Kari's Song

Chapter 2: A Picnic, a Song and Two Confessions

I was 9:00 a.m. in the morning and Kari woke up to prepare herself and Gatomon for the picnic.

"Good Morning Gatomon" Kari Greeted Gatomon. "Good Morning Kari, do you slept well?" asked her Digimon to her. "Yeah very well Gatomon thanks" said Kari. "Do you think Tai and Agumon were already up?" Asked Gatomon while Kari prepared the breakfast for the four of them (NA: their parents are out of the town visiting Kari and Tai's Aunt) "I don't think so Gatomon I better go to check those two or we going to be late" Said Kari as she walked to Tai's room. When she entered, she saw Tai and Agumon snoring like a garbage disposal making her sweatdrop. "Geez and he said that I don't gonna wake up in time" Kari sighed as she walked up to Tai's bed and shouted in his ear. "TAI KAMIYA WAKE UP NOW WE ONLY HAVE TWO HOURS TO GET READY FOR THE PICNIC!!!"

Tai practically fell of his bed dragging Agumon with him. "Ouch, Kari do you have to wake me up like that?" asked an angry Tai as he and Agumon rubbed their sore butts. "Sorry guys but we have to get ready or we'll be late for the picnic" said Kari while Gatomon just smirked at the scene.

"Alright just let me take a bath wake up fully and I'll help you to get ready" said Tai as he entered in the bathroom closing the door behind him.

Meanwhile In the Takaishi Apartment

"TK Wake up we gonna to be late for the picnic" said Patamon to his friend as he jumped on his stomach causing the boy wake up startled. "Alright Patamon I'm up already but I'm short in sleep because Matt and I were working until late writing the song for Kari" said a still sleepy TK only to then walk to the Bathroom to take a shower.

After take his shower TK put in his backpack all the necessary for the picnic and later he and Patamon were walking to the park which was the meeting place for the Picnic.

Meanwhile in the park, Matt, Mimi, Sora, Joe, Izzy and their digimons already were in the park waiting for Tai, Kari, TK and their digimons.

"Where are Tai, Kari and TK?" Asked Sora to her friends. "Well Knowing Tai, I'm sure he woke up late and for as TK look behind you" Said Matt. Sora turned to look TK and Patamon walking up to them. "Hi guys sorry I'm a little late" said TK as he and Patamon greeted his friends. "Don't worry TK, Tai and Kari still hadn't arrived yet" said Joe as he adjusted his glasses, but in the moment that Joe said that someone behind him spoke "Someone said our names?" All of them turned to see Tai, Kari and their digimon running up to them.

"Sorry guys Tai woke up late! Said Kari as she poked Tai in the stomach with his elbow. "Ouch" say Tai as he rubbed his stomach. "Tell me anything I don't Know" Said Matt sarcastically while the others laughed their heads off. "Oh! Shut up Matt" Said a slightly angry Tai. "Hey man it's just a little joke to light the mood easy" said Matt as Tai calmed down. "Alright but only for this time Matt. "Well what about if we start the picnic guys?" asked Tai to the others "Yes!!!" Said the others happily.

"H-hi TK" greeted Kari at her best friend "H-hi Kari" said TK blushing a little and totally lost in Kari's crimson eyes as Kari was losing herself in TK's blue eyes.

"Wow Kari it's so beautiful" thought TK. "TK it's so handsome and cute" thought Kari as she stared into TK's eyes. The two teens remained staring at each other for a while without said a word, their digimon on the other hand were not different of them they too were staring at each other without saying a word, the others saw this and couldn't help but smile at the keepers of Hope and Light and their Digimon.

"So…" Began Tai "Do you gonna keep staring at each other all the day or join to us to set the picnic? " Kari's brother asked snapping TK, Kari and the Digimon of their trance and making them blush deep red.

"Umm yeah sorry, let's help Kari" TK said. "Ok TK" Kari agreed.

So they helped to set the picnic and then they started to enjoy the food and drinks as they talked about the Digiworld and making Jokes, they were seated as follows: Tai and his girlfriend Sora, next was Matt and his girlfriend Mimi, next was TK and Kari and at last was Joe and Izzy (NA: no is not yaoi)

When they finished to eat, Matt proposed that they can sing as entertainment which everyone agreed, but the truth about this fun was to help TK to sing his song for Kari, so Matt brought his Guitar an began to sing first. (NA: The only song that I put lyrics was TK's song for Kari, for the other I only wrote a title of a song =D)

Matt was the first to sing, he sang a song called "Leaving on a Jet Plane" by John Denver

Next was Mimi, she sang "Email My Heart" by Britney Spears

Next was Tai, he sang "Team" with Agumon as second voice (Best Partner 1 CD)

Next was Sora, She Sang "Ashita wa Motto" (Digimon Best Hits Parade)

Next was Izzy, He sang "Version Up" (Digimon Best Hits Parade)

Next was Joe, He sang "Chigau Boku ga Iru" (Digimon Best Hits Parade)

Next was Kari, She sang "Holy Light" (Digimon Best Hits Parade)

And finally was TK's turn to sing his song and before he start to sing he said

"I wrote this song with Matt's help for you Kari. Listen carefully and I hope you like it"

Kari was surprised by this and she blushed madly while the others only smiled, then TK nodded to Matt who started to play his guitar and then TK began to sing:

Like a storm in the desert

Like a sleepy blue ocean

All the DigiDestined and Digimon were totally surprised, the song was beautiful, Kari's eyes were filled with tears, but not tears of pain, these were tears of joy.

Patamon took his chance and then he laid one wing around Gatomon's shoulders catching her out of guard at first but then she snuggled closely to him to later continue hearing TK's song.

Let me lay down beside you

Let me always be with you

Come love me my angel

After the second part of the song TK stopped to sing and Matt played a little guitar solo, Kari took her chance in that moment and ran to hug TK.

"I love you Kari, forever and ever" said TK losing himself in Kari's eyes. "Oh! TK I Love you too with all my heart" said Kari hugging him tight.

All the other DigiDestined were very happy for them, then Patamon whispered in Gatomon's ear "I love you Gatomon" Gatomon turned to see Patamon staring lovingly at her with a little blush in his face. She was waiting to hear those words for so long and she finally heard them, she then smiled at Patamon. "Oh! Patamon I love you too" said Gatomon. Then she leaned and kissed him deeply on the lips which Patamon gladly returned it while TK and Kari sang the last part of the song.

When the song ended TK and Kari leaned in and shared their first Kiss, it was a very passionate kiss that made their hearts beat faster and in sync with each other, Gatomon and Patamon were still kissing each other while the others were cheering at them

"GO TK!" Said Matt as he exchanged high fives with Tai. "You go Kari!!" Said a very happy Tai "How cute" said Sora and Mimi at same time. "Prodigious" Said Izzy with Joe nodding in agreement with him, but no one of two new couples were paying attention to their friends they only were paying attention to each other and their love. That endless love that make the unity of Hope and Light unbreakable and eternal.
