(Taichi's POV)

"Fools! Look at me! Your attacks have not even left a scratch! You will fail."

My fists were clenched angrily as Menanakanamon laughed darkly.

'This can't be happening. We have to win. We have to stop her!' I thought.

The odds were totally against us. No matter what we did we could barely leave a scratch. I looked around. The Allies were strong, but were getting tired fast. Our Digimon were still very weak from the previous battle, and Menanakanamon was as strong and as fast as ever. Sora was tiring, and Yamato was hardly able to stand.

This couldn't be happening. It couldn't. Shouldn't. But it was.

I couldn't give up, though. Hikari was counting on me. They all were. They needed my courage. And I wasn't about to let them down.

A bright, shining orange light filled the room, and caught Menanakanamon's wrist.

"What the..?" She muttered. I looked for the source of the orange light. The glow came from my Crest.

All around the room, I saw different lights. Yamato's blue Crest of Frendship. Sora's red Crest of Love. Mimi's green Crest of Sincerity. Koushiro's purple Crest of Knowledge. Hikari's pink Crest of Light. Takeru's yellow Crest of Hope. Jyou's gray Crest of Reliability. Ken's light purple Crest of Kindness...

An auburn light shone to Iori as a Crest floated lazily towards him. The auburn light joined the others.

A soft, silent voice rang out through the air.

The Crest of Memory.

A gold, shimmering light shone to Daisuke, and the same soft voice rang out as the golden light of his Crest joined the others.

The Crest of Trust.

Finally, a white light shone to Miyako, her Crest appearing, and it's light joined all of the others.

The Crest of Truth.

Menanakanamon gave a loud howl, and tried to escape the light of our Crests.

All of a sudden, a shimmering silver light engulfed every one of our Digimon, the Allies as well.

"Everyone, now's the time! Attack!" I yelled.

"Rage of the Dragon!"

Menanakanamon howled in agony as the attacks hit.

"Taichi!" Hikari called. "Yamato... He's getting worse!" I whipped my head around and saw Yamato slumped down, Hikari next to him. Looking back to the fight, I saw Menanakanamon panting.
"Fallen Angel Fox Claw!" She attacked desperately. Her attack did nothing. "How... Are you... Able to Digivolve... So far?"
"We believe in ourselves, in our friends, our Digimon, and in the power of our Crests." I said.

"When one of us falls or gets hurt, we don't just leave them. We do what we can." Daisuke announced.

"We do not give up... Even when the odds are against us. We're a team, and we stick together. That's why we can Digivolve so far..." Yamato said, in obvious pain.

Well said, Chosen Ones. A voice rang out. The same voice that announced the new Crests... The same voice that...

"It's you! Where are you?" I called out as Menanakanamon gave a hiss of anger. The voice said nothing, but the lights from our Crests grew brighter.

Menanakanamon howled in pain and anger.

Chosen Ones, now is the time! Attack!

"Right!" Daisuke yelled.

"Ocean Spear!"
"Hope of the Angels!"

"Dragon Blast!"
"Electrical Storm!"
"Song of the Phoenix!"

Menanakanamon gave a final cry part human, part feline, and part fox that rang throughout the air. And then, it was over...

"It IS over, right?" I asked.

Yes. The Keeper of the Castle and all her underlings are defeated. You, the Chosen Children, have won the Ultimate Battle.

"That's great and all, but, who are you? And can you help Yamato?" Hikari asked.

Of course. Light surrounded Yamato, and he seemed to drift into a peaceful sleep. When he awakens, he will be free from the poison. Go, now, Chosen Children. Return to your homes and rest. You have done well.

(Yamato's POV)

I was asleep at home when I was awakened by Hikari's light knocking on my door.

"Can I come in?"
"Hm? Oh, sure. Come on in..."

"So... How are you feeling?"

"Better, thanks..."
She nodded. "Your welcome..." She sat down beside me on my bed. "I'm glad you're better."
"Thanks... Hey, um... Do you wanna go see a movie, later?"

Hikari smiled. "That'd be great."

(???'s POV)

I smiled, watching the outcome. The Children, their Partners, the Allies, and the Digital World were safe.

"My work is done, the evil is gone... I suppose now it's time for me to take my leave... Mysterious Riddles!"
