Chapter 1: Summer Camp"WHAT!!! What do you mean I have to go to summer camp." Vincent angrily shouted as he threw down his xbox 360 controller. " You're always making me do stuff I don't want to do....." Vincent continued to whine about the current situation, but gave up when he realized that he wasn't making any progress with dissuading his mom from her already made up mind."Yes, you are going to Camp Yellow Mountain and that is final!" Mrs. Valentine snapped back at her son, "You are not going to sit here on your ass all summer and play games. You should be outside trying to make friends for Pete's sake. Anyway when was the last time you ever made a friend.""Mom, I told you that the four friends I have now are all i need. I'm perfectly happy the way my social life is developing right now." Vincent was starting to get upset that his mom was again reminding him that he only had few friends and that his relationship with those friends was being strained to the limit by Vincent's habit of doing everything on his own.Ever since Vincent's father died when he was eight, he always kept to himself. He never hung out with anyone new or even hung out with his current friends except in special occasions and times when he was feeling unnaturally cheerful which usually only happened after Vincent drank a few cans of Mountain Dew. However, Vincent stopped drinking Mountain Dew, much to the disappointment of his friends, after he found out they were abusing his Archille's heel. "When are you going to learn?" Mrs. Valentine was starting to become extremely disappointed with her son's repeated ignorance. "Your social life is not developing, it's actually degrading. You don't even hang out with your friends anymore and I'm worried this is still because of your father's death. I'm sending you to this camp hoping that you might make new friends and have another chance at becoming a normal boy.""I am normal, I'm not a boy, and since your so persistent on me going to this camp, I better get going because the camp bus will be getting here in thirteen minutes." Vincent grabbed his bag and left before his mother could say anymore on the subject. He was unhappy with what his mother was doing this to him, but the other half of him longed for companionship. Perhaps this camp could provide the friendships he lacked. Vincent slowly walked down the stairs of his apartment until he reached the bottom. Glancing at his watch he realized just how little time he had to make to Red River Station before the bus left. Vincent started to run, not even stopping to apologize to the many people of New Haven, California, that he was bumping into during his mad rush to the bus station. Vincent, now at this time, was age sixteen. He had just turned sixteen about two months ago which was also the last time he saw his four friends before summer break started. Currently, Vincent was wearing his favorite pair of jeans that had a few holes in them and some paint stains but were surprisingly comfortable. Sora, one of his friends, had got them for him at his last birthday party. Also, Vincent was wearing a tight black T-shirt that showed of his abs and a burgundy, light jacket with the zipper down cause of the heat. Although Vincent was anti-social, he was never down enough to miss out on a chance to show off his muscular structure. Vincent was also what some people might say "tall, dark, and handsome" and by that he had jet black hair, was dashingly handsome, and was dark in the sense that he stayed in the shadows of his room for most of the day. His green eyes went well with his black hair and made him look even more gorgeous than he already was.....not that he cared for any of the stupid girls that followed him around hoping for something to happen.Snapping out of his day-dream, Vincent realized that he had only just made it to Red River Station and the bus was going to leave in thirty seconds. Glancing around desperately, he tried to find terminal 38, which was the place his bus was located at. Sighting it, Vincent put on a burst of speed as he ran for the bus. He was half-way there when he saw that the bus was already loaded and could leave at any second. Suddenly, Vincent's steps started to slow, realizing there was almost no way he could make it. He didn't really care if he missed the bus to the stupid camp anyway because he didn't want to go, but then, he had another thought that if he missed the bus then his Mom would give him hell thinking he did it on purpose. Heart pumping, he pushed on and leaped onto the bus just as the driver was closing the doors."Whoa!!! Cut that one a little close sonny. Next time give me a little warning before you jump on her like that, almost gave me a heart attack, you did." The startled bus driver wheezed at Vincent as he clutched his chest."Sorry, sir. It won't happen again, I promise." Replied Vincent as he realized how old the bus driver really was. He must have been in his sixties and that age a heart attack might have been possible from the surprise leap onto the bus."It's alright sonny. Now take your seat so I can get this bus moving." Stated the bus driver flatly as he started to get annoyed at the teen.Vincent nodded one last time before making his way to the back of the bus in search for an open seat. Upon reaching the back he was met with a shocking surprise of his own. "Sora, Zack, Brian, Michelle. What are you doing here?"
