Chapter 14: The Last Straw part two

"Are you going to be okay, Cathleen?" Her aunt asked to see her niece looking at Suzie who was staring at her bothers grave stone with no sign of life in her eyes.

"Hang on aunt Martha."

Cathleen walked up to the little princess with a sympathetic look on her face. She really felt sorry for Suzie that she lost her brother all because her parents didn't think it was time for him to settle down when he was to young for that. Once she got closer she could hear the little princess mumble things under breath.

"Why ... why ..."

"Suzie?"

"Why where mom and dad so blind ... why?"

"Shhh ...." The other girl said pulling the little princess close as she sobbed, "I'm sure your parent's didn't mean to go as fare as they did."

"What do you know?" She asked angrily pulling away from Cathleen. "Lee and Takato loved each other and they destroyed it! I hate them both for taking Lee and Lopmon away from me! I hate them!"

"Suzie!"

SLAP!

The little princess felt her self falling back on her butt putting her hand on her cheek that stung from Cathleen sapping her. She looked up at the other princess to see that she had pain in her eyes too.

"Suzie, I know how you feel but you have to understand that love is a powerful thing .... you'll understand in time ...."

"I don't care! I want my brother and Lopmon!"

****** Flash Back *******

Takato rolled over slowly opened his eyes to see that he was back in his own room. He sat up violently and looked around with fear in his eyes. How did he get here without knowing it? That .... no ... he didn't .... no .... now he'll never see his Lee again. His hands balled into a fist as he his expression turned to hate for that so-called sorrier Yamaki. He turned his head to see the door open and his parents walked in.

"Takato, what where you thinking going out there? You've gotten your self killed ...."

"Much better than being here ..." The prince mumbled under his breath.

"What's gotten into you? Your not the same Takato we knew ...."

"What would you expect coming from someone who's been a slave most of their life ..." Said the prince finally looking at this parents, "how did you know that I was living with Lee anyways?"

"A nice young girl named Cathleen. We met her and we got talking. Before we parted I asked if she saw you and she said yes. She was nice enough to tell us; that's how we knew."

Takato didn't say anything. He felt as though he was slapped across the face and betrayed and sort of lost. Why are people keep trying to keeping him from being with the one he loved? He didn't understand why. Was it really wrong to be in love? Love is just love. It shouldn't mater if they where gay or a lesbian as long as they where happy it shouldn't mater.

"Takato ... your not to come near that boy again ....."

"What?"

"We forbid it!"

"Mom, please ... don't do this .... why can't I see Lee ... he did nothing to me .... I don't understand ..."

Mrs. Mastuda didn't say anything as she walked out closing the door behind her. Takato slummed over as he sobbed into the blanket.

"Dad, tell me? What's going on? Why are you keeping Takato and I away from each other?" Lee asked angrily.

"Lee ... I ..."

"I trusted you! I thought you understood how I felt!" The prince said bitterly

"Lee ... I do ..."

"No you don't or you wouldn't try to keep Takato and I away from each other!"

Suzie was just walking down the hallway when she over heard his brother sobbing and her dad walking out. She could tell something was different about him. The little princess ran in the room to see her brother slumped over sobbing. She walked up to hear him mumbling things between sobs.

"I can't take this anymore! I loved him! Maybe ... maybe ... maybe if I hadn't met Takato-chan ..."

Lee got to his feet and walked to his knight-stand and pulled a dower that had a vile containing poison. Suzie's eyes widen in horror as he held the vile up ...."

"For you Takato ..."

"LEE NO!!!" Suzie screamed in the top of her lugs.

It was too late her brother brought the vile to his lips and drunk it and merely chocked when he heard his sister scream in horror running up with great pain her eyes.

"Suzie ... I ..."

"Suzie!! Are you all ... LEE!!"

It was Ruki running up and caught him in her arms. She gently laid him down on the floor. His parents came racing in one moment latter with great fear in their eyes.

Takato reached the Temple that night slamming the two main doors knowing that he was going to be caught in a few minutes anyways. He didn't care as long as he was with his love.

The young prince slowly walked in the main room witch was lit up with with candles and right in the center was the love of his life dressed all in white his hair nicely combed. His eyes started burn as came closer and closer as tears ran down his cheeks.

Takato looked down at his angle laying there peacefully as he gently ran his thumb along Lee's cheek bone. The prince took hold of his necklace broke the chain taking Lee's hand and slipping the ring on his finger.

"Why can't people understand ... I loved you Lee-chan ... my love ..." the prince chocked whipping the tears from his eyes, "is this the way way love suppose to be? So full of pain and denial ? No, I don't want to live like this ..."

"I know how much Takato loved your brother ...." Cathleen said

"I ... I all so found Lee's diary ... it ... it said that he wanted some day marry Takato ...."

"I know Suzie .... at lest this way they don't have to worry about people trying to tare them apart."

"I ... I guess."

Suzie turned her head to see two ghostly figures standing four feet away holding hands. The little princess smiled at the two boys as she felt a worm fuzzy feeling in her heart.

"Your right, Cathleen. They are happy together."
