks like...hey! It is! It's Patamon, Tentomon, and Biyomon!" he shouted.
"Biyomon?!" Sora shouted, jumping up. The three flying Digimon landed on the ground near them, just as Sora rushed over to Biyomon and hugged her. There were a few moments of greetings, and things of the sort.
"Now just how can we find the others?" Heather asked, wringing out one of her still-dripping pigtails.
"I can Digivolve to Birdramon and carry you all back!" Biyomon said cheerfully.
****************************************************** ***************
"POKEY, YOU NUMBSKULL!!" Parakkimon shouted, pounding on the fat kid's head with his small red feet. "I THOUGHT YOU SAID THAT PLAN WOULD WORK!!!"
"Well *ow* it knocked a few *owy* of them off, *ooh* didn't it? *ouchy*" Pokey said, wincing from every painful little whack.
"A FEW IS NOT ENOUGH!!!" Parakkimon shouted in his high voice, still pounding on the portly adolescent. "It was SUPPOSED to knock ALL of them into the river!!! You APPARENTLY didn't test the bridge out to see if it was WOBBLY or not!!!" Parakkimon applied a massive kick to Pokey's chin and turned his back on him.
"Well, you were the one who swooped under the bridge...." Pokey muttered, rubbing his chin.
Parakkimon turned around, the blue beadlike part of his antenna glowing brightly. "Was was that?" he asked through his teeth, powering up a Sky Beam attack.
"NEVER MIND! Let's just find out own ways to get rid of the DummyDestined!!" Pokey shouted.
"Fine with me!!!" Parakkimon said, fluttering off in a huff.
************************************************************ *********
Kitusomon was watching the whole argument through her onyx-trimmed crystal ball. "Those two are hopeless..." Chonchimon lay by her feet. Kitusomon stood up and walked down the dark hallway to a small room. She took out 8 Digivices, the ones that were stolen from the DigiDestined, and put each of them into a glass orb. She then pulled out a crystal scepter.
"Once I steal the ninth DigiDestined's soul, I will finally defeat them all...." she muttered, then let loose with a hideous laugh, one that would even put Etemon's to shame.
*********************************************************** **********
"Ummmm....it's alright, T.K, we'll find them soon...." Tai said, trying to calm down the crying T.K. Actually, everyone was upset since half of them were lost somewhere.
Izzy was once again, trying to figure out why his laptop stopped working. "Hmm. I've managed to turn the thing on, but I can't run any programs! Guh, this is making me crazy!" he said, clenching his fist.
"I'll say...." a voice said from behind him. It was Jeff, also typing away on his own laptop. "Mine's screwed up too."
"Hmm, I can only open up this one program....let's hope it provides some information...." Izzy typed a few thing in, when the screen filled up with numbers!! "What the heck...?"
"Hrm," Jeff said, typing in the same thing. The EXACT same thing popped up. "Okay, we have officially entered Freaky-Deaky land..."
Tai, after managing to calm T.K. down, said "Well, think we had better get moving if we want to find the others before dark..."
"When can we eat?" Agumon asked.
"That's all you ever think about, is food," Kari said with a laugh.
Jeff and Izzy each shut off their laptops. "Hey....where's Joe, Mimi, and Lunamon?" Jeff asked.
"I think they went to find some fruit or something," Gabumon said.
"Good! I'm just about starved!" Izzy said.
*Aren't we all....* Tai thought, looking down at Agumon.
********************************************************** **********
"Do you see any good fruit, Joe?" Mimi asked, looking up in a tree.
"No, and why do I hafta do the climbing? All of these leaves are making me itch!" Joe said from high up in the tree.
"Well, I very well can't climb in a dress, now can I?" Mimi took off her hat then put it on again.
"There has to be some up there!" Lunamon shouted.
Joe rummaged around in the trees some more, until he found something kinda silvery. "Hey, I think I found something!" He grabbed it, but then noticed it was cold and hard. He looked up to see a huge metal moth or butterfly or something... "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!" He fell out of the tree.
"I got'cha, Joe!" Mimi said, her arms outstretched. Now how does it turn out that the person who's falling happens to end up under the person who catches them? 'Cause that's how Joe and Mimi ended up. Mimi quickly stood up, then helped Joe up. "What happened? Was there a monster in there or something?"
Lunamon looked up in the tree, puzzled. She then saw what had scared Joe, and that made her blood run cold. "Guys, I think we should run," she said, eyeing the huge silver-and-black moth hovering above them.
************************************************************ *********
"I'm so hungry..." Tai said, laying upside down on a nearby boulder.
"You're not the only one," T.K. said, leaning against a tree.
"When are they gonna get back with the fruiiiiit?!" Jeff complained.
"I need sustainance," Izzy said.
Just then, everyone heard a trio of screams coming from the forest nearby. They all looked to their left to see Joe, Mimi, and Lunamon running out of the forest at the speed of sound (well, not really, but you get the point). Everyone sprang up from their resting places.
"Mimi? What's wrong?!" Jeff and Izzy said simultaneously.
"We have to get out of here!!" Joe said, running past the group.
"What? What is it?" Tai asked, looking in the direction from where they came, only to come face-to-face with a huge metal-plated moth. "Umm, Izzy? Care to explain?"
Izzy grabbed his laptop. "That's MetalMothramon! Parakkimon's Ultimate form! And here you thought Mothramon was tough, MetalMothramon's Steel Shower is nearly lethal!" he said, analyzing it.
"MetalMothramon, huh? Let's go, Agumon!" Tai shouted.
"Agumon! Digivolve to.......Greymon!"
"You think a puny Greymon can overcome my power? Steel Shower!" MetalMothramon hissed, sending a flurry of steel shards everywhere.
"Nova Blast!" Greymon launched the huge fireball, but MetalMothramon's steel armor wasn't even burnt.
The Steel Shower attack sent Greymon reeling. He de-digivolved down to Koromon.
"Oh no! MetalMothramon's too powerful!" Joe said, protecting T.K.
"I'll try it now! Star Dust!" Lunamon shouted, sending a blizzard of golden dust at MetalMothramon. The attack didn't even faze him. "Uh-oh...."
"Now you'll pay, you little rodents! STEEL SHOWER!!"
"METEOR WING!!"
MetalMothramon was distracted enough so that he didn't launch his attack. He looked behind him to see...
...Birdramon, who was carrying everyone else!
"All right! Let's go, you guys!" Tai shouted as everyone else leaped off of Birdramon and exchanged greetings.
"Gabumon! Digivolve to.......Garurumon!"
"Tentomon! Digivolve to.......Kabuterimon!"
"Palmon! Digivolve to.......Togemon!"
"Gomamon! Digivolve to.......Ikkakumon!"
"Patamon! Digivolve to.......Angemon!"
"Lunamon! Digivolve to.......Galaxiamon!"
(Koromon is too weak to fight.)
Everyone used their strongest attacks. But not a single one of them did much harm to MetalMothramon. He scanned the whole group, his glare fixing on Heather. "The ninth DigiDestined.....heh. STEEL SHOWER!!!" Without giving time for her to react, MetalMothramon quickly threw several blades at Heather.
"Heather, look out!!!" Galaxiamon shouted, pushing her out of the way. The blades struck, then dissolved. Galaxiamon dropped to her knees.
Heather ran over to her best friend and grabbed her by the shoulders, tears streaming down her face. "Galaxiamon!! Are you okay?! Can you fight?!" she shouted.
"Very weak....can't fight...." Galaxiamon managed to squeak.
"You can't give up now! I believe in you!" Galaxiamon closed her eyes. "GALAXIAMON!!!" Heather's Crest began to glow brightly.
Galaxiamon's eyes popped open as she felt herself begin to change forms.
"Galaxiamon! Digivolve to......."
Along with getting taller, Galaxiamon's hair turned bright gold, grew longer, and braided itself. Silver stars and dust circled her, forming new clothing, and changing her skin from lavender to pale pink. She curled up into a ball, letting huge white wings fold out, one at a time. She spun around several times, a tiny star appearing on her forehead.
".......GaiaGalaxiamon!!!"
MetalMothramon and GaiaGalaxiamon faced each other. "We can do this my way, or my way. Take your pick, rival," GaiaGalaxiamon said, clenching a fist.
"I have no time for you, lady. I have to destroy the ninth DigiDestined!" MetalMothramon said, towering above GaiaGalaxiamon at 150 feet, whereas she was only 6 feet tall.
"You don't intimidate me! Moon Prism Shockwave!!" GaiaGalaxiamon shouted, rainbow-colored sparks flying from her hands, creating a huge wave of prismatic energy. (Ness was a bit jealous about this, as it looked cooler than his PSI Rockin' attack.) MetalMothramon promptly fired a Steel Shower attack. But before it could hit GaiaGalaxiamon, she shouted "BLACK HOLE!!" MetalMothramon's attack was sucked into the vortex, then fired back at him, it's power doubled.
"Nooooooo!!! Curse you....!" MetalMothramon dissolved. GaiaGalaxiamon fell to her knees, then de-digivolved to Kiyonimon.
"Man, that was a doozie..." Kiyonimon said, rubbing the side of her head.
Heather walked over to Kiyonimon and picked her up. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, now that Parakkimon's gone."
*********************************************************** **********
Kitusomon threw her crystal ball down to the floor in a rage. "NO! It CAN'T be! MetalMothramon was destroyed?!" she shouted, startling the sleeping Chonchimon. "I guess I'll have to go destroy the Ninth Child myself!" With that, a swarm of bats surrounded her and lifted her up into the air.
************************************************************* *******
"Man, that Black Hole attack really drains me..." Kiyonimon muttered, once again resting with a washcloth on her forehead.
"Well, you'd better get some rest. We can stay in this area for the night, you should be fine in the morning," Heather said, sitting beside the small pink Digimon.
Paula was leaning against a tree. *I'm getting some bad vibes. Something's going to go wrong tonight...* She thought. There was definetely a feeling of evil around the campsite.
"Paula, you okay?" a sudden voice behind her said.
Paula whirled around to come face-to-face with Ness. "Uhh yeah, I'm okay. I just have the feeling that something's going to go wrong, and we won't be able to do anything about it..." she said.
Ness was silent for a minute. "Are you sure? I think you might just be paranoid."
"I'm not paranoid! I'm getting tons of bad vibes! Think about it for a minute, see if you can feel them."
The two were silent for a minute, then Ness spoke up. "Hmmm....you're right, something doesn't feel quite right..."
"See? I think it might have something to do with Pokey," Paula said.
"Well, then that won't be a problem! We've always managed to get away from him in the past, and we can do it again!" Ness said, walking back to the campsite.
"I sure hope you're right...." Paula whispered to herself, following suit.
Meanwhile, Jeff and Izzy were STILL trying to fix their laptops. "Why did my laptop hafta break down at a time like this?! This is not proving good for the journey," Jeff said, smacking the back of the darned thing.
"I'm not faring much better. It seems that some negative energy force is causing them to malfunction," Izzy said, doing the same to his own laptop.
"If only I could just get into this one program, I could find out what's wrong and try to counter it! Confound the blasted thing," Jeff muttered.
"Well, it's probably too late to do anything about it now," Izzy said, closing the laptop. "It's obviously some kind of virus that makes us unable to do any major work."
"Yeah, I guess you're right," Jeff said, shutting his.
Matt sat by a nearby lake, holding a makeshift fishing pole made out of a twing with a string tied to the end.
"Hey Matt, what'cha doin'?" T.K. said, walking up to him.
"Ehh, just trying to catch something. It doesn't look like there's anything in this lake," Matt replied.
"Oh." T.K. was quiet for a minute. "What do you think of Heather?"
Matt's eyes opened wide, and his face turned a little red. "Uhh....she's okay," he muttered.
"Yeah, I think she's the coolest girlfriend you've had!" T.K. exclaimed.
Matt nearly dropped his fishing pole. "Wh-what?!"
T.K. grinned. "Well, you've been looking at her a lot." That time, Matt dropped the pole.
************************************************************ *********
Kitusomon, shrouded by a swarm of bats, flew through the foggy sky of the Digiworld. *Soon... The Ninth Child will surrender... I can almost feel the energy radiating from her..*
*********************************************************** *********
Later that night...
Poo was meditating. He was floating at least 4 inches off of the ground.
"How DOES he do that?!" Tai asked.
"Uhm, I think it has something to do with his Mu Training..." Jeff said. "I'm not too familiar with it."
Suddenly, Poo's eyes snapped open and he landed on the ground with a thud. "Ack!"
"What happened?" Paula asked.
"I'm detecting some negative energy!! It's very close by!" Poo shouted, rubbing the back of his neck.
"I knew it!" Paula shouted, standing up. "There IS something evil around here!"
"Yeah! Is everyone here?" Ness asked, counting heads. He stopped when he noticed that there was only 12 people there, as well as all of the Digimon. "Waitaminute...where's Heather?!"
"I think she went for a walk. Said she had some things to sort out..." Sora said.
"Oh no! With all of these evil readings or whatever around here, she could be in trouble!" Matt shouted, jumping up and running into the forest.
"Oh man, this is bad," Kiyonimon said, digivolving to Lunamon and following suit. Everyone else, including the Digimon, got up and ran after Matt and Lunamon.
********************************************************* **********
Heather calmly walked through the forest, thinking of several different things. *Why did I have to find that Crest? It just doesn't make any sense. I'm so homesick... I hope this is all just a dream...* Looking down, she didn't see the silhouetted figure floating in front of her. Heather bumped into it. "Huh?" She saw a white-skinned human-shape Digimon, wearing black clothing, which resembled bat's wings. The Digimon had jet-black hair, pulled up into a bun, and bat wings. "Wh-who are you?"
"I am one who you should be VERY afraid of. I have come to steal your soul, the one who you will fall prey to....Kitusomon!" she said.
Heather's eyes opened wide. "*gasp* Y-YOU'RE Kitusomon?!?" She backed off, but a tree had suddenly appeared behind her. She was cornered.
"Now... prepare to meet your end..." Kitusomon said, her hand glowing with dark energy.
"RAINBOW LIGHTNING!!!!!"
Kitusomon was cut off by a whiplike form of multicolored energy wrapping around her wrist. "What?!"
Heather followed the whip-energy to where it originated. There, a bit to the right, stood Galaxiamon, with everyone else behind her. "Galaxiamon! And everyone else!!"
"Now look here. You lay a FINGER on my best friend, you answer to me!!" Galaximon shouted, powering up a Nebula Beam.
"Oh, and what if I do THIS?" Kitusomon asked, shooting out a blade from her finger, that stopped just millimeters from Heather's forehead. Everyone stared on in shock.
Galaxiamon narrowed her eyes. Kitusomon had REALLY crossed the line this time. "Grr.... that's it, I've HAD IT WITH YOU!!! Galaxiamon! Digivolve too........ GaiaGalaxiamon!!!"
"Help her out, Gabumon!!" Matt shouted, taking out his Digivice.
"You too, Agumon!" Tai said, doing the same. Neither of them noticed that their Digivices were black.
"Agumon! Warp-digivolve to......WarGreymon!!"
"Gabumon! Warp-digivolve to......MetalGarurumon!!"
Something was wrong. WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon seemed different somehow. Their armor was black, instead of their usual colors. The two Mega Digimon turned around and looked at their friends with fire in their eyes.
"...What's wrong, WarGreymon? Attack!" Tai yelled.
"You too, MetalGarurumon!!" Matt shouted, getting mad.
Kitusomon laughed. "Your Digimon are against you now," she said. "My Black Digivices really proved effective. Now, I'll just take care of this little wench now. Bat's Fury!!" A swarm of bats surrounded Heather and Kitusomon. They lifted the both of them up into the air.
"Aaaaaaah!! GaiaGalaxiamon! Help me!!!" Heather shouted, trying to see through the thick cloud of bats.
GaiaGalaxiamon took off into the skies, the ribbons on her pants flying about. "Come back here, you witch! Moon Prism Shockwave!!!!" The bats surrounding Heather and her captor made a black shield, deflecting the attack back at GaiaGalaxiamon. Her ivory wings charred to a dull brown color, and she plummeted to the ground below. "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!"
"Hang on!!" Paula shouted, running backwards to catch the wounded Digimon. "I've got you! OOMPH!!" GaiaGalaxiamon landed on her and de-digivolved, all the way down to Kiyonimon. Both of them were out cold.
"Paula!" Ness shouted, running over to them. He used PSI Healing Gamma on both of them, and they woke up. "Are you guys okay?"
"I think so, just a little winded..." Paula said, standing up.
Kiyonimon said nothing. She just stared up into the dark sky, tears filling up in her large blue eyes. She made a fist with her small pink hand. "I'm sorry Heather..... I have dishonored myself.... I wasn't able to protect you...." She wiped her eyes.
"Hey, it's okay Kiyonimon... None of us could do anything at the time...." Kari said, hugging the In-Training level Digimon.
"I know, but I still feel awful 'cause I let Kitusomon.... take my only friend...." Kiyonimon said, the tears flowing freely.
"Don't worry, we'll find her!" T.K. said, patting her head.
Kiyonimon pulled away from Kari's hug, and stared up into the sky. She began to get angry. "Ugh.... DARN YOU KITUSOMON!!! DARN YOU STRAIGHT TO HECK!!!!! (PikaChan's Note: I'm not too fond of cursing in a fanfic X.x;;)" she yelled, a yell so loud that every creature in the Digiworld could hear it.
*I can't belive MetalGarurumon acted that way....* Matt thought, slowly making his way back to the campsite. Gabumon was walking behind him, a guilty look on his face.
"I don't know what came over me, Matt, honest!" Gabumon said, his eyes getting blurry.
"Sure.... Now Heather's gone.... and none of us knows where Kitusomon took her...." Matt said, not taking his eyes off of the ground.
"Kiyonimon knows," Gabumon said.
"I don't trust her.... she used to be one of Kitusomon's minions. She'd probably lead us into a trap. Just like the bridge... I knew we should have gone the other way..."
"Kiyonimon wouldn't do that!"
Matt turned around and looked at his Digi-friend. "How would you know?!"
"Matt, listen. A long time ago, when I was just a baby (PikaChan's Note: Does anyone know what Gabu-chan's Baby form is called? X.x;;), I met up with a small purple Digimon. She reminded me of Pabumon (PC's Note: Tento-chan's Baby form, I think e.e;). She had a single antenna, with a crescent moon on the tip and a star on her forehead, and bright blue eyes -- the same as Kiyonimon's," Gabumon explained.
"And...?"
"That was Kiyonimon's Baby form, Kitamon. Kitamon and I were good friends. We hung out a lot, not really saying anything (cause she couldn't talk), but I knew she was waiting for someone, just the same as I was waiting for you. She often drew pictures in the dirt, pictures of a girl with pigtails."
"Don't tell me. Heather, right?"
"Right. One day, the same day I became Tsunomon, she became Kiyonimon, and we could finally have a civilized discussion. But we didn't talk much, as a swarm of bats (much similar to that of Myotismon and Kitusomon's) covered the area in darkness. I saw images of several evil Digimon -- Devimon, Etemon, Myotismon, and the Dark Masters -- and at the head of the group was a female Digimon. One with pale skin, ebony hair, and batlike wings...." Gabumon trailed off.
"....Kitusomon." Matt finished.
"Correct. They were all members of a guild called the Black Death Squadron. Kitusomon was the leader of them. And I noticed, a caterpillar-like Digimon was in the area -- one called Catimon, I believe -- as well as the other Chosen Digimon. The bats in the sky came down and swarmed us. Koromon, Yokomon, the others and I managed to evade them, all except for Kiyonimon, Catimon, and Nyaromon. Now when the bats picked the three other Digimon up and lifted them into the air, Nyaromon seemed to fight back, and I saw her fall from the sky a couple of miles away. But Kiyonimon and Catimon weren't so lucky...."
"So if you all had not managed to escape, then none of this would have happened, and the Black Death Squadron would have taken over the Digital World," Matt said.
"Yes. So I hope you will take my words to heart, and learn to trust Kiyonimon. I did...." Gabumon said, walking ahead of Matt.
"All right.... I trust you.... and I hope I can trust Kiyonimon as well.... I'm doing this for you, Gabumon...." Matt whispered to himself, and began walking again. *And you, Heather.....*
**************************************************** ****************
When Matt arrived back at the campsite, everyone else was already there. Nobody was really saying much, as they were busy, all doing something different. Tai and Agumon (who had already cleared everything up as to why WarGreymon had not followed instructions), along with Ness, Poo, Joe, and T.K, were cooking some hot dogs over the campfire. Sora, Mimi, Kari, and Paula were all tending to Kiyonimon, who had been greatly wounded during the short battle between she and Kitusomon. Jeff and Izzy were still trying to get their laptops to work, and all of the other Digimon were with their respective friends.
"Hey Matt," Tai greeted, standing up. He grabbed his Digivice and walked over to Matt. "Check this out, I think I know why WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon were all acting up! Take a look at this!!" he said, shoving his Digivice in Matt's face.
"Hey, it's all.... black...." Matt murmured.
"Yeah! I think Kitusomon must have sent one of her henchman (PC's Note: Parakkimon 9.9;;) to switch our real Digivices with thes different ones that turn our Digimon evil when they warp-digivolve..."
"Whoa! Slow down," Matt said, cutting him off.
"...or digivolve to Ultimate," Tai finished, a little more slowly.
Matt looked at his own Digivice. Sure enough, it was black as well. "Do you think Izzy or Jeff might be able to fix them to work like the regular Digivices? 'Cause I kind of like them when they're all black... and I think you should turn around, Tai."
Tai looked over his shoulder. "AAH!!" He ran over to the campfire, which had suddenly gone ablaze. "My hotdog!!"
Gomamon, who was sitting with Joe, jumped back. "Marching Fishes!" he shouted, aiming his attack at the fire, which went out on impact. "Man.... and I'm sooooo hungry too...."
"Looks like all of our hotdogs got fried..." Ness said, looking at his, which looked like a piece of charcoal.
"No fear!!" a voice shouted behind them. All of the guys looked in the direction of the girls, and saw all of them standing there, triumphant grins on their faces. "Leave the cooking to us girls!!" Paula yelled.
"Oh brother...." Tai said, falling over.
After everyone had finished the so-called "dinner" that the girls prepared (it mostly consisted of nuts and wildberries), Tai got Izzy's attention. "Izzy, you might want to take a look at your Digivice..." he said.
Izzy looked up from his laptop and grabbed his Digivice. "AAH! When did this happen?!" With that remark, everyone else looked at their own Digivices.
"Oh man... I knew you shouldn't have picked those nuts!" Sora said, looking at Mimi.
"I thought they were walnuts!" Mimi exclaimed, shouting so loud that Palmon, who was sitting next to her, nearly fell off of the log they were sitting on.
"You're not hallucinating.... they're really black," Izzy said.
"Izzy, do you think you can see if you can re-program them to work correctly?" Matt asked.
"Sure, it beats trying to debug my hard-drive," Izzy said, collecting all of the Digivices. "Jeff, why don't you take some of these?"
And so began another long night, with plenty of other ones to follow.

Kitusomon was watching the whole argument through her onyx-trimmed crystal ball. "Those two are hopeless..." Chonchimon lay by her feet.
