Chapter Four: Ruki gets adopted

I sat on the floor again coloring out of a coloring book. Suzie and Lee are taking a nap together; Takato drawing another master-peace, Hirokazu and Ryo are playing a nice round of cards. Juri's brushing Ruki's hair.

Everything's nice and cozy. Just as it should be.

One thing is missing though …. where's Mrs. Taylor? When she's late that means that …. we turned our heads when the door opens and two unknown lady's walk in with Mrs. Taylor. Takato gets up walks to his boyfriend and wakes him up.

"Everyone," Mrs. Taylor announced, "This is Mrs. Makino and her mother … Mrs. Makino, this is Kenta, Hirokazu, that's Lee and his sister Suzie, over there is Ryo and Takato and the two young lady's over there are Ruki and Juri."

Mrs. Makino looked around the room at all of us. I can tell that everyone was very nervous then she looked straight at Ruki slightly blushing. I could tell Juri is starting to panic now.

"We'll take Ruki." Mrs. Makino said.

"No!" Juri panicked holding her girlfriend close, "if you adopt Ruki, you have to adopt me too!"

Man, talk about a lot of tension in the air right now. Ruki looks a little scared her self. Is this how adoption is supposed to be like? I hope not! I don't want to separate from Hirokazu. I would kill myself if that happened.

"With all due respect Mrs. Makino," Takato spoke up with a worried look on his face, "Juri loves Ruki very much … try and understand …"

*Ahem* We turned our heads to see Mrs. Taylor shaking her head with a 'Takato-stay-out-of-this' look. I looked back at Ruki and Juri … boy do they look upset.

It wasn't long before we where at the front door saying good-bye to Ruki.

"Take care of your self wildcat." Ryo teased giving her the tombs up.

"Ruki-chan …. here."

Juri took her girlfriends hand and handed her the one thing that she had to offer … her puppet. I can tell Ruki was horrified of taking it.

"Juri-chan … I … I can't take this … it's the only thing you have left …."

"Take it," she insisted, "so you can remember me."

SILNCE …

"You'll take care of Juri for me wont you?"

"Of course Ruki," Mrs. Taylor said.

Both girls hugged for one moment before Ruki got in the car and taken away. Juri turned and ran back inside sobbing; Mrs. Taylor ran after her. I turned my head when I saw Takato hung his head. I frown. Why would he be bent out shape for her? Is there something I'm missing here? Takato isn't seeing her is he? I turned to look at Lee to see if he was showing any singing of jealousy and sure enough I couldn't tell. It's hard enough to know what that guy is thinking same as Ryo.

Minds as well do what Ruki wants.

Take care of Juri.

We both walked in two minuets latter to see her sobbing in Mrs. Taylor chest. We all walked up to her with worried looks.

"Come Juri, cheer up," I said putting my hand on her shoulder.

She just pulled away from me. Okay … so I won't touch you.

"You'll see Ruki some day." Takato said trying to do the same thing I did but got the same result.

"Just leave me alone!"

"I think it's time we all had a nap." Mrs. Taylor said calmly.

"I don't want a damn nap! I want Ruki-chan back!" She screamed.

OW! Talk about busting some nerve's in the ear-drum. Mrs. Taylor sighed pulled the covers up to as she nodded for us to walk out of the room.

And we did as we where told.
