Chapter 1: What's a Neo? Part 1

Few things could be heard over the raging wind that spewed across the open tundra of the northern most area of the Digital World. The sun had been blocked out by the clouds long ago; as a result the cold ice was unchallenged as it continued to cover the land in a never ending cold. This land that now was illuminated by the soft glow of the moon stood one man and one beast in this frozen desert, which had been deemed uninhabitable by man and beast alike. As the cold wind cut their faces like a wall of cold daggers, they looked on unaffected. The human covered in layers of clothing looked on over the land and then down to the Digimon at his feet. "What do you think?" He asked calmly. "Maybe it's a new type?" The Digimon said looking up at the dot on the horizon. "Or maybe an old type." The human responded, a grin crossing his face, "What do you mean?" The Digimon asked looking up at him. "Forget it, doesn't matter." He said turning to the TV behind him. "We may need some help." He said his grin fading from his face. "Do you think we need "their" help?" The Digimon asked looking annoyed. "No, I think I will be calling the Digidestined." He said turning back from the TV. "Really, so we finally get to meet them." The Digimon said looking excited. "Yes, I think that's a great idea." He said his grin returning. "Well you had better hurry up and get them here that thing is moving in fast." The Digimon said looking worried. "You worry too much Dragonmon." The human said smiling down at the Digimon. "Yeah well that's what keeps me alive Ryoushi." Dragonmon said looking up at the human. "Well we do thing differently, don't we?" Ryoushi said walking back to the TV. "Makes you wonder why we make such a good team." Dragonmon said walking with him. "That's easy to answer." Ryoushi said stopping in front of the TV. "Oh, and what is the answer?" Dragonmon asked stopping as well. "We are both powerful." Ryoushi said and activated the warp to the Real World.

Kari looked on as her brother Tai played around the soccer field, around her was all the original chosen, mince Mimi. Kari looked up at the sun as it beat down on her and her friends without sympathy. "Why is it so hot?" Kari whined. "Because its summer." TK replied without thinking. Kari looked over at TK, who was at the moment sitting to her immediate right. "TK, questions like that have no real answers." She said smiling at him. "Oh, I'm very sorry, forgive me." TK said in a mocking tone. "I'll think about it." Kari said and turned her attention back to the game. "How much longer?" Kari asked after a few minutes. "That's not nice to say about your big bro's game." Sora said smiling over to the younger girl; Kari just glared at the older girl. "Sora's right Kari, you should be happy for your big brother." TK said smiling. "Oh shut up." Kari yelled with false anger. "But she is right, it is very hot." Izzy said from above her. "Yeah, how did we get roped into this again?" Matt asked shaking his head. "It's because we were too polite to say no." Joe said the others soon nodded in agreement. "Well maybe that's the case for you all, but I "had" to come." Kari said boredom present in her voice. The others laughed at this knowing it was true. "Oh well, that's the way life is." Sora said smiling. TK opened his mouth to say something, but stopped when Matt whispered something in his ear, TK nodded and he and Matt got up. "Well it's been amusing but Matt and I have to be going now." TK said with a bow and started to walk away soon followed by Matt. "I wonder were they are going?" Sora said Kari simply shrugged her shoulders.

TK and Matt walked down the trail leading from the soccer field to the park. "So do you like her?" Matt asked smiling. "Are we still talking about this?" TK asked slightly irritated. "As your big brother I think I'm justified to know." Matt said turning back to the path in front of them. "What makes you suppose I like her?" TK asked raising a brow. "I can see it in the way your eyes look when you look at her." Matt said knowingly. "I guess you're the only one who can "see" this thing in my eyes?" TK asked smiling. "That's right, because I'm your big brother." Matt said nodding. "I think you're full of crap." TK said and started to walk faster. "That's not nice to say to your brother." Matt yelled after him laughing. TK stopped and looked back at him and was about to say something when a slight beeping caught their attention. TK looked at the Digivice on his pants then he looked up at Matt whose was also beeping, a worried look crossed both of their faces and they both started running back to the soccer field.

Ryoushi looked on as the warp activated. "It's almost here." Dragonmon said. "You really should digivolve." Ryoushi said turning to the large object in the sky. "Yeah that's maybe a good idea." Dragonmon said as energy started flowing out of Ryoushi and into him. "Digivolve!" Ryoushi yelled as light over took Dragonmon.

"Dragonmon warp digivolve to. WarDragonmon"

The Digimon that had been up to about Ryoushi's knee, was now growing to a size were Ryoushi was now the size of one toenail. Dragonmon, who had once looked like a dog mixed with a lizard, now look more like a dragon from English myth, his long neck, large wings, small fore arms and large hind legs, his ears looked more like a pair of wings on his head, and a long spiked tail was attached to his back and his whole body was covered with armor like scales. Ryoushi stood unaffected by the massive Digimon that had shoot out of the ground next to him and was now taking to the air, wind ripped around him as WarDragonmon flapped his massive wings to gain altitude. "Ok show him what you got." Ryoushi yelled up to his friend. "Right." A large booming voice called down to him. "Now where are those Digidestined?" Ryoushi asked himself turning back to the TV.

"Oh this is so boring." Kari complained looking to the sky. "Yeah it is." Sora said looking at where TK and Matt had once been sitting and sighed. "What are you looking at?" Kari asked teasingly. Sora turned to her blushing, "Nothing why do you ask?" Sora replied still blushing. "You were looking at Matt's seat weren't you?" Kari asked smiling. "Yeah right!" Sora yelled in disgust. "He and I broke up a long time ago." Sora said a little calmer. "So what were you looking at?" Kari asked now really interested "Nothing, I was looking at nothing." Sora said sadness in her voice. "Oh, come on you can tell me." Kari pleaded. "I don't think I should tell you." Sora said looking at her feet. "Why not?" Kari asked. "You know, you ask too many questions." Sora said glaring at Kari. "Do I?" She asked. "There you go, asking a question." Sora said smiling. "Hey that's not nice." Kari yelled. "Yeah well, nether is prying." Sora yelled back. Kari and Sora just glared at each other for a few minutes before they both started laughing. "Come on lets get out of here." Kari said getting up. "But what about Tai?" Sora asked. "He will understand." Kari said smiling. "Your mean." Sora stated a blank look on her face. "Really, Oh well." Kari said smiling and started to walk away. 'Why not, she's leaving.' Sora thought to herself and started after the younger girl. Izzy and Joe looking at each other nodded and got up to leave. "So what was it you were looking at back there?" Kari asked again. "Are we back on this, cant you just drop it?" Sora asked back. "Come on just tell me if is really personal or not." Kari said smiling. "Yes, it is really private, I will tell you later, perhaps." Sora said tired of the discussion. "Ok I guess I'll drop it." Kari said slightly disappointed. "So what about you?" Sora asked smiling at Kari. "What about me?" Kari asked looking over at her. "Who do you like?" Sora asked her smile getting bigger. "I like my brother, TK, Matt, Izzy, Joe, Mimi, Davis, Yolie, Cody, Ken, and you." Kari said smiling at her. Sora looked at her for a few seconds, and then shook her head. "You know what I mean." Sora yelled at her. "I don't like anyone in that "way"." Kari told her looking a little sad. "You don't look that happy about that." Sora noted. "Well should I be?" Kari asked looking at the older women. "Well most people can just answer that without much sentiment because they just don't, there's nothing to be sad about." Sora told her stopping. "Well the truth is, I did love someone, but." Kari just left the sentence hanging. "But what?" Sora asked. "He's not in love with me." Kari told her looking at the ground with a smile on her face. "How do you know he doesn't love you? Sora asked walking up to her. "He told me who he did love." Kari said looking up at her. "Really, did he know you liked him?" Sora asked. "No, he didn't, but I don't really mind now." Kari told her walking forward a little and stopping again. "What do you mean?" Sora asked a confused look coming across her face. Kari opened her mouth to say something when a beeping noise caught Sora and her attention; they both looked down at the Digivice around their waists. Kari and Sora looked at the one another and started back to the soccer field.

Ryoushi looked up at his massive Digimon partner as energy started to gather around him. "OK, go get him." Ryoushi yelled up at the Dragon. Dragonmon started to move forward just as the new Digimon stopped a few yards away. The Digimon had the look over a spider with a metal coat and machine parts on it, its eight red glowing eyes locked on WarDragonmon, a long cylinder was coming out of the bottom of the sphere that made up most of its body with rows of sharp teeth on ether side of the cylinder. Its eight legs were trailing behind it like tails as it flew and now were spread out on all sides ready to strike out at its enemies with three claws on the ends of the arms. "Scatter Shot!" WarDragonmon yelled and sent a large volley of fireballs at the spider Digimon, as the balls hit the colossal beast a wall over smoke covered the area around him. "Did that do it?" WarDragonmon yelled down. "I don't think so." Ryoushi said up to him as he turned back to the TV. 'What the hell, where are those damn Digidestined.' Ryoushi thought turning back to the battle. The smoke from the attack was still parting when Ryoushi yelled up at WarDragonmon. "Fire again!" He yelled furiously. "Scatter Shot!" WarDragonmon yelled and again fired thousand fireballs at the Digimon again engulfing the area in a large explosion. 'Please be dead." Ryoushi thought looking at the smoke ball in the sky. As the smoke cleared stillness filled the air, Ryoushi and Dragonmon watched on as nothing came out of the smoke. "I think we got him." Dragonmon said. Ryoushi was about to nod when a red beam of energy shot out of the smoke and cut through the air and ripped across the ground next to Ryoushi sending a shower of shrapnel into Ryoushi's left arm. The snow under Ryoushi's feet soon turned red as his blood fell from his now torn arm. Ryoushi's right hand rushed over and graded onto his left elbow, a pained look came to his face but other then that he remanded unaffected. "Are you ok?" Dragonmon yelled down. "Don't worry about it. I'll be all right." Ryoushi yelled up still grabbing his left arm were blood continued to flow. "Just get that bitch." Ryoushi yelled and turned back to the TV. 'Fuck, where are the Digidestined?' Ryoushi thought angrily as a cold wind picked up once again.

"So are we going or what?" TK asked as the Digidestined gathered on the now empty soccer field. "Yeah, we're going." Tai said calmly. All the chosen Digidestined were around him mince Mimi and Kari. "We should have just gone." Sora said softly. "It least some of us." TK agreed. "I don't want to split up, it could be risky." Tai said still in a calm and controlled way. Just then Kari came running up. "I can't get a hold of any of the others." She said out of breath. "That's ok." Tai said turning to Izzy. "Your house is closest; we'll use the computer there." Tai said in a commanding voice, the others all nodded.

'Ok this is bad.' Ryoushi thought, his vision getting distorted by the blood running from the wound on top of his head. Ryoushi's body had mysteriously taken most of the attacks the Digimon shot at them. "Why do you think he's after you?" Dragonmon asked, he to had his share of wounds. Ryoushi did not answer his partner, but looked down at the bag around him waist, 'Is it after this.' Ryoushi thought grabbing the bag. "I think its time to really show this guy what we're made of." Ryoushi said smiling. "Ok, ready when you are." Dragonmon said turning back to the spider. "Armor Overdrive Digivolve!" Ryoushi yelled his whole body glowing white along with Dragonmon. "Let's see you take this!" Ryoushi yelled as the mega level Digimon digivolve once again.

The Digidestined had just walked into Izzy's room when all over their Digivices started to glow and vibrate. "What's up with them?" Matt asked looking down at his Digivice. "I don't know, but that's all the more reason to get to the Digital World." Tai said as Izzy started to type on his computer. "Ok here we go." Izzy said as the warp appeared on the screen. "Right, let's go." Tai said as they all held out their Digivices and disappeared into the computer.

Ryoushi saw he warp activate a ways behind him the battle drawing him away from the TV. "Oh, good, just in time." Ryoushi said sarcastically just as he heard a large explosion behind him and turned back to the battle just in time to see his partner get knocked to the ground going back to his In- Trainer form. "Dragonmon!" Ryoushi yelled just as the red beam hit the ground in front of him sending a shockwave at him with the force of a train, knocking him off the ground and landing a few yards away. Ryoushi lay there blood forming a pool around him "Damn it." He weakly whispered and his world went black.

The Digidestined landed about a minute after the battle was over and done. They looked around in horror taking in the battered landscape. "What the hell did this?" TK asked walking away from the group. "I don't know, but I'm pretty sure it's over." Tai said as the Digidestined started to look around to see if they could find any clues to find out what happened. "Looks like a battlefield." Matt said to Tai as they walked back to Izzy. "Have you talked to Gennai yet?" Tai yelled to Izzy. "Yeah I did, he said that our Digimon were on the way even before we got here." Izzy said smiling. "Really, why?" Matt asked. "He said that they saw the warp and know that we were coming." Izzy said. "Well that's good to hear." Tai said shrugging his shoulders. Just then a scream ripped through the air. Tai and Matt ran toured the scream. When they got there they saw Sora on her knees in a pool of red liquid. "Sora what's wrong?" TK asked as he ran up behind Matt and Tai and going to her. "Oh my God." TK yelled backing up. "What is it?" Matt asked as he and Tai looked over Sora's shoulders to see the body of a man that had slashes and large wounds all over and they soon realized it was blood they were standing in. "What the hell did this." Tai yelled covering his nose as the smell of the blood finally hit him. He and Matt grabbed Sora and pulled her away from the body, her pants and legs covered in his blood. "What's going on?" Kari asked as she walked up. "Kari, stay right there." Tai yelled seriously. "Why what's going on?" She asked but followed her brother's orders. "Kari, go get Joe, Now!" TK yelled and walked back toured Matt and Tai. "Ok." Kari said and ran trued Joe. "What do you think did this?" TK asked Tai and Matt as he reached them. "I have known idea." Tai said sadly. "What ever did it most be found before it can do it again." Matt said anger in his voice, Tai and TK nodded. Sora was still on her knees behind them a ghostly look in her eyes and her face had lost its color. "I'm going to talk to Sora." TK said and turned to walk to her. "That good." Matt said smiling. "Sora, are you alright?" TK as getting on his knees in front of her, she slowly shock her head as tears started to form in the corners of her eyes. "Sora." TK said again trying to get her to talk, but instead she leaded her head on his shoulder and stared to cry, warping her arms around him. "It's ok." He said into her ear and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her close to him. "What's the problem?" Joe asked running over with Kari right behind him. "It's this." Tai said pointing to the body. "Oh my god." Joe whispered out kneeling next to him just as the Digimon landed a few feet away.

"So how long till we get Gennai's place?" Tai yelled over the wind as they rode on there Digimon. "Not long now." Izzy yelled back. Joe and TK were busy working and the boy and a Digimon that had been found both badly wounded. "Will he be ok?" TK asked Sora next to him, her tears stopped but and worried look was now on her face. "Well if you had asked me that a few minutes ago I would have said no, but." Joe answered but left the sentence hanging. "But what?" TK asked leaning over to him. "Well it's just that I've never seen anything like this before." Joe said shacking his head. "What do you mean? TK asked worried, but not knowing why. "The boys healing at an amazing rate." Joe said softly. "But that's good right?" TK asked looking at Joe. "Well yes, but this is not human." He said worried look on his face. "Human's "Can't" heal this fast, he most have some sort of drug in his body." Joe finished. "You mean like steroids?" TK asked looking over the boy's body. "That most be it." Joe said shrugging his shoulders. "I wonder who he is." TK said to himself. "Look its Gennai's." Kari yelled pointing down at the small lake. "Good, he may be doing well, but he needs attention." Joe said as he and TK lifted the body.

Gennai had heard that the Digidestined were coming over but he did not think they would get here this fast. "I wonder what the rush was." He said to himself as the landed a few feet away. "Hello Digidestined." Gennai yelled waving to them. The smiling on his face got smaller as they pulled the blooded bodies of a human and a Digimon and started toured him. "What's the problem?" He asked when they were closer. "We got trouble." TK yelled. "Who is that?" Gennai asked walking to them. "We don't know." Joe answered holding the boys head up. "Have you met him?" Joe asked holding the face in view. Gennai's face contorted in anger, and then yelled. "Get him inside I will be back with help." He said then ran off. The Digidestined stood there looking after him. "I've never seen him that mad." Matt said as Joe and TK carried the boy inside.

Joe and TK carried the boy into Gennai's home and quickly found a bed to lay him on. "I hope that Gennai will be back soon." TK said looking worried. "Well if he was as angry as he looked I think he will be going as fast a possible." Matt said sitting on the floor in the main room. "Sora, are you ok?" TK asked walking back into the main room. "Yes I'm fine, I was just really shocked that's all." Sora answered smiling at him. "Well that's good, but I wonder what did that to that boy and his Digimon." Tai said looking into the room the boy was lying in. "And I wonder if it's the reason we all are here." Matt said from his spot in the center of the floor. "My guess is as good as yours at this point." Tai said sighing heavily. Kari looked into the room were the boy and his Digimon were from her spot next to Tai, as she looked in she saw the boy open his eyes slightly. 'His awake!' She thought as she moved into the room. The boy's eyes were just barley open as Kari sat in the chair next to the bed. "How are you feeling?" She asked softly. His mouth opened to say something but stopped when a pained look came to his face. Kari looked on sadly realizing how close he had come to death. "Don't worry you'll be ok." Kari said smiling running her hand through his hair; the boy simply made an almost unnoticeable nod and closed his eyes.

Just as Kari came out of the room, Gennai came running into the house with a bag under his left arm. "I will need some help holding him down." He yelled running past. "Ok." TK, Matt, and Tai all said at the same time and followed him in. a few minutes later after a lot of yelling and screaming, the four returned to the main room. Tai, Matt, and TK all looked bruised and looks of confusion on there faces. "What happened in there?" Izzy asked standing so TK could sit next to Sora, Matt and Tai took Joe and Kari's seats and sat down. "He injected him with something." TK said pointing at Gennai. "Why did it sound so painful?" Kari asked going to the door way to the room with the boy in it. "Because it was painful." Gennai said simply "Oh." Was all Kari said still looking at the door. "What did you inject into him?" Izzy asked. Gennai just looked at Izzy smiling for a few seconds before saying. "Don't worry about it; there are more important things to do now." Gennai said looking back at the door. "Like what?" Joe asked. Just then the door to the next room opened to reveal the boy they had saved wearing one of Gennai's robes with a Digimon behind him. "Hello Digidestined." He said in a cold voice grinning slightly. The coldness in his voice startled the Digidestined at first wondering if they had saved an ally or not, Tai was the first to get over the feeling. "Hello." Tai said getting up and walking over to him, putting his hand out to shake his, but got no hand in reply. Tai looked up at the man, his cold grayish green eyes just looked at him coldly with strands of his black hair covering down to his eyebrows; his hair was indeed a black color but also had a purple tint to it he was taller the Tai but most of his body was covered in robes. "Ryoushi be nice, they saved you after all." Gennai said glaring at Ryoushi throw the corners of his eyes. Tai was about to say something but Ryoushi beat him to it. "Saved me?" Ryoushi asked slightly annoyed. "If they had come when the warp was made, this would not have happened." He finished angry in is voice. The Digidestined all look to the floor. "I'm sorry, that was my fault, I'm the leader, and I opted to wait." Tai said bowing slightly. Ryoushi looked at Tai through narrowed eyes, and shook his head. "I'm not mad at you, more myself for relaying on you." Ryoushi said his voice still cold and emotionless, looking around the room he smiled slightly. "So you all are the mighty Digidestined, not what I was expecting." Ryoushi said looking behind him to the Digimon. "Are you just going to sit there or are you going to introduce yourself." Ryoushi said his voices slightly warmer to the Digimon. "Fine." It said stepping forward. "I'm name is Dragonmon, its nice to finally meet you all." It said bowing its head. "Hello, my names Tai." Tai said again holding out his hand, this time Ryoushi took it.

After the Digidestined had all given the strange new pair their names Ryoushi and Gennai had got more chairs out of the other rooms and were now all sitting down. "So what attacked you?" TK asked. "It was a Digimon, but it was unlike most I have seen." Ryoushi said sipping at his tea. "How so?" Izzy asked. Ryoushi's face became a scowl as he thought. Gennai looked on then said. "Maybe it is still too soon to say what it was." "Maybe." Ryoushi said nodding. "How do you two know each other?" Kari asked smiling. Ryoushi and Gennai looked at each other, Gennai looking hopefully and Ryoushi looking ready to kill. "We have worked together." Ryoushi said simply, Gennai looked to the floor sadly. "What do you do?" Matt asked Ryoushi. Ryoushi looked at Matt but said nothing. "That's not imported." Gennai said looking up again, "What is imported is finding out more on this new enemy." Gennai finished. "Ryoushi, you are the only one who has fought it, how strong is it?" Tai asked looking over at Ryoushi. Ryoushi looked to Tai then said. "It is beyond any enemy anyone here has faced, it's hard to say, but I think that even together we may not win." His finished his voice slightly irritated. "It can't be that strong, can it?" Joe asked worry in his voice. Ryoushi looked over at Joe with a scowl on his face but said nothing. "It would be best to trust Ryoushi's opinion." Gennai said to the Digidestined. "Again it would be helpful to know just who you are." Tai said to Ryoushi. Ryoushi looked to Gennai and shrugged his shoulders. "What's the worst that could happen?" He asked. "Well I guess it would be alright, but not too much." Gennai said looking at Ryoushi with a serious look. "Ok." Ryoushi said turning back to the Digidestined. Ryoushi looked deep in thought for a few seconds, "I don't really know were to begin." He said. "What can you tell us?" Tai asked looking slightly annoyed. "I am a member, or was a member, of a group for human and Digimon who helped the Digidestined." Ryoushi said nodding. "But I never saw any help." Matt pointed out. "Well, no you wouldn't have seen us, but don't you think it is odd the some of the Digimon you fought never sent an army at you, you must have know that they would have had a lot of Digimon working for them." Ryoushi said a slight grin coming to his cold face. "Well now that you mention it." Matt said but stopped there. "So you're saying that you and this "group" were fighting the bad Digimon's army so we didn't have to deal with them?" TK asked looking at Ryoushi. "Well yes." Ryoushi said looking over to TK. "How strong are you and your Digimon?" Kari asked out of the blue. Ryoushi looked over at her and for the first time he smiled a real smile. "How strong am I?" Ryoushi asked her back then looked to Gennai. "How much can I show them?" He asked, this seemed to make Tai mad again. "Go ahead a show them all of it, what harm can it do them to see." Gennai said smiling at Ryoushi, Ryoushi just nodded. "Let's go outside." Ryoushi said getting up, soon followed by all the Digidestined and there Digimon.

Once outside Ryoushi and Dragonmon walked a little away from the group. "Ok here it goes." Ryoushi yelled to them. "Go to Champion." Ryoushi said to Dragonmon, who simply nodded. Dragonmon was soon covered in light and grew to the size of Greymon and looked a lot like him but his skin was a gray color with large wing and his arms were longer, the skull on his head didn't have the horns but did have little wing looking pieces in there place. "Say hello to SkullDragonmon." Ryoushi said waving to the now larger Digimon. The Digidestined looked on with mild amusement. "Is that all?" Tai yelled to him. Ryoushi looked back at Tai with a frown on his face but it was soon replaced with a slight grin. "Well no." Ryoushi yelled back then looked to Dragonmon. "Well let's go to Ultimate." Ryoushi said to him. "Right." Dragonmon's now deeper voice said and light once again covered his body, the Digidestined continued to look but Kari looked to Ryoushi and saw a light glowing through his robes, 'A crest!' Kari thought looking straight at him, 'I wonder what it is.' Kari Thought just as Dragonmon finished the Digivolve. Dragonmon now looked a little smaller and was covered in a fine metal his wings were longer and narrower with a tine layer of metal covering them his eyes glow with a red light and his open mouth revealed a long row of teeth that appeared to be made of some sort of light energy. "Say hello to MetalDragonmon." Ryoushi said looking back at the Digidestined. "Hello." Sora yelled waving to it. Dragonmon waved back thou it was barely a wave, the Digidestined all looked at Sora was confused looks. "What!" she yelled to them looking to the sky her eyes snapped shut. When the Digidestined look back Dragonmon was back in his In-Training mode. "Is that all?" TK asked. Ryoushi just grinned at him. "Do it now." Ryoushi said and his crest once again began to glow with his Digivice. "Warp Digivolve." He yelled and Dragonmon began to glow, then exploded out of the ground racing into the sky, when he was done, he was towering above even there biggest Digimon. "Holy carp!" Tai yelled as the size of the Digimon filled his vision. "That is one big ass Digimon." TK said with a whistle. Ryoushi was walking back to them now. "Yes he is big, but that's not the best part about him." He said smiling. "Oh and what is" Matt asked. "He is unbelievably powerful." Ryoushi said smiling. "Does seeing him like this make you happy?" Kari asked turning to him. Ryoushi looked taken aback by the question for about a second, and then said. "Well I guess it does." Ryoushi looked at Kari for a few seconds then turned back to Dragonmon. "What do you say, show them more?" Ryoushi yelled up to his massive partner. "Why not." A booming voice shouted down to them. "What do you mean more?" Matt asked turning to Ryoushi, who was smiling more then ever. Ryoushi pulled out his Digivice, which they could now see, was really a dark gray D-3. "Okay, here we go." Ryoushi yelled then shouted. "Armor Digivolve!" Ryoushi yelled and a stream of light shot out of the D-3 and hit the massive Digimon how was then covered in a blinding light. When the Digidestined open there eyes Dragonmon had gone from a massive giant to what looked human. He was about 7, 2 with scaly gray skin and had a pair of wing that were 5 foot each, his body was covered with black armor and held a sword in his right hand, he was very muscular and had reddish eyes and a long tail swaying back and forth behind him. "Wow I didn't know we could do that." TK said to Kari who just shrugged her shoulders. She was about to said something when a slight warmth reached her left side, she and the other all turned to Ryoushi were the strange warmth was coming from, Ryoushi was covered in a white light and looked like he was in pain and when blood started to drip from his mouth they got worried. "Hey you ok." TK asked and walked up and put his hand on Ryoushi's back but soon yelled in pain and withdraw his hand. "He's as hot as a stove." TK yelled nursing his maimed hand. "What's going on?" Kari asked but Ryoushi soon shouted. "Overdrive Digivolve!" and a light shot out of Ryoushi himself and engulfed the new form of Dragonmon and a light soon blinded the Digidestined again. When they opened there eyes Ryoushi was breathing hard, but was still glowing with a white light, his hair stood on end and his robes were caught in a strange wind that seemed to be blowing up around Ryoushi, when they looked to Dragonmon, He to was glowing but with a gold aura, his armor had changed to gold and his wings were a little smaller and were folded behind his back the sword had been replaced with a large two bladed weapon that was made up of a large handle and two blades running out both ends of the handle with a hand guard in front of the handle, it too was gold. He now had a helmet on the covered most of his face long beck like snout and wing like ears. The weapon was connected to a chain that was wrapped around and hooked to his waist. "Well, what do you think of ImperialDragonmon and DivineImperialDragonmon?" Ryoushi asked still out of breath. "That's impossible." Tai said looking up at the golden Digimon. "Oh it's possible." Ryoushi said with a laugh, "But I don't think you could do it." Ryoushi finished. "Oh and why not?" Tai said looking back at him. "The Digimon's partner has to been very strong or has to have a lot of energy to do this." Gennai said as he walked over to them from his house. "Ryoushi can do this because he has both, thou right now it is probably hurting him from the wounds he got earlier." Gennai finished walking next to Ryoushi who nodded. "Yeah the old mans right, as you saw it was a little painful this time, Dragonmon that's enough." Ryoushi yelled to him, Dragonmon juts nodded then returned all the way down to just Dragonmon. Ryoushi smiled then he fell back but was caught by TK and Sora. "Hey you ok?" TK asked looked at Ryoushi holding in a laugh. "Yeah, fine." Ryoushi said getting back up. "Just a little tired." He said. "But thanks for the catch." He said looking TK up and down then turning back to Gennai. "He's the child of hope right?" Ryoushi said to Gennai who nodded. "How can you tell?" TK asked. "Well it's the energy pattern you give off, and she is the child of light." Ryoushi said pointing at Kari, who nodded her head. "You two can go to Overdrive Digivolve you know." Ryoushi said to them. "The energy of your crest will let you." Ryoushi said to them. "Really." TK asked looking excited, Kari just look less then trilled. Ryoushi looked at Kari, "Can I talk to you later, in private." Ryoushi said pointing at Kari. Kari looked shocked for a second but then said, "Ok." Ryoushi nodded then turned to Gennai. "So now that that's done with tell us what you know about what attacked me." Ryoushi said to Gennai. "Ok let's go inside." Gennai said with a smile. "You all go on I have to talk to, Kari was it?" Ryoushi said turning to Kari who nodded. "Ok see you in there." Gennai said and continued walking. Tai seemed reluctant to leave Kari, but Sora soon dragged him inside. "So what is it you want to talk about?" Kari asked smiling at him. "I presume it was you that was talking to me when I was in bed." Ryoushi said smiling slightly. Kari blushed slightly but nodded. "I just wanted to thank you." Ryoushi said smiling wider. "It has been awhile since someone has touched me not wanting to kill or hurt me." Ryoushi said running his hand along to same path she had. Kari, still blushing, looked over at him. "Don't you have friends?" She asked. Ryoushi looked at her his smiling gone. "I have Dragonmon." Ryoushi said and started back to Gennai's. "Do you have any human friends?" Kari asked, Ryoushi did not answer but he did stop and look at her. Kari looked up at him, just realized how tall he was, easily taller Joe who was the tallest Digidestined. Ryoushi looked to the side a sour look on his face, "I don't think you could call them friends, more like allies." Ryoushi said looking back at her. "I see." Kari said looking away from him. Ryoushi started back to Gennai's. "Wait." Kari called after him. "Yeah what is it?" Ryoushi asked back. "Do you want to be friends with me?" Kari asked walking up to him. Ryoushi looked at Kari for a few seconds then looked back at Gennai's but smiled slightly. "I guess we could try that, why not, we all need friends, after all if you don't have friends you only have enemy's." Ryoushi said and looked back at her. "Now come on lets get back before your brother tries to beat me." Ryoushi said in what at first seemed like a cold voice but with a touch of warmth.

"Where are they?" Tai asked no one. "Why are you so worried?" Sora asked laughing slightly. "I don't know that guy, he could be hurting her." Tai said to her. "Don't worry, Ryoushi may seem like a bad guy, but he is a very caring man." Gennai said, Sora laughed slightly. "What's funny?" Matt asked Sora, Sora looked at Matt slightly nerves then said quickly, "Nothing, just thinking about something." Sora said laughing. Just then Ryoushi and Kari walked in Kari still slightly flushed. Tai looked at the slightly red face on his sister. "What happened?" Tai asked when Ryoushi and Kari sat down a crossed from Tai and Matt. "Nothing." Kari said smiling at them looking up at Ryoushi who looked down at her and shook his head and she just laughed. Sora and Gennai looked on with shocked looks on then faces, thou Sora hid hers better. "What?" Kari asked them. "Don't worry about them." Ryoushi said nodding in their direction. "What happened out there?" Sora asked walking over and sitting next to Kari. "I just made a friend, god what's the big deal?" Kari asked. "Made a friend?" Tai asked. "Yeah." Kari said nudging Ryoushi in the side, he rolled his eyes and shock his head. Tai looked over at Ryoushi. "Where are you from?" Tai asked him suddenly. Ryoushi looked at Tai then grinned. "Where do you think I'm from?" Ryoushi asked him back. Tai looked him up and down. "Well you speak Japanese pretty well so," That's as far as he got when Ryoushi interrupted him speaking a language he couldn't understand. "What?" Kari asked from his side. Ryoushi was about to answer when Izzy spoke up. "It's English." He said nodding. "What?" Tai asked. "He said, 'I speak many languages' in English." Izzy said walking over to Ryoushi. "What other languages do you know?" Ryoushi asked Izzy. "I just know a little English." Izzy said. "What other languages do you know?" Izzy asked Ryoushi. Ryoushi smiled, "I can speak Japanese, English, German, Latin, Spanish, Italian, Russian, and an ancient Digital World language." Ryoushi said then smiled when the other gasped. "Were did you get the time to learn all those languages?" Kari asked looking up at him. Ryoushi looked down at her and smiled at her. "Wouldn't you like to know?" Ryoushi said and got up and walked into the next room. "Hey, what's that supposed to mean?" Kari yelled after him giggling slightly. Gennai looked over at Kari, "Ok, how did you do it?" Gennai asked. "Do what?" Kari asked looking over at Gennai. "Make friends with him." Gennai said waving his hands in the way Ryoushi had walked. "Why do you all think it's so weird that I'm friends with him, he is a very nice person who needs a friend?" Kari said getting up. "Well it's not weird that you wanted to be friends with him, but for him to want to be friends with you.." Gennai stopped and let Kari finish it. "Why is that?" Kari asked. Before Gennai could finish Ryoushi walked back in. "Can we get to the point now?" Ryoushi asked another cup in his hand. "Yes of course." Gennai said sitting down. "Hold on I'll get the Digimon in here." Kari said walking what to the room. "So why did you do it?" Gennai asked. "What?" Ryoushi asked looking over at him. "Why did you become friends with her?" Tai asked a little angry. Ryoushi looked over at Tai. "You got a problem with me being her friend?" Ryoushi asked narrowing his eyes at Tai. Tai just looked at him. "That's enough out of all of you." Sora yelled getting in-between Tai and Ryoushi. Just then Kari walked backing with all the Digimon and Joe with her. "Ok now we can start." Kari said as she entered. "Ok old man this is your show." Ryoushi said and sat down, soon followed by all the others. "Ok now what do you want to know?" Gennai asked smiling. "What attacked me?" Ryoushi asked seriously. "Ok I should have known that's were we would begin." Gennai said and ran a hand through his hair and had a look of deep thought. "Ok first one question." Gennai said. "Well what is it?" Ryoushi asked. "Do any of you know what a Neo is?" Gennai asked, there was a long pause, Ryoushi looked up at Gennai but said nothing, and then Kari spoke, "What's a Neo?"
