Part two: The black out

We sat around in a circle, the fire hissing and crackling and the howling of the cold wind outside. Hirokazu and I colored out of coloring books as Takato drew a picture sitting next to Lee. Juri and Ruki are taking naps on their beds holding each other close. Ryo sitting on his bed reading a book and Suzie sitting on her brother's lap still rapped up in the green sweeter.

There isn't much we can do since the powers out but there's more than one way to pass the up until it does. Mrs. Taylor walks around and checks on everyone.

"Wow, Takato. You are becoming quite an artiest aren't you?" She said bending down and looking at the paper.

I crawled up and looked at the paper to see that it was a drawing of a red dinosaur with a symbol on its chest.

"Thanks Mrs. Taylor." He said with a smile as he continued to color.

It turned and crawled back to Hirokazu and continued to color when …

"It's nappy time Suzie."

"I don't wanna take a nap!" Suzie wined hiding her face in her brother's chest shaking a little, "Leeee make her go away!"

"Look. My sister doesn't have to take a nap if she doesn't have to."

"I'm sorry it's one of the rules."

With no other words, Mrs. Taylor stepped closer and took the little girl out of Lee's arms. He and Takato immediately got up very alarmed by Mrs. Taylor's action.

"I'm sorry if I scared you by my sudden action, Lee … but it you want Suzie to get better she needs to rest."

"Mrs. Taylor is right," Takato said putting his hand on the other boy's shoulder, "she'll never get better if she don't rest."

Lee stood there as his hands balled into a fist trying to keep his anger under control. I never seen him look so angry and I don't think Takato has either. Mrs. Taylor smiled as she turned and walked to the bed carrying a crying Suzie in her arms.

"I wish you weren't my big brother!" She sobbed.

I immodestly looked back at him to see nothing but pure pain as everyone else gaped in horror.

"Suzie! That was really mean!"

By now tears where coming down Lee's cheeks as he ran out of the room with Takato following him with a worried look on his face. Man, I never seen someone look so hurt before. Mrs. Taylor ran out of the room … probably to see if Lee's all right.

"What's going on?"

I turned my head to see that Ruki and Juri have awakened … probably by Suzie's wining. Both girls sat next to her as Ruki pulled the little girl into a hug.

"There there …. everything's going to be all right."

I rolled my eyes and went back to coloring. I'll never understand female relationships and I wouldn't be surprised if Hirokazu didn't either. I looked his way to see that he had slid me a piece of paper. I took the note opened it.

Kenta,lets go somewhere where there is less tension.

I nodded my head as we both walked out closing the door. I followed him down the hallway when we heard voices. We creped to the door that was open and peered in.

"I'm sure she didn't mean it …"

"Yes she did …. or she wouldn't have said it …." Lee chocked.

Takato walked up pulled the other boy into an embraces.

"Lee-chan, if you go back and apologize I'm sure things will go back to normal."

Ha! I knew it! I knew that there was something going on with those too.

"Yea …. but what if she doesn't want to talk to me anymore!"

I sighed stepped back and leaned against the wall and turned to Hirokazu when I felt a sudden chill.

"Let's go back to the room. I'm cold."
