Me: Man, is Yasashii mad or what?

Kouji: Lemme get this straight, you had her slap me twice, AND punch me! Do you suddenly hate me or something?!

Me: *glomps Kouji* Not at all Kouji-sama! *silence*...... What happened to Yasashii-sama?

Takuya: Crying her eyes out because of what you did in the last chapter

Me: *Slaps forehead* That Yasashii.....

Kouji: Vanessa doesn't own Digimon Frontier or anything related. She also doesn't own "Losing Grip" by Avril Lavigne. She DOES own Yasashii-chan, Mizumon, ect.

Takuya: And this song alternates from Kouji and Yasashii's POV's.

Chapter 9
Trust is not easy! The Chosen Children in doubt!

Yasashii felt something cold pressing against her hands. It felt uncomfortable. She tried moving them, but she couldn't move her hands away. She then noticed metal clasped around her wrist. She slowly, very slowly opened her eyes.

"Looks like you're awake, Gentle Water" A voice came up suddenly.

"What's it to you, Ranamon no oban" A vein appeared in Ranamon's head.

"What did you say!?" she demanded.

"The weather itself" She looked around and saw she was chained up on a board, Izumi, Junpei, and Tomoki with her. But Kouji wasn't there.

"Are you wondering where Light-Boy is? Are you scared 'cause you're little wolf isn't here?"

"If I was free, I'd kick your sorry as-butt right now" Yasashii growled. "And FYI, Minamoto-kun and I arn't friends anymore"

"But you can't can you?" Ranamon taunted as the others woke up. "Now some torturing..." She went and started tickiling Tomoki. He couldn't help but laugh.

"Da....dame..." Tomoki managed to gasp out. She went onto tickiling Izumi and Junpei, who both laughed a lot might I add. She strode over to Yasashii.

"I have something special for you" Ranamon smirked. "Jealousy Rain!" The black cloud hung over Yasashii. Yasashii could barely handle the pain, it was burning, litterly! She couldn't help but give a little cry out.

"Yasashii-chan! Spirit Evolution!" She heard someone that she never wanted to hear from again. "Wolfmon!" Wolfmon went and kicked Ranamon away. The effects of Jealousy Rain wore off Yasashii.

"What are you doing here, Minamoto-kun" She spat at him. Wolfmon looked at her with worried eyes.

"You'll pay for that!" Ranamon cried out.

"Just as I thought, Light-Boy came to save Gentle Water" Mercuremon came onto the scene. Wolfmon glared at Mercuremon. Mercuremon jumped on top of the castle that was near by. "Come and get me!"

Wolfmon jumped on to the building. He lept trowards Mercuremon, but he used his mirror as a shield and pushed him back. He did a backward flip and landed agilely on his feet. He took out his light saber. He ran torwards Mercuremon twirling it like a baton. "Light Seiger!"

"Generous Mirror!" Mercuremon put his two mirrors in front just before the light sabers collided with it. It gave off an intense light and forced Wolfmon backwards onto the ground. Calmaramon came behind him.

"Nero course!" Wolfmon lept away before the hot acid hit him, missing him by centimeters. But he landed in a akward position.

"I...itai" he muttered.

Wolfmon glared at the two of them, acid dripping from Calmaramon's mouth.

Agunimon looked at the barren wasteland ahead of him. "Kanbara Takuya, or Agunimon.... It's doesn't matter now" It started hailing.

"What do you mean, Takuya-han?" Bokomon asked, shielding himself from the rain. Fortunately, he found Takuya when they got separated.

"Now that I'm a digimon.... I can protect evreyone. I am Agunimon, digimon of fire!" He ran off. He ran through the wasteland and woods. He wasn't going to give up, not now, not ever.

Mercuremon pinned Wolfmon to the wall with his mirror.

"Wolfmon!" The threesome cried out, excluding Yasashii. Wolfmon limped to the ground.

"Now Light-Boy is out of the way" Mercuremon smirked.

"Let's get out of here! I'm freezing!" Ranamon complained.

*Salamander starts playing*

"Fire darts!" Agunimon shot the darts at Ranamon's feet, but missed.

"You have to wrok on your aim-!" Some darts hit Ranamon and sent her flying backwards.

"What!? I thought he was out of our hair!" Mercuremon said, surprised by Agunimon's appearance.

"Salamander Break!" He broke the place where the D-Scanners were held and sent them flying. "Wolfmon, now!"

"I understand!" He slashed the chains holding the four. They caught their D-scanners.

"Spirit Evolution!" "Chakmon!" "Blitzmon!" "Mizumon!" "Fairymon!"

The six digimon glared at the two evil hybrids.

"They made a BIG mistake!" Mercuremon chuckled.

"They'll pay for what they did! Ranamon Slide Evolution! Calmaramon!"

"More like YOU should pay! Evreyone, you ready?" Agunimon said. The digimon charged forward.

"Lighting Blitz!" Blitzmon's hand was surrounded in electricity and he slammed thr ground with it. It shocked Calmaramon really bad, since she was water and he was thunder.

Fairymon smirked. "Tornado Gamba!" She knocked Calmaramon backwards.

"Snow bomber!" Chakmon fired the snow pellets at Mercuremon and they froze their legs.

"Light Sei-"

"Seven Oceans!" Mizumon fired her attack at Mercuremon. It knocked him back. "I can do this on my own" Mizumon spat at Wolfmon. Agunimon noticed the bitter tone in her voice, but went back to the battle.

"What?! What's going on?!" Calmaramon exclaimed.

"Our powers work a lot better when we're together" Agunimon replied, fire surrounding his fist.

"I see, now that they're together, they have a possible chance of beating us!" Mercuremon understood.

"Wha-what'd you say?!" Calmaramon exclaimed.

"Burning Salamander!" The attack burned Calmaramon and Mercuremon. They both ran away.

"Gomen ne, minna" Takuya apoligized.

"What are you talking about Takuya. Thanks for coming" Izumi said. Yasashii had the urge to lash out at her, but decided against it.

"I'm very glad Takuya Onii-chan is safe" Tomoki added.

"What does Kouji think?" Junpei asked.

"I'm relieved you came, Takuya. You saved our lives" Kouji added.

"Arigouto Takuya-kun! You saved me when someone didn't have the strength to!" Yasashii glared at Kouji. "Am I right, Minamoto-kun?!" Takuya's suspiciousions were right, there was something going on.

(Kouji's POV) Are you aware of what you make me feel, baby
Right now I feel invisible to you, like I'm not real
Didn't you feel me lock my arms around you
Why'd you turn away?
Here's what I have to say

"Yasashii-chan.... you know that I-"

"Don't bother Minamoto-kun" she snapped. Takuya stared at Yasashii in shock. This was the first time she snapped to Kouji!

"What's going on?" Takuya asked densely. Yasashii didn't hear, she was off in her own direction.

"I need some time alone" she said.

Takuya turned to Kouji, his eyes burning straight through. "What happened?!" he demanded. Kouji sighed.

"I need to talk to you, alone" Kouji said, his eyes diverting to Izumi, anger in them. Kouji took Takuya to a secluded spot.

"What did you do?" Takuya immeadiently asked.

'How did he know?' Kouji asked in his mind. "I'm not exactly sure, Takuya. While you were gone, Izumi said some hurtful words to Yasashii. Izumi confessed to me...and was pretty darn close to kissing me. Yasashii didn't want to see me anymore, but when I tried to convince, her, I mentioned what happened with me and Izumi" Kouji hung his head. "I deserved those slaps and punches she gave me" he whispered.

"What do you mean 'slaps and punches'?! Did you hurt her?!"

"Not physically.... but I teared her apart emotionally, I know that much. But I don't know why" he looked up at Takuya. "Will you ask her, and tell her I'm truly sorry from the bottom of my heart" Takuya nodded.

"I will"

Yasashii stared at the black sky. 'Does Minamoto-kun think saving me will make me like him again?! How pathetic!' she thought angrily.

'Why are you doing this?' a little voice in her mind asked. 'You know you love him....' Yasashii pushed the thought away.

(Yasashii's POV) I was left to cry there, waiting outside there
Burning with a lost stare
That's when I decided

"Yo, Yasashii-san" Yasashii looked up and saw Takuya. She lept up and hugged him.

"Takuya-kun!" she said happily. A little too happily I should say.

"What's with the sudden change? You seemed pretty sullen a few moments ago"

"Oh nothing Takuya-kun. I'm just happy the one I love is back!" Yasashii said happily.

Takuya turned beet red. "Did.... I hear you right?"

"You heard me right Takuya-kun.... Watashi wa anata suki desu" Yasashii confessed. She leaned her face torwards his. Takuya blushed, and leaned forward.

But somone saw.

Kouji watched from the shadows, tears thretening to come out. But he held them back with ease. That was it. She loved him, he heard it. No use seeing them kiss. He turned away and walked torwards the camp.

'I don't need her, do I?' he thought, but knew it was a lie.

(Both POV)Why should I care

Takuya heard a shuffle and out of the corner of his eye, saw Kouji walking away, shoulders slumped. He snapped out of his 'trance' and pulled away from Yasashii.

"What's wrong, Taku-chan?" Yasashii asked.

"Call me Takuya-kun, please. This..... it's just not right" Takuya struggled with the words, but knew he had to do it.

"What's not right, Taku-chan?" Yasashii sure was persistant.

"I..... I can't be..... together with you" Takuya had his back turned to Yasashii. He felt Yasashii grab his wrist.

"Doshite? Don't you love me, Taku-chan?" she asked pleadingly. Takuya turned his head and saw that Yasashii had tears in her eyes. Takuya closed his eyes.

"I love you but...... We can't be together because...." Takuya opened his eyes, seeing the lies in her eyes. "You don't love me"

"What do you mean Taku-chan?! I love you!" Yasashii protested.

"You don't Yasashii, you know that. It's plain to see who you love"

"Fine then, tell me who I love" Yasashii stated with impatienance in her voice.

(Yasashii's POV)Am I just some chick you place beside you to take somebody's place
When you turn around can you recognize my face
You used to love me, you used to hug me
But that wasn't the case
Everything wasn't okay

"Kouji"

"I don't love Minamoto-kun"

"You do Yasashii, I know it. You're doing this to make him pay for hurting you. You're doing this to make him jealous. But I'll tell you one thing: he didn't mean to hurt you!"

Yasashii was shocked. He figured it out that soon....? "He wanted to hurt me, he has hurt me too much. What makes you think it was an accident?!"

"Because he lov- I mean, he cares about you more than the world. I don't know about his past, but it seems that you helped him a lot without knowing it"

Yasashii thought over on what Takuya said. "'Tell her I'm truly sorry from the bottom of my heart', that's what he said"

"Takuya-kun, I'm sorry for what I did. Evreything you said is right" she hung her head. "Maybe.... I should apoligize to him...... because I love him" Takuya smiled.

"At least you'll get together with someone I trust"

"You're..... fine with this?" Yasashii expected all answers but this.

"I love you, but I'll find someone. You and Kouji belong together" As much as it pained him to say it, it was the truth.

Yasashii flung herself at Takuya. "Arigouto Gozaimasu, Takuya-kun" She gave him a peck on the cheek and went to find Kouji. Takuya removed his glove and touched the spot where she kissed him. He smiled.

"I'll be there for you..... Gentle Water" he whispered.

(Both POV)Why should I care

"Kouji!" Yasashii called out. Kouji didn't stop, but he was shocked that he called her by his first name. 'No -kun, but at least she called me by my first name and not Minamoto-kun' he thought. She finally caught up to him. "Didn't you hear me?"

"Why do you care?" Kouji asked.

"...." Yasashii tried to figure out how to say it. "Kouji.... I.... I...... Gomenesai"

"Gomenesai!?"

"I'm sorry I acted like a bitc-brat to you. I was just so angry..... I..... felt betrayed"

"How could you feel betrayed?!" Kouji kept his sentences short.

"Because.... I...... Watashi..... I lov-care about you too much, Kouji" Yasashii replied.

"Nani?!" Yasashii cried out. "What do you mean?! Am I a girl you placed beside you to take somebody's place?!"

"Yasashii-chan, I didn't mean it that way! She was a fam-" Too late, Yasashii was running off.

"What have I done now, Yasashii-chan" Kouji whispered, the wind playing with his ponytail. He threw his bandana to the ground. "Why? Why do I keep hurting you?"

"Kouji-han~!!!!!!!!" Bokomon ran to Kouji. "Mercuremon..... no, Sefirotmon, has appeared!"

"Nani!?" He soon saw it. In the distance next to a cliff, was a huge thing of green balls connected by rods. "Yasashii-chan ran that way" He picked up his bandana and ran to the digimon.

He soon arrived there. He saw all the chosen children but one....

Yasashii. "Where's Yasashii-chan?!" Takuya turned towards Kouji.

"Wasn't she with you?"

"She ran off affter I hurt her....again" Kouji admitted quietly. But the he heard it, very faint, but his sensitive ears picked it up.

"I'm sorry Kouji-kun!!!!!!!!!!" Even if it was faint, he new it was a scream for help. Kouji's eyes widened as he recognized the next voice.

"Who's.... Kouji you keep talking about?!" the next voice demanded.

"No..." Kouji whispered. "I think I know where she is..." Kouji announced. He gulped before he said the next thing. "...She got kidnapped by Duskmon..."

Sefirotmon started glowing and the Chosen Children got sucked into him!

Takuya: Next time!

Yasashii: Where..... am I?

Duskmon: Why did you come here?

Yasashii: Ei?!

Duskmon: Give me your memories!

Ophanimon: The game to decide your future has started...

Yasashii: Next time! Fall at the hands of darkness! Forgotten memories revealed!
