Chapter Twelve: More Like Us

Takato stared at the fire, his knee's to his chest; his gaze long and hard. He felt miserable without Lee, and others where not too fare off.

************* Flash Back **************

The sound of medal came closer making them feel as though time as stopped. They held their breaths when the figures came but relived that it was only their loved ones instead of guards.

"Everyone listen: We are going to have to send you away ...."

"Of course," Kenta responded,"but where?"

"I'm not leaving!"

Lee sighed, walked up and sat next in front of his crush.

Silence.

"Takato, you must ...."

"No ... I won't," The slave panicked pulling his arms around the prince into a tight hug, "I'm not going to leave you again!"

More silence.

"Takato, listen," Lee responded straightening the so he could have eye contact with him, "you'll be safe where you're going ..."

"That's right," Cathleen smiled trying to touch the other boy but he just glared at her, "I'm trying to help you, Takato ..."

"Help? You call making my master unhappy to the point that I see him cry at night, helping?" Takato said angrily.

Cathleen just stood there motionless before turning her head as her face turned dark. Everyone watched as she turned her back on him.

"Just think about it .... okay?"

With no other words, Cathleen walked out leaving everyone else looking angrily at Takato. The boy immediately shrank waiting to be slapped but the blow never came. He slowly opened his eyes looking back at Lee wondering why his master didn't punish him for speaking out. Lee looked at Ruki and she nodded her head understanding as her cousin looked back at Takato.

"Come on guys, we need to get you ready."

Everyone nodded their heads and followed her out. Ruki took one last look at the two feeling very powerless that she couldn't help him. She closed the door quietly and turned to see Juri waiting for her with a sympathetic look on her beautiful face.

"Takato, that was very mean! Cathleen is trying to help you from getting hurt or ending up like Ryo!"

"Ryo?"

"It's along story." Said Lee looking away.

"What happened?"

"To put the long story her father learned that she was in love with her slave and killed him. That's why I really want you to go with the others."

"But I just can't leave you again." Takato responded with a hurt look on his face.

"You've got too, please!" Lee said sounding very helpless.

"Why do you want to me go so bad?"

"Because," The prince responded pulling Takato to his chest his left arm around his waist and his right behind the other boys head, "you mean a lot to me, Takato."

"Why? I'll just cause you more ...."

Before the boy could finish Lee leaned closer and kiss his slave gently on the lips. Takato just looked at him as he moved a few strains of his own hair out of the way.

************ End of Flash back **************

That was my first kiss, Takato thought, and I didn't tell him that I like it. He took the prong and pocked the fire, it crackled and hissed as the flames rose hire. He turned his head to see the other two slaves sleeping peacefully in their covers, Takato couldn't help but smile at the sight. He turned his attention back to the fire when Juri woke screaming, waking Kenta up and scaring Takato to death.

"Juri, are you okay?" Takato asked as she looked around.

"I'll be okay." She responded in a shaky voice her eyes full of sadness.

The door opened and a girl walked in. She had real short brown hair clad in a pink robe, the others turned to see her walk up.

"I hard screaming. Is everything all right?"

"She just had a bad dream." Kenta responded as he laid back down.

The girl watched as Juri looked at the fire. Her expression has not changed, the young girl walked out bending down in front of her with a soft smile.

"Would you like to hang out with Miyako-chan and I for awhile, would you like that?"

"Why don't you go with her, Juri-kun .... it will keep your mind from that awful dream." Takato insisted putting his hand on her tight shoulder.

"How about? We can have some fun."

"Okay, Hikari-kun."

The young girl helped Juri up and they walked out hand in hand. That Hikari girl is a nice person,Takato thought, I wounded what Cathleen's friend will be like. He laid back down with his head behind his head closed his eyes letting his mind drifted off. He opened his eyes again looking at the fire. Lee-chan, where ever you are, I just want you know that I love you.part 13
