Chapter Six: Not again!

"Come one. Wake up!"

It was Suzie going around the room waking everyone up for the big day. I turned my head toward the door and looked up at the clock.

6:00 A.M.

I fell back pulled the covers over my head. I don't want to get up now. It's too early for that. Even though it was Christmas. I just don't want to have to interact with the world right now.

"Lee, make him get up! I want to open my presents!"

"Ahh. Good morning …. oh … good morning Suzie … you're looking better."

I pulled the covers away from my face to see Mrs. Taylor walking up.

"Yea. But no one wants to get up and open presents."

Mrs. Taylor chuckled as she picked her up and carried her to bed.

"You'll just have to be patient until everyone's up."

"Why can't I open my presents?"

"Come one Suzie, that wouldn't be fair," Said Mrs. Taylor giving Lee's little sister a hurt look, "we all want to see you open your presents … right Kenta?"

"Uh … yea."

I woke up one hour latter to hear the fire going. Soft Christmas music going in the back ground. I got up and looked to see who else was up. The one last person to wake up is Takato.

"Come one Takato-kun, wake up!" Suzie says shaking him, "Lee, make him wake up!"

"Let him be. If he wants to rest a little bit more let him." Mrs. Taylor responded.

Without warning, Lee walks up and climes into bed with Takato. I watched with interest and discovered that Takato was faking that was fast a sleep and I think I know why.

"Mrs. Taylor ...."

We all turned our heads to Mrs. Right with disapproval on her face. She's a fifty-year old lady with gray hair, stern cold blue eyes and very skinny. I never like the way she looks at me, it's like she looks deep into me searching for some kind of weakness and use it.

"Yes."

"I need you to come to the front desk."

"Sure."

Mrs. Taylor gets up and walks to the door.

"And what I have I told you about disciplining the children?" Mrs. Right asks angrily as Mrs. Taylor closes the door behind her.

"I never liked that witch!" Hirokazu shutters as he sits close to me. "I never liked her from the start ... the way she looked at me that is."

"Oh come on, be nice," Juri responds, "just because she's an old lady doesn't mean that you have to be so opinionated."

I was about to say something when the door opens and Mrs. Taylor walks in, her face dark and sad. I can feel all eyes where on her. I watched as she walks over to Lee and Takato.

"Lee, Suzie ... I need you to come with me."

"But I haven't opened my presents yet."

"I'm sorry, Suzie ... they'll just have to wait, okay sweetie?"

She moaned in defeat as she put the present down. Lee got out of bed as Takato's hands trickled down his body like water as if all the energy was sucked dry. Juri walks up and sat beside him as the door closed gently.

We waited for a good thirty minutes before Lee and his sister came in with a name man and a woman. The same two people in the picture frame near Lee's bed? This is all too weird if you ask me. The lady looked around with a smile on her face, a kind-hearted smile.

"You have a lot of friends, honey." She said.

"Yea! This is Ryo, Juri, Hirokazu, Kenta, and over there is Takato Lee's ..."

Don't say it! Or they'll never see each other again!

"....best friend."

Feww!

"That's great," Said the man, "we'll be up front singing some paper work."

They both turned and walked out. Takato immediately went to Lee with tears in his eyes. Now I know what exactly is going on.

"Lee, what's going on? They can't be your real parents .... you said that they where gone ..."

"I ... I don't remember much .... just waking up here and meeting new friends ... like you."

"Do you have to go? ...."

I can tell that he was going to say something else but Mrs. Taylor walks in.

"Mrs. Taylor," Said Takato running up to her, "can't you do something? Does Lee have to go?"

"I'm sorry, dear, but there's nothing I can do. If Mr. and Mrs. Jenyra want to take him home they have that right."

"--- What ---- what if they --- they are mean to him --- I wont be there to protect him!"

Man, talk about being dramatic here. That's when Mrs. Cell-phone made a weird ring. She took the phone from the waist line of her pants pushed a button and brought it to her ear.

"Hello? Hi! How are you?" She asks, her eyes sparkling, "that's just great. I'll put her right on. Juri, its Ruki."

She walks up to her and hands over the phone over. Juri puts it to her ear.

"Ruki-chan? I'm doing just fine. Yes I did and thank you."

By now Juri was blushing as she continued to talking.

"I have to go ... Lee's parents are here and Takato needs all the support he needs ... yea I will ... talk to you soon ... love you."

Mrs. Taylor walked as Juri as she handed the phone and pushed a button and put it back on her waist line of her pants. The door opens and Lee's parents walk in with a smile on there faces ... sad smile's.

"Are you ready?" Mrs. Jenyra asked in a gentle voice.

"Mommy, can't we open our presents first?" Suzie asks.

"Sure. I see why not."

Her face lights up like a Christmas tree as she zooms over to the tree and grabs the biggest one with her name on it. Like a ferocious animal she tore the wrapping and lifted the box open.

"Oh!" She cries in joy as she pulls out a big fluffy bunny.

It had long ears like Leo-The-Lop, greed scarf and big black pit eyes. She turns gets up and rushes over to her brother and hugs him. Both boys smile as she runs over to open another one.

"Suzie wait," Mrs. Taylor says, "why don't we open our presents one at a time. Since you open your first why not Takato go next and then Lee and so forth if that's okay with you Mrs. Jenyra?"

"That's okay with me. It will give us a chance for us to meet the Lee's friends."

Oh, gee thanks, I thought as we walked to the Christmas tree and piled our present in front our feet. We watched as Takato tore the wrapping with trembling fingers. He lifted the box open; he lifts what looks like yellow goggles. He turned to his boyfriend.

"Thanks." Takato says softly as he puts on the goggles.

"No problem ..."

"Okay, Lee it's your turn."

He took the page and started tare the wrapping. The box was wide and white once he opened it. I couldn't help but look to see that it was a red vest. Mrs. Jenyra is now looking over her sons shoulder.

"Wow. Put it on!" Mrs. Jenyra says excitedly.

Lee takes the vest gets up and puts it on. I'll have to admit .. he does look nice in it but I shouldn't tell Takato or he'll pound me into the ground.

"It looks nice on you, Lee." Takato says as his boyfriend looks at him.

"It does. Thanks."

"You're welcome ..."

Just then there was a blinding flash from my right. I turned my head to see that Mrs. Taylor had taken a picture.

"Warn me next time when you do that, will ya?"

"Sorry, but it was a Kodak moment." She teased.

I couldn't help but chuckle as I shook my head think how scary she is (in a fun way that is). Soon it was Ryo's turn; he got some new half-gloves. Then it was Juri's turn to open her present. It was a new green and yellow dress. Then it was my turn. The present was small and square. Once I opened it, it turned out to be Pokemon training cards.

"Okay, Hirokazu ... it's your turn."

"It's about time."

He took the present and opened, I bit my lip as he opened the box and took the folded black shirt.

"Thanks Kenta. I'll put it on right now!"

He got up and ran out as Mrs. Taylor winked at me. I hope that Hirokazu likes it, the strange thing is that I didn't feel like I really gave him a present at all; even though Mrs. Taylor said for me to sing it so it was from me. I still can't help but feel worthless.

"That's nice that you guys took care of our children why we tried to bring our lives back together, we appreciate it." Mr. Jenyra explained.

"Any time. I love them as if they where my own."

We where all out saying good bye to Lee and his little sister. The only person who was taking it the hardest was Takato.

"You'll take care of Lee for me, wont you?"

"Of course ... and don't worry you'll see each other soon." Mrs. Jenyra said with a smile.

Takato just sniffed as he let his boyfriend go as he turned and headed to the car. The engine started and the car took off. Lee turned and looked back at us as the car moved further and further away. Juri walks up and puts her hand on his shoulder and whispers something in his ear and Takato nods.

"I better get you in before you guys get sick." Mrs. Taylor says

One by one we all walk in but Takato. Mrs. Taylor sighs as she walks up and puts her hand on his shoulder. I was about to walk up when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned my head to see that it was Hirokazu.

"Come on. Let's play that Pokemon Training game."
