Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Lenendary Children vs The Digimon Kaiser ❯ Chapter 1

[ A - All Readers ]
Hi everyone! This is my first Digimon fic, well, the first one that I actualy managed to finish the first chapter on anyway, and the first time I've ever tried working with Zero Two chatacters, so expext OOCness until I have a bit more practice. My Beta is too caught up in playing KH2 to even look at this, so until I can pester him into checking his mail, you can blame any grammar errors on his lazyness and SpellCheck. Umm... lets see.. Oh yes, the xover part wont appear until the third chapter and they won't actualy meet 'till a chapter or two after that. One last thing and I'll shut up and let you read; a bit of Kaisuke snuck it's way in here. If I get enough votes I'll continue writing it, if I don't I'll just write and we'll see what happens.
Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon. If I did, well we wouldn't have Digimon in the first plase as my imagination refuses to come up with anything new without outside help. Digimon belongs to Toei, Bandi, and, somehow, Disney.

Daisuke sat on his bed, thinking about the events of the day. He couldn't believe it; Ichijouji Ken was the Digimon Kaiser! Ken! The boy he had admired so much it had bordered on obsession!
Glancing as his clock, he groaned when he saw the time, “Midnight! I'm never going to get to sleep at this rate! Well, Tailmon did say that he never attacks at night... Yeah, I think I'll go to the Digital World, it should be quiet enough there for me to think.” That said, he grabbed his D3, put on a jacket, and booted up his computer.

Meanwhile, Ken was sitting on a large rock in the Digital World, stargazing. He didn't even jump when the silence was broken by someone falling out of the TV behind him.
“Hello, Daisuke.”
“K-Ken?” he studdered, 'I am so dead!' “But I thought you didn't come here at night!”
“I don't, usually. But just because I don't attack at night doesn't mean I can't come here to watch the stars without the light pollution of the city. Care to join me?”
Daisuke was suspicious; this could so easily be a trap. “You won't try to kill me or anything?”
Ken laughed, “No Daisuke, maybe if it was one of the others, but not you. I don't think I could ever kill you.”
To say that this statement creeped Daisuke out would have been an understatement, but he just nodded and moved around the rock to sit next to Ken. Something was still bugging him though, “How did you know it was me?”
There was only one thud when you fell through the gate. Only you and Taichi would be reckless enough to come alone, and he can't come alone.”
Excepting the explanation, he settled down and just enjoyed the quiet night.
They stayed like that for the next hour, both pointing out various constellations, until Daisuke couldn't take the unnaturalness of the situation anymore. “So, what exactly do you want from me?”
“Whatever do you mean?” Ken asked, feigning innocents.
“You know exactly what I mean! You only said that you wouldn't kill me. Under normal circumstances you would have kidnapped me and I would be sitting in a cell right now. I'll ask you again: What do you want from me?”
Ken sighed, “Airdramon is on it's way. Another five minutes and that's probably what would have happened.”
Daisuke stiffened, “So this was all a trap?”
Ken nodded, “That was the original plan, yes. I was going to wait here for you and then try to talk you into joining me and if that didn't work I would have kidnapped you like you said. Either way my most powerful enemy would no longer have been a problem.” He paused for a moment, as if collecting his thoughts, “But I've changed my mind.” He turned to look directly at Daisuke, “Whatever happens to you here tonight will be by your own will. I'm offering you a chance to join me. I don't expect an answer tonight and there is no time limit on this offer. Either way, you and your partner are free to come here after dark without fear of being attacked so long as you come with peaceful intentions. This offer does not extend to the others. However should you choose to join me, know that you won't ever be able to change your mind.”
“I- Thank you, I think. I should be going now.” '...Before Airdramon gets here and you change your mind.'
As Daisuke moved to leave, Ken slipped a piece of paper into his hand. “My e-mail address, for when you have an answer for me.” He nodded and gated back to his room.

Chibimon awoke to the sound of Daisuke cursing as he fell out of his computer. He waited for his partner to get out of the painful looking position he was in – face down on the seat of his computer chair with his knees over the back rest – before asking what he had been doing.
“I went to the Digital World to think. I ended up running into Ken and -”
“Are you Ok? If he did anything to you I swear I'll...”
Daisuke laughed a little at his partner's antics, “No, I'm fin. We just talked.” He turned away, he just couldn't look Chibimon in the eye while he said this, “He wants me to join him, to help him take over the Digital World,” a pause, “And I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm thinking of accepting.
Chibimon was horrified. This was the Kaiser they were talking about! The Kaiser, as in the guy who was enslaving innocent digimon! But then again, Daisuke was his best friend... “I can't see why you would even think about joining him, but you know I'm behind you no matter what you do.”
Daisuke smiled, “Thanks buddy. Now, I need to get some sleep. 'Night.” He collapsed onto his bed and, 0.11 seconds later (a new record!) started snoring.

And that's all I've got. And yes, I do realize that everyone is OOC in this chapter. Please R&R.
