Matt was lying at home, plucking idly at the strings on his guitar, trying to compose some sort of song when his father opened the door.

"Matt? Phone for you."

Matt sighed and put down the guitar, hoping that it was one of the band members with something interesting to say.

"Hello?"

"Matt? It's me, Jun."

"Jun?" Matt said. She sounded like she'd been crying.

"Oh Matt I need your help!" Jun sobbed, her voice sounding panicked "Davis has gone!"

"Gone? Gone where?" Matt demanded, a flash of panic shooting through him. Surely Davis wouldn't have...?

"I don't know! He's just gone!" Jun wailed "He said he was going down to the park and would be back in an hour! But he's not! And Dad checked the park but he wasn't there! He's vanished!"

"How long's he been gone?" Matt demanded.

"Over three hours!" Jun cried "He promised he'd be back in an hour, he promised!"

"Oh no," Matt said "Oh no."

He couldn't believe it. Why would Davis go back? He'd promised Matt that he wouldn't go near Ken. He'd promised him!

But something had to be wrong. Davis would never make such a certain time limit without knowing what Ken was going to do. And if he'd broken the time limit....

"Matt, you have to help me!" Jun sobbed "Mum and Dad keep asking and I don't know what to say!"

"I'll find him," Matt said instantly "I'm going to find him now okay? It's going to be okay Jun, just keep your parents calm."

He hung up, then phoned TK, trying not to panic. Chances were that Davis was fine. He just didn't want to risk him not being. That was all.

"TK," he said "Send an E-mail to all the Digidestined and get them to the school. Now. I'll meet you there."

"What? Matt, what's going on?"

"I'll explain there. Hurry!"

* * * *

The younger Digidestined crowded around Matt anxiously, waiting for him to explain.

"We'd better wait for Davis," Iori said.

"No," Matt said "We're looking for Davis. He's been captured by the Digimon Emperor."

"What?!"

"How do you know?"

"Jun phoned me, told me Davis had gone missing," Matt explained "Recently, Davis came to me and suggested going to see Ken, to talk to him, try and reclaim him. I talking him out of it, saying that I didn't think it was a good idea but he still looked doubtful. That must be where he's gone."

"Then we'd better go after him!" TK said.

Matt felt a flash of relief. They'd believed his story. He made it up while running there and he wasn't sure how good it was. But it was the only story he'd had so...

"Liar," Kari said quietly.

Of course maybe they hadn't.

"What?" Matt said.

Kari was staring at him, her face twisted in a frown.

"That doesn't ring true," she said "It's not Davis. You might have had that idea when you were younger, or TK might have it, or Iori maybe. But that's not a Davis idea."

"Kari...." Matt began, without a clue of what he was going to say. She cut him off.

"Either you put that idea in Davis's head which would be so unlike you it's untrue," she said coldly "Or there's something you aren't telling us that you know."

Matt looked at the ring of accusing faces and lost his temper.

"Oh for God's Sake!" he yelled "Do you want to see Davis again or not?"

The accusing expressions turned into those of shock.

"I can't tell you how I know," Matt said "Or what I know. But I know that Davis is with the Digimon Emperor and that if we don't go after him, Davis could die."

There was a pause. Then Kari nodded.

"Come on," she said.

* * * *

"One question," TK said "How do we find the Digimon Emperor's base? We've never had any luck before!"

"We'll just have to look," Matt said grimly "And hope."

Matt wasn't sure how long they wandered for until the Digimon suddenly popped up in front of them.

"I'm Kcirtmon!" it cheeped "I heard you were looking for the Digimon Emperor's base!"

"Do you know where it is?" Matt asked.

"Yup! Sure do!" Kcirtmon cheeped "Follow me!"

They rushed after the Digimon, not seeing the small Black Ring on it's arm.

* * * *

"Where do we start looking?" Yolei whispered.

"The cells?" TK suggested.

Their guide had left them when they'd got inside the base. They were standing around in the opening, trying to decide where to go. Matt ignored the other's jabbering. He was trying to work out where the bedroom would be.

"Come on," he said "Let's go this way."

"But the cells are that way!" Yolei said.

"We're not looking for the cells," Matt said.

They moved silently along the corridors, listening uncertainly. Matt was afraid of what they might find and the others were just scared, uncertain.

"Listen!" TK whispered suddenly.

They all froze, listening. Somewhere nearby was the soft sound of somebody crying.

"Davis," Matt whispered. Breaking into a run, he left the others behind, desperately following the sound.

"Davis!"

Opening the door, he found himself looking into a sumptuous bedroom with a huge bed in the middle. Davis was lying on it, completely naked, hunched into a tiny ball and crying heart-brokenly. His wrists were tied up to the bed on a longish rope, meaning he could move around quite easily, but not very far. He had his back to Matt and Matt could see the drying blood from the whip marks that lined his back from shoulders to buttocks.

"Matt have you....oh God!"

The others had crowded round him and were all staring. Davis twisted round at the sound of their voices.

"Matt!" he croaked "Oh Matt...thank God you came!"

Matt reacted quickly.

"Yolei, Kari - turn away. Watch for the Emperor. Iori - find Davis's clothes. TK - help me.

He scrambled onto the bed, examining the rope. It looked quite a tricky knot to undo.

"TK can you do it?"

TK nodded and began picking at the rope. Matt struggled to soothe Davis who was still crying.

"He wouldn't stop!" he wailed "He wouldn't stop, even when I asked him to! He just wouldn't stop!"

"Shhhhh Davis," Matt whispered "Shhhhh now. It's all right, it's all right now. We're here, nobody's going to hurt you...."

"Why?" Davis cried "Why? Why'd he do this to me?"

"Rope free!" TK said.

"Iori! Clothes!"

Iori handled them over. He was staring at Davis in utter shock and horror. Matt quickly helped Davis dressed, ignoring Davis's whimpers as the clothes touched his back. Then he scooped Davis up in his arms. Davis clutched at him, helping Matt keep him up. Davis was quite heavy.

"Come on," he said "We've got to go. Now."

"Matt, what's...?"

"Now is NOT the time!" Matt snapped "Come on!"

They ran to the nearest Digiport and fell through, not realising that Ken was watching them silently from his throne room, cold tears on his cheeks.

* * * *

"Davis baby, where've you been?"

"Mummy!" Davis cried. Throwing himself into his mothers arms, he clutched at her, sobbing.

"Davis, what's wrong?"

Davis just shook his head, pressing his face into his mother's shoulder.

"Mummy, I was so afraid!"

Jun looked at Matt. Matt just shook his head.

"I'll come over tomorrow," he muttered "Just....look after him. Please."

Jun nodded. Matt left. Jun looked at her little brother. Her parents were looking panicked and confused.

"Davis," Jun said "Come on Davis, let's get you to bed. You have a nice rest and then you'll feel better."

Davis didn't even make a crack about her 'nice' attitude which really told Jun that something bad had happened. She made a move to help him undress but he whimpered and cowered away from her. She eventually just took off his shoes and tucked him in.

"Do you want something to eat?"

Davis shook his head. Jun smiled at him nervously.

"Davis, what should I tell Mum and Dad?"

Davis shook his head again. Jun sighed and turned to go away.

"Junny, don't go away."

Junny. It had been his baby name for her. He hadn't called her that for years. Jun nodded.

"We'll camp out!" she said "Remember I used to do that when there were thunderstorms? I'll sleep on your floor and we can tell ghost stories?"

Davis nodded uncertainly. Jun fetched herself a pillow and blanket, hoping that her little brother would go to sleep soon and be okay.

But Davis was lying awake long after Jun was asleep and snoring. He didn't snore anymore. DemiVeemon had told him. After Ken had started giving him electric shocks, he'd stopped...

Davis gave a tiny whimper.

"Davis?"

Davis had forgotten DemiVeemon was there.

"Davis, what happened?"

Davis shook his head helplessly. What could he tell his faithful Digimon friend?

"I'll explain tomorrow," he mumbled eventually.

His back was stinging where Ken had laid into him. His wrists were aching from rope burn. His body ached on the inside from being fucked. But this time, Davis got no pleasure from it. All he felt was sick. Sick and violated.

'Why? Why'd he hurt me? I asked him to stop, I didn't want it. Why'd he drug me and not stop?'

Davis pressed down in his bed, struggling with the tears threatening to begin to flow. Why was he feeling so bad? He always enjoyed it before.

But this was different. He hadn't wanted it and Ken wouldn't stop.

'But why wouldn't he stop? I asked him to stop and he wouldn't. I trusted him and he wouldn't stop!'

Drawing the blankets up, Davis dozed off into a fitful sleep.

* * * *

"We're here to see Davis," Matt said.

TK looked at Mrs Motomiya. She looked tired, worried and upset. She gave them a very weak smile and let them all come in.

Davis was in his bedroom. He was sitting hunched up on a chair with his back to the door.

"Hey Davis," TK said.

"Hey," Davis said, his voice flat.

"Are you feeling any better?" Kari asked.

"Fine."

It was obviously a lie. TK could see that the last thing Davis was was fine.

"What did he do to you?" Yolei whispered.

"Isn't it obvious?" Matt snapped.

"No," Iori spoke up quietly "At least it would have been. Except for one thing."

TK blinked. Iori hadn't spoken all the way there. He'd obviously been thinking and had come up with something.

"What?" he asked.

"Some of the marks were old," Iori said softly "Davis had new, bleeding ones. But some of the marks were old. Scabbed. Scarred."

Silence.

"And there were other marks," TK said slowly "On your wrists and ankles and the rest of you."

Davis gave a soft moan.

"I'm sorry."

It came out as a whimper.

"What's been going on?" Kari asked.

Davis pressed his face into his knees. His voice came out muffled but distinct.

"I...I was going to Ken....a lot. For some months now. I wanted...I....oh God."

He ran his hands through his hair.

"I like pain," he blurted "I....I used to fantasise about being whipped, tortured, beaten...it was like a drug. The more I fantasised, the more I wanted. And Ken fascinated me. He was brutal, he was violent, he was ruthless....but there was something kind of beautiful about him too. Not really beautiful, more....oh, I can't explain. But I knew he'd do those things to me if I ever asked and that was the important thing."

"And you asked?" TK whispered.

He heard Davis swallow.

"I was in the Digiworld alone," he said "I fell asleep and he captured me. I just....I was hurting inside, needed something, needed pain. So I asked him. And he agreed."

"You mean you asked him to do those...things to you?" Iori said.

"Yes," Davis said "I asked him. And when he was finished, I went home. But I came back again. And again. And again."

"But WHY?" Iori exploded.

Davis flinched like Iori had hit him.

"I don't know," he whispered "I don't know. I needed the pain. I wanted to pain. It felt good. It was too good to give up. And Ken gave me what I wanted. He didn't mind. But then...then Matt found out and made me promise to stop."

"And you broke your promise?" Matt asked flatly.

"No!" Davis cried, turning round "No Matt you have to believe me! I didn't mean to! But...but I thought it was so unfair, not telling Ken that we were over. It just didn't seem right to leave him hanging! I only went to tell him!"

"But you ended up....doing that stuff?" Iori said.

"He begged me to stay," Davis whispered "He just wanted me to sit with him. That was all. Just sit. I felt sorry for him, he looked so upset, so lonely. He gave me something to drink....he must have put something in it. I passed out. When I woke up, he'd tied me to the bed. And then he...."

His voice cracked. He shuddered.

"I begged him to stop!" he wailed "I begged him to but he wouldn't! He wouldn't stop! He wouldn't listen to me! He....he....I..."

Matt went over and pulled Davis into his arms.

"Stop," he whispered "It's all right. Just stop. Shhhhh, Davis, shhhhh. It's all right. All right."

"I'm so sorry Matt!" Davis sobbed "I only wanted to explain! I never meant to break my promise!"

"It's all right," Matt repeated, cuddling the boy to him "It's really all right Davis. Everything's fine now."

"No it's not!" Davis cried "I feel dirty Matt! Everything feels all wrong inside, like someone's taken me and rearranged me! It wasn't supposed to be like this! It wasn't supposed to feel this way!"

Matt just hugged him, wishing he could take the pain away and knowing that nothing he said or did would make any difference to Davis. He looked at the other Digidestined who was still standing at the door. Yolei was looking shocked, Kari was looking upset, TK was looking confused and Iori was just looking blank. But there was a hardness in his eyes that Matt didn't like at all.

"You were right Matt."

Startled, he looked down at Davis. Davis looked back up, eyelashes sparkling with tears.

"You were right," he repeated "You said that if I was upset, Ken wouldn't care enough to stop and check if I was okay. And he didn't. You were right."

For some reason, that didn't make Matt feel happy at all. He held Davis tightly to him, avoiding the stripes on his back. Davis pressed his face into Matt's shoulder, trying to draw comfort from Matt's strength.

"I didn't want it to happen," he whispered.

"But why did you go in the first place?" Iori demanded. He sounded angry. Matt flashed him a warning look but Iori ignored it completely.

"I told you!" Davis cried "I explained! I only wanted..."

"Him to hurt you?"

"Well, yes," Davis said.

Iori just stared at him. He looked disgusted Matt suddenly saw, completely disgusted.

"Iori..." he began, trying to stop the boy from saying whatever he was going to say. Iori ignored him.

"I think it's disgusting!" he snapped "Completely disgusting!"

"What?" Davis said timidly.

"What were you expecting?" Iori demanded "You'd been letting him hurt you and....and have sex with you for ages! What were you expecting, him to stop when you cried out in pain? He probably thought you wanted it!"

"Iori, I...." Davis began, then stopped. He didn't know what to say "I..."

"Iori, that's not fair!" Yolei said, sounding angry "If Davis didn't want it, Ken should have realised that. No matter how many times you've done it before or however much they may think you've led them on, you still have every right to say no!"

"Davis was letting Ken hurt him!" Iori snapped "He probably thought Davis would see it as the ultimate thrill!"

Davis gave a miserable whimper and pressed his face back into Matt's shoulder. Matt remembered the fantasies he'd read and knew why.

"Iori, that's enough!" he snapped "No matter what the circumstances, Ken had no right to do what he did."

Iori scowled. Yolei gave him a dirty look and walked over to Davis, patting his hand gently.

"Don't worry Davis," she said "We'll get Ken for you. You needn't worry about that."

Davis said nothing.

Did he want Yolei to 'get Ken' as she'd put it, he wondered later after they'd all left. Did he want them to get Ken and beat him to pulp?

Iori's angry words came back to him 'He probably thought you'd see it as the ultimate thrill!'

'Maybe it was all my fault...'

The thought popped unbidden into his head. Maybe it had all been his fault. Davis had always been begging Ken to stop, it had been one of the things that Ken had enjoyed, that they both had enjoyed. How was Ken to know the difference when Davis really did want Ken to stop?

'But I told him it was over. And he drugged me and tied me up while I was sleeping!'

'But maybe he meant to give me a treat. After all, I enjoyed stuff like that. And...and I always fantasised about being raped before....'

Davis felt tears building up in his eyes. Why him? Why had Ken done this? Why had this had to happen to him?

"Ken, why?" he whispered "Why?"

He buried himself under the blankets, ignoring the twitches of pain going through his still lacerated back.

The stings of betrayal in his mind were far worse.

* * * *

The next day, the Digidestined, bar Davis, met up at Tai's house. Matt thought that they ought to explain it to all the Digidestined as they'd all find out anyway.

He explained everything he knew, then waited for the outbursts that he knew he could expect.

"What?" Joe yelped "But that's....good grief! Does Davis have any idea the danger he was in? He could have got all sorts of diseases! Any number of STD's....plus there's blood poisoning, scarring...."

"Thanks Joe," Matt said "We all wanted to hear that happy little list!"

Joe fell silent, his face filled with concern.

"I don't understand why Davis would want anything like that," Sora said.

"Neither do I," Tai said, his voice filled with disgust "Davis was having sex with Ken? Another boy?"

"Oh yes Tai, that's the thing to focus on!" Yolei said "We ought to get Ken and murder him! How dare he have sex with anyone who hadn't consented?"

"But how do we know Davis hadn't consented?" Iori demanded "From what Davis told us, it sounds to me like it was the same thing as he'd had before anyway!"

"Maybe so but that doesn't make it right!" Yolei snapped "If Davis didn't want it, then Ken didn't have the right to do it!"

"But how do you know he didn't consent?" Tai asked coolly.

"You haven't seen him," Matt said quietly "You don't know how upset he is."

"Why should he be?" Iori said "It was nothing he hadn't had before!"

"But he didn't want it!" Matt shouted, beginning to lose his temper "He didn't consent! That's like saying that a woman who's not a virgin shouldn't care if she gets raped because she's done it before!"

"How do you know he was raped?" Tai repeated, his voice getting colder.

"Because I've seen him! And I believe him!" Matt said "Tai, what the hell is wrong with you? I know you don't like gays..."

"Too right I don't!" Tai snapped "Especially when they do this sort of thing! It's disgusting!"

"Not all gay people do this sort of thing," Matt said, his own voice going icy "It's just as popular among straight people as gay people. And it's nothing to do with sexuality. It's to do with enjoying pain and wanting to be dominated."

"And it's disgusting!"

"I agree with Tai," Iori said "Davis actually going to Ken to be beaten is just...horrible. Horrible."

"Look," Matt said "Don't you think we ought to be discussing how to help Davis through this, rather than saying how disgusting it all is?"

"I don't want to go near him!" Tai snapped.

"Tai, you are asking for a punch in the nose!" Matt hissed "Davis hasn't changed!"

"He was going for sex and beating!" Tai snarled "And you can still look at him without feeling sick?"

"You little..."

"Matt! Tai!" Sora shouted "Don't you two DARE start fighting! That's the last thing we need!"

"Well what do you think of this?" Tai demanded, glaring at her "What do you think of this?"

"I don't know," Sora said "I feel sorry for Davis and I don't think that he wanted to be raped - no one wants to be raped - but I don't understand why he wanted the pain."

"I don't understand that either," TK said sadly "But we have to help him. He's not done anything wrong. Not really."

"Not done anything wrong?" Tai demanded "How can you say that? He was getting whipped and having sex with another guy! What do you call wrong?"

TK hung his head.

"Well I don't like the idea of being beaten," he mumbled "But I don't see anything wrong with having sex with a guy."

Tai gave him a slightly disgusted look and turned away to look at Izzy.

"What about you Izzy?" he demanded "What do you think of this?"

"I don't think anything," Izzy said flatly "I'm remaining neutral."

"Neutral!" Tai spluttered.

"Tai, will you stop being such a jerk?" Matt snapped "For goodness sake, there's nothing wrong with being gay!"

"It's disgusting!"

Matt took a swing at him. Tai promptly threw himself at him.

"Stop it!" Kari shouted "Stop it right now!"

Joe wrenched the two of them apart. Matt and Tai glowered at each other.

"You're both behaving like idiots!" Kari said angrily.

"He's the one who's acting like a moron!" yelled Tai.

"Davis is not a freak!" Matt shouted "He's upset and disturbed maybe. But he's not a freak."

"He might not even be gay," Kari said softly "He just wanted to be....to be hurt. And he thought Ken was the only person who'd give him that."

Matt wisely didn't mention that he'd read Davis's diary and was in no doubt that Davis was gay.

"Does it matter?" Tai snapped "Davis let a guy whip him. Even if he isn't a faggot, he's still got something seriously wrong with him!"

"And there's something seriously wrong with you because you're obviously a prejudiced bastard!" Matt yelled.

"Don't you two dare start again!" Kari snapped.

Tai sat on the bed and scowled. There was an awkward pause.

"I'm going home," Iori said abruptly.

"But we haven't decided what to do about Davis!" TK protested.

"I don't care," Iori said bitterly "Davis has made his own bed. He can lie in it. What was he expecting Ken to do to him? He wanted pain. Now he has it. As far as I'm concerned, I'd sooner never speak to him again!"

He walked out of the room. The silence fell again, heavy and black. Matt broke it by groaning.

"Joe, will you try to talk some sense into him?" he asked "He likes you."

Joe nodded.

"I can try," he said.

"And you won't back out because you're annoyed at Davis?"

Joe shook his head.

"Davis has punished himself," he said "I just hope he doesn't get sick after all this."

Matt nodded. The idea of sickness hadn't occurred to him until Joe had bought it up. Now it was bothering him. What if Davis did get sick?

"Should I take him to hospital?" he wondered out loud.

"Not unless you want a lot of awkward questions!" Joe said "I'll check him if you want but I wouldn't advise trying to get him to hospital!"

Matt sighed and ran his hands through his hair.

"I just hope he's okay," he muttered.

The others nodded. Yolei was still looking murderous.

"I think we should still go and murder Ken," she said "How dare he force Davis into anything?"

"You'd better ask Davis about it when he feels better," Matt said bluntly "Don't do anything until you've talked to Davis."

Yolei nodded but she still looked like she was planning disasters that could befall Ken. Matt sighed.

"I've got to go," he said "I want to see Davis. I'll see you guys later."

The meeting broke up. Matt walked slowly to the Motomiya house, thinking. He could see trouble ahead. Tai was obviously going to be a complete bastard over all of it although Matt hadn't really expected anything more of him. Tai had always been homophobic, it was something that Matt had realised before they'd even gone to the Digital World the first time and he didn't seem to have ever grown out of it. It was a good thing that he didn't know about some of the things that Matt got up to with the band. Everyone knew the rumours about the band but Tai choose to deal with it by pretending that it wasn't true. Matt just let him and had threatened the band with death if they ever talked about being with guys in front of Tai. He valued Tai's friendship too much to lose it over casual sex.

Of course, Davis had probably lost Tai's friendship now, something that would hurt him deeply. Davis had always idolised Tai, it was something that everyone had always known. If Tai now hated him then poor Davis was going to be greatly upset.

Matt sighed and kicked a can on the floor along the road. Damn Ken! He was beginning to support Yolei's opinion on going and killing Ken. Why had he done this? Davis had trusted him!

Matt sighed. It was obvious why Ken had done it. Because Ken was a sick, twisted person who really needed help but would probably never get it. At least, not on the scale he needed it on.

He arrived at the Motomiya house and found Davis sitting in his room again.

"Hey Davis."

"Hey Matt," Davis said dully.

"How are you feeling?"

"Fine."

Matt sighed.

"You don't have to lie to me," he said.

"I'm not lying. I'm fine."

Matt sighed. He sat down on the bed and waited for Davis to say something. There was a long silence.

"Did...did you tell them all?" Davis asked in a whisper.

"Yes," Matt said.

"Do they all hate me?"

"No," Matt said "They don't hate you."

Davis shook his head. Matt knew that he didn't believe him.

"Davis, they don't hate you," he repeated "They don't understand. That's all."

"Tai...Tai doesn't like gay people does he?" Davis said.

"Not really," Matt said.

"Does he really hate me?"

"No," Matt lied fluently.

Davis shuddered.

"What did they all say?"

"They were all a bit shocked," Matt said, picking his words carefully "I don't know if they really understood. Izzy didn't really say anything. I think he decided not to take sides. Joe was worried that you might get sick from the open wounds or something. He's planning on checking you out I think. Sora was a bit confused."

"And Tai?"

"Tai was...a little upset," Matt said "I don't think he really approves of....kinky stuff."

"He's really mad isn't he?"

"Not mad!" Matt said "Just...a bit disapproving."

It was an outrageous understatement but Matt didn't think that Davis needed to hear about Tai's disgust and anger.

"Iori was angry," Davis said softly "He said....he said that it was all my fault. That Ken thought I wanted it."

"No!" Matt said "Iori doesn't understand. He's too young. It wasn't your fault Davis."

"I shouldn't have gone back."

"No," Matt said "But you meant well. You didn't know that Ken would do that."

"I should have just left. I shouldn't have stayed when he asked me to," Davis said "He must have thought....thought that I was accepting really, only I didn't want to say so. Maybe he thought it was a game. Maybe he thought.....thought I wanted something new..."

"No!" Matt said "He drugged you! Why would he drug you?"

"A game," Davis suggested dully "Maybe he thought it was a game. We played games like that....before."

"Did he ever drug you before?"

"No," Davis said "But does that make a difference?"

"Yes!" Matt said "Davis, this wasn't your fault! You did not ask to raped!"

Davis shrugged.

"It wasn't really rape thought was it?" he asked sadly "Apart from drugging me, Ken didn't do anything that I hadn't consented to at other times. It wasn't really rape."

"Of course it was!" Matt snapped "If you didn't consent that time, then it was rape! Davis, snap out of this!"

Davis gave a soft sob. Matt stared at him with distress, wishing he knew how to help Davis.

"I stopped fighting," Davis said "After he whipped me....I stopped fighting. I let him do that to me."

"You didn't let him!" Matt said "You were scared! Davis, please, this isn't your fault!"

"Yes it is," Davis said "It's all my fault. I shouldn't have gone back! I should never have gone in the first place! It's all my fault!"

He started to cry in earnest. Matt pulled him close, trying to reassure Davis and make him feel better. Davis clutched at him.

"Matt, I'm sorry!"

"You don't have anything to be sorry for!" Matt said "Davis, please believe me. You haven't done anything wrong!"

Davis looked at him with tear-dashed eyes and Matt knew that Davis didn't believe him. He knew it would be easier if the others supported him too.

It was just a shame that they didn't seem to believe that Davis hadn't done anything wrong.

* * * *

Kari peered into Tai's room. Tai was lying on his bed, reading a magazine.

"Tai?"

"Yes Kari?"

Kari came in and closed the door.

"It's about Davis," she began.

"I don't want to talk about him."

"But Tai..."

"No."

Kari stared at him. She was used to her brother being stubborn but not this stubborn.

"Tai, Davis is hurt," she said "Shouldn't we at least try to..."

"No," Tai said "I don't want to go anywhere near him. He's a disgusting little faggot."

"But Tai, he's our friend..."

"No one like that is a friend of mine!" Tai spat.

Kari thought about some of the things the gossips said about Matt and his band and wondered. Wisely, she didn't bring it up.

"Davis was your friend," she said "Tai, Davis is sick...."

"Too right he is! Sick in the head!"

"Tai, he was raped!" Kari said doggedly sticking to her guns "Can't you put this aside and try to support him? He must be feeling terrible!"

"I don't care," Tai said "I don't care about Davis. As far as I'm concerned, I've never met him."

"But Tai, that's horrible!" Kari cried "Davis was..."

"Davis got what he deserved," Tai said coldly "You really believe him when he said he was raped? He probably chose for that to happen to him and when you lot found him, made that up so you'd have sympathy. And even if he didn't, what was he expecting to happen after fucking the Digimon Emperor? Flowers and chocolates?"

Kari sighed and shrugged. She didn't have an argument. She couldn't help wondering if Tai was right. Maybe Davis had been leading the Digimon Emperor on or had pretty much consented. After all, he'd admitted that he enjoyed the pain...

Kari went back to her own room, deep in thought.

Joe arrived at the Motomiya house the next day with Matt.

"Hey Davis," he said "I've come to examine you."

"E-examine me?" Davis stammered "What do you mean?"

"I don't want anything getting infected," Joe explained "The questions you'll get asked will be difficult to cope with if you have to go to your doctor or the hospital. I just want to check you're okay."

Davis nodded uncertainly. He didn't move.

"You'll have to take your shirt off," Joe said gently.

Davis's face paled.

"No," he said "No, stay away! Stay away!"

"Davis, calm down!" Matt said "It's okay. Joe's not going to hurt you..."

Davis just shook his head. Joe looked questioningly at Matt.

"I'll handle him," Matt muttered "Give me a sec."

Joe watched as Matt talked to Davis gently, stroking his hands in a soothing manner. Davis slowly relaxed and let Matt help him remove his shirt. When Matt tried to draw away, Davis clung on. Joe noticed all of this and couldn't help frowning but stored the knowledge up in his mind to think about later and began to examine Davis's marks.

"I'm worried about this one," he said at last "It looks a bit....icky."

Matt leaned over Davis's shoulder to see. The mark was deep-set and looked sore. Joe ran a finger along it and Davis whimpered.

"Matt, go and get something to clean it up with," Joe said "It might not be too late to stop it getting infected. Davis, are there any other marks I should see?"

"No," Davis said "My wrists and ankles are fine."

Joe sighed. He carefully cleaned Davis's back, ignoring Davis's squeaks of pain. When Davis tried to move away, Matt caught hold of him and held him still, whispering comforting words and stroking his hair lightly. Joe ignored this, carefully finishing his job.

"Keep an eye on that," he warned Davis "We don't want it getting infected."

"No," Davis agreed "Thanks Joe."

He gave Joe a small smile.

"I'm sorry," he added in a whisper.

"What for?" Joe asked flatly.

Matt gave him a grateful smile. Joe smiled back.

"I'll see you soon Davis," he said "When are you going back to school?"

Davis groaned at the idea.

"I don't know."

"Well, don't rush yourself," Joe said "See you soon. Matt, you coming?"

"I'll stay with Davis a little longer," Matt said.

Joe nodded. Walking home, he began to wonder about Matt and Davis's relationship. A question which everyone had neglected popped into his mind; how had Matt known about Davis's 'relationship' with the Digimon Emperor? Surely Davis hadn't told him? And what was the relationship between those two anyway? Davis seemed to trust Matt more than he did anyone else and Matt had stuck up for Davis vehemently when everyone else had been kicking off or being confused. Were they....?

Joe shook his head. That was silly. Davis was TK's age and was hurting. Matt would know better than to get in a relationship with someone who was as disturbed and mixed up as Davis was at that point.

But just in case, he'd keep an eye on those two. Just in case.

* * * *

Davis flipped stations on his radio. He didn't want to listen to anything really. He just wanted some noise.

He was about to give it up as a lost cause when he heard a familiar name and stopped to listen.

"...and the young genius, Ken Ichijouji has returned home after being missing some months. It is not yet known where he went but his family are glad to have him home safe and well."

Davis switched the radio off. So Ken had gone home. Why? Why had he done that? Was he intending to come after Davis in the real world now?

No, he was being silly. Ken wouldn't dare. He wouldn't.

Davis huddled up. Although he felt fear, he felt no anger at the mention of Ken's name. What had happened wasn't Ken's fault. It was his. Ken couldn't possibly have known the difference between Davis's acceptance and Davis's refusal. It was all Davis's fault. If he wasn't so sick and twisted...

Davis shivered, remembering Joe carefully examining his back, remembering the small spats of pain. Remembering the sudden tingle that had gone through him.

The tingle of longing.

Davis shuddered. Why? Why was it still there? Why did he still long to be hurt, want someone to make his body hurt? He still felt sick when he thought of Ken raping him, still hated the idea of having sex but pain...that was a way of getting pleasure.

Davis shook his head. This was wrong. Everyone thought it was wrong and he would resist it. It wasn't like there was anyone to do that to him anyway. He'd never be able to use Ken again even if he'd wanted to and Matt would have forgotten all about his promise now.

Davis drew himself up into a ball on his bed and pushed away thoughts of pain and pleasure, just concentrated on existing. It was easier that way.

* * * *

A week passed. With the exceptions of Tai and Iori, all the Digidestined came to visit Davis, even if they didn't stay long. Davis wasn't sure if it he appreciated it or not. Sora and Kari acted strange and uncomfortable, obviously not sure how to act or how they felt. Izzy acted like he normally did but Davis wasn't sure how much he liked that anyway. Joe acted slightly awkward but he struggled to keep a normal face up and checked Davis's wounds. Yolei talked a lot about murdering Ken. Davis had made her promise not to go and find Ken to murder him. He'd let Yolei believe that he wanted to help but in reality, he didn't want Ken hurt. When TK came, TK acted as normal as possible but there was something there which Davis didn't understand, as though TK was on the edge of saying something that Davis wouldn't like. The only person Davis felt really comfortable around was Matt. Matt told him stupid stories about the band to cheer him up or just sat with him in silence, not feeling awkward at all. Matt treated him like a normal human being. The others all treated him like he was sick.

Maybe he was sick.

Since the beginning of the tingle when Joe had examined his back, Davis couldn't stop thinking about the pain, remembering the pain. If he pushed the terror and revulsion of the rape night away and remembered the times before it, the good times where he'd enjoyed it, got pleasure out of it. And now he wanted, more than anything, to experience it again. Davis hated feeling that way, loathed it, sure that it was wrong, especially so soon after being violated like that. But he couldn't help it. He did want it, more than anything. Wanted to be hurt, wanted to be touched....

Wanted to be wanted.

Davis pressed his face into a pillow that had soaked up too many tears recently and began to cry again, not even really knowing why, just knowing that he wanted someone to make it all better for him, to remove the aching pain deep inside.

* * * *

After another week, Matt decided that it was time to broach the subject of school more seriously with Davis. He knew that Davis's parents were worrying and people and school were beginning to talk, wondering why Davis had been away so long.

Davis was sitting on his bed when Matt came in. He was reading something which he hid as soon as Matt walked into the room but Matt guessed what it was.

"Hey Davis," he said, making no comment "How're you?"

"Fine," Davis said "I'm feeling better."

Matt smiled at him.

"Well enough for school?"

"I'll never feel well enough for that."

It was only half a joke. Matt sat down next to him.

"Davis," he said "You have to go back to school you know."

"But I don't want to."

"I know that," Matt said "But people are beginning to wonder now. You've always been such a healthy person and now you're missing all this school. Anyway, nobody knows what happened to you. They never will."

"I know that," Davis muttered "But I...I just don't want to."

"Why?" Matt asked.

Davis lowered his head.

"Iori hasn't been to see me," he said softly.

"Oh," Matt said "Oh Davis."

"What if he tells people Matt?" Davis asked miserably "He really hates me. I know he does. And Tai hates me too! He thinks I'm a perverted weirdo!"

"No!" Matt said "That's not true..."

"Stop lying to me!" Davis screamed at him "I know what they think, what they all think! That I'm weird, that I'm strange, that I'm freaky! They all think that, it's just that only Tai and Iori are honest enough to admit it!"

"Davis...." Matt said.

"They do!" Davis sobbed "They all hate me! You all hate me! TK pretends he doesn't but there's always a feeling like he wants to say something that he doesn't dare say! Kari hates me! She just hides it well! Izzy's just Izzy, he doesn't care about anyone! Everyone hates me!"

"Stop it!" Matt ordered "Davis, stop it! I don't hate you! You're my friend, I couldn't never hate you!"

By this time Davis had melted into violent, helpless sobs. Matt reached out for him and tried to comfort him, stroking his hair and whispering comforts in his ears. Eventually Davis sobbed himself out and went limp and passive in Matt's arms. Matt stroked his back gently.

"Matt?" Davis whispered.

"Yes?"

"Can you....can you do a back massage?"

"Sort of," Matt said uncertainly "Why?"

"Will you give me one?"

"I don't know," Matt said "I'm not very good and your back has been mutilated enough recently."

"Please? It doesn't hurt any more and you won't do me any harm. Please? I'll tell you to stop if it hurts."

"All right," Matt said "Just a small one."

Davis turned his back to him and Matt began a gentle massage, trying to remember everything Akemi (it would be Akemi!) had taught him.

Davis gave a soft squeak.

"Is this okay?" Matt asked anxiously "I'm not hurting you am I?"

"Oh no...please don't stop Matt, that feels nice...."

Matt continued obediently. He was so busy trying to remember everything Akemi had taught him that he missed Davis's soft whimpers of pain for quite a while. It was only went he accidentally added pressure and Davis gave a small gasp that he realised.

"I am hurting you!" he said, drawing back "Davis you should have said, I'm sorry..."

"No!" Davis gasped "Please don't stop Matt, please don't."

Matt looked at him.

"Davis?" he said uncertainly.

"Matt please! Please don't stop!"

"But I'm hurting....you...."

Matt's voice slowly trailed off as the implications hit him.

"Davis," he said slowly "Davis, I really don't think...."

Davis twisted round and kissed him. It was a begging, desperate kiss and Matt somehow couldn't make himself push Davis off.

"Matt, please!" Davis whispered, drawing back "Please! I'll do anything but please do this to me! Please! I'll call you Master, I'll be your Slave but please just hurt me..."

"Davis," Matt said "Davis, I don't think this is a good idea!"

"Please Matt!" Davis said "You said you wanted to help me! You said you would! Please help me! Give me this!"

He had pressed himself close to Matt and was clutching at Matt's shoulders, kissing his neck.

"Davis...." Matt said. He couldn't help it, Davis's attentions were making him feel aroused. He could feel Davis's erection pressing against his stomach, begging to be touched. Partially buried desires were surfacing, desires that he'd hidden for a long time and he wanted to take Davis into his arms and kiss him and hold him, keep him safe and warm.

"Please Matt," Davis whispered beggingly, entwining himself closer with Matt "I'll even let you fuck me but please just give me this!"

"Do you want me to fuck you?" Matt whispered.

"No," Davis said "I just want you touch me and hurt me."

"Then I won't fuck you," Matt said "Just tell me what feels good."

Then he caught Davis's mouth with his own in a deep, passionate kiss. Davis moaned and clung to him eagerly, waiting for whatever Matt was going to offer him. Matt pushed him back against the bed, still kissing Davis until Davis was practically suffocating. Just as he thought he'd have to ask Matt to stop, Matt left his mouth and began kissing a trail down Davis's neck, his hands running over him.

"Master..."

The word slipped out almost involuntarily from Davis's mouth. This felt good but he wanted the pain, the reason he did all this was for the pain....

"No," Matt whispered "Not Master Davis. I'm Matt. Don't call me Master."

"Sorry," Davis whispered back "But Matt please...I want you to hurt me Matt..."

"I'm getting to that," Matt whispered "Just be patient little Davis."

He went back to kissing Davis, carefully helping Davis out of his clothes. Davis let him, squirming eagerly in his grip, moaning Matt's name softly. Matt's fingernails suddenly dug deeply into his hips, making him yelp with pain. Matt licked at the crescent-moon marks his nails had left on Davis's skin, then dug his nails in a different place. Matt continued to move lower until finally he was in between Davis's legs. Davis bucked his hips slightly with anticipation and Matt laughed. Digging his nails into Davis's hips again, he ducked his head. Davis bit his finger to stop himself crying out, knowing that his parents weren't that far away, knowing that his parents would kill him if they found out what he was doing. Matt continued to suck until Davis came, gasping Matt's name. Then Matt drew back, looking at the blood welling up from the fingernail marks on Davis's hips.

"Davis," he whispered "Davis, I'm so sorry I didn't mean..."

"It's okay," Davis whispered "Matt, it's okay, that's what I wanted and it felt good, it really did. Please don't feel guilty."

Matt wriggled up and pulled Davis into his arms.

"You're still hard," Davis muttered.

"Don't worry about me."

"Don't be silly," Davis said. He began to kiss Matt, lightly running his hands over Matt's body. Matt couldn't help groaning and Davis giggled. He reached down between Matt's legs and began to stroke him through his jeans.

"You want it fast or slow?"

"Fast!" Matt gasped.

Davis smiled and speeded up. Matt snarled something unintelligible and bucked his hips violently, letting himself come. Then he pulled Davis back into his arms.

"Thank you Matt," Davis whispered "Thank you so much."

Matt nodded, stroking Davis's arm lightly.

"Will you....will you do that again sometime?"

"I don't know," Matt said.

"Please? Please do that again Matt. It felt so good," Davis said pleadingly "Please?"

"All right," Matt said "All right, I will."

Davis smiled. He cuddled closer to Matt.

"Davis," Matt said "We can't tell anyone about this."

"I know," Davis said.

"And will you go back to school?"

"Yes," Davis said "I will, I promise."

Matt smiled.

"You'd better get dressed before someone catches us," he said, biting Davis's ear lightly, then drawing back, pushing Davis's clothes at him. Davis dressed quickly, watching Matt keenly.

"Thank you," he said again softly.

"It's okay."

"Matt?"

"Yes."

Davis swallowed.

"I want you to do something else for me," he said "Something that you might not want to do but I really want to do this."

"What?" Matt asked.

"I want you to take me to see Ken."

"What?" Matt yelped.

"I know he's back from the Digiworld," Davis said "I heard on the radio. I want to speak to him."

"Woah," Matt said "Davis, I really don't think that's such a good idea..."

"Please Matt?" Davis said "Please? I don't want to do anything or let him do anything to me but I want to speak to him. You can be in there if you want but please? Will you take me?"

Matt looked at him for a long moment.

"He might not see you, you know," he said.

"I know," Davis said " But can I see him? Please?"

"I'll take you tomorrow."

* * * *

Mrs Ichijouji looked pale and tired when she answered the door but a small smile crossed her face when they asked.

"I don't know if he'll see you," she said "He hasn't even spoken to us really. What did you say your names were?"

"Davis. Davis and Matt," Davis said.

"Okay dear."

She walked off down the hall. They heard her knock on a door, then her voice saying "Ken honey? Two boys called Davis and Matt to see you?"

They heard a soft mumble in reply then Mrs Ichijouji saying "Oh but he does sweetheart, he's right outside the door now, waiting for you."

Another soft mumble.

"Can I let them in?"

Then she came back.

"Ken says he'll see you," she said. She pointed them through and they walked in. Matt couldn't help thinking that he'd never seen a room so devoid of personality. It was large but there was nothing in it. A computer was in one corner. There were shelves up with complicated looking textbooks. But that was about all. No posters, no school notebooks strewn around, no dirty clothes, no nothing. Ken was sitting beside a door leading out to the terrace. He was staring out over the city. Matt could see his face reflected in the glass, haunted looking.

"Hey Ken," Davis said softly.

"Davis," Ken whispered "Why are you here?"

"I wanted to talk to you," Davis said.

"Why?" Ken asked, his voice still barely more than a whisper "Why would you want to talk to me?"

"Why did you come back?" Davis asked.

Ken said nothing. His shoulders shook slightly and he bowed his head.

"Matt, can you go out?" Davis asked.

"Davis...."

"Please? You can stand right outside the door. I want to talk to Ken alone for a few minutes."

Matt frowned.

"All right," he said "Call if you need me."

He walked out, shutting the door behind him. Davis looked at Ken.

"Ken, look at me."

Ken looked at him. The indigo eyes were sunken, tired, filled with tears.

"Davis," he said "I'm s-so sorry....!"

He began to cry, pressing his face into his hands.

"Ken," Davis said "It's all right Ken. Don't cry. I'm not angry with you, it's all right, it wasn't your fault..."

"But it was!" Ken sobbed "I knew what I was doing to you was wrong and I did it anyway!"

"Why?" Davis asked "Why did you drug me?"

"I couldn't let you go!" Ken sobbed "I just couldn't! I was so lonely....and you were there! I could make a connection with you, I had a connection with you! Oh I knew it wasn't real, not really, I knew it wasn't anything much but I couldn't let you leave me on my own again! I didn't want to hurt you, I just wanted you there! I didn't mean to hurt you, I didn't mean to make you cry!"

"What did you think I'd do?" Davis asked.

"I thought you'd enjoy it!" Ken cried "I thought you'd like it, like you had before! I didn't want you to cry! I just wanted you to be with me, not to leave me on my own!"

"You were lonely?" Davis repeated slowly.

Ken nodded.

"It was so cold and dark, all by myself," he said, his voice quiet, broken "I was talking to myself all the time, just to have someone to speak to. When you came, I thought you were someone to speak to, to be with. It was like you needed me, really needed me. You wanted me, you desired me. It made me feel good about me. When you came, I wasn't alone. I looked forward to you coming, spend ages planning what I do to you. I was obsessed I suppose. I didn't mind you using my name, started calling you Davis instead. I just wanted a connection. That was all."

He hung his head, his hair hiding his face. Davis stared at him.

"I'm sorry," Ken whispered "I knew it was bad. I knew I was doing something so wrong to you. And then you were crying and I really realised what had happened and I realised that I'm a monster! I....I raped you....."

He started to cry again.

"Stop it," Davis said "Ken, stop crying. It wasn't your fault. How could you be expected to know if I wanted it or not when we spent all the time playing games like that?"

"But I did!" Ken choked "I did know! I knew you didn't want me to hurt you but I did it anyway! I'm a m-monster! I hate myself!"

Davis walked over and knelt in front of Ken.

"Ken," he said "You aren't a monster. It's all right. Don't hate yourself. You've realised what you've done was bad. Now you can make a fresh start. You can help the other Digidestined in the Digital World while I'm not there."

"No," Ken said "I can't do that. They'd...they'd hate me."

Davis shook his head.

"We can talk to them about it," he said "Ken, I promise you, I won't let them do anything to you. I understand Ken."

Reaching up, he pulled Ken into his arms. Ken clutched at him in very much the same way that Davis clutched at Matt when he was hurting. Davis cradled Ken, whispering soothing things to him. He heard the door open and close, then Matt was sitting next to them, adding his own support. Davis gave him a grateful smile which Matt returned.

"It's all right Ken," he said "It's all right now."

Matt looked at the two of them. He was very, very much unsure of that.

* * * *

The next week, Davis returned to school. He fended off all questions neatly and avoided the Digidestined, sticking with his friends that weren't. Kari gave him one of those not fake but not real smiles that he'd been getting a lot lately. TK waved, his face brightening up. Yolei grinned too. Davis didn't see Iori. He avoided him studiously. He didn't want to see his disapproving face.

In Maths, TK passed him a note.

'Digiworld tonight?'

Davis swallowed. He and Matt had discussed it. Matt had said that it was pretty much up to him but he'd have to talk to them all sooner or later.

Davis wrote 'Not tonight, maybe tomorrow?' and passed it back. TK nodded understandingly before turning back to staring blankly at the teacher. Davis sat there, trying to concentrate and failing.

* * * *

"So how did school go?" Matt asked.

Davis pulled a face.

"So-so," he said.

Matt smiled at him.

"Well, you did it," he said.

Davis nodded.

"Coming back home with me?" he said, deliberately not looking at Matt's face.

Matt paused.

"Davis..."

"Please?"

"Are your parents going to be home?"

"Yes. But we can be quiet. Please Matt?"

"All right."

* * * *

Another week passed. It was only on the Friday of that week that Davis finally summoned up courage to go to the Digital World again. Yolei and TK acted almost normal. Kari acted in the strange manner she'd adopted ever since this had all begun, not nasty, but sort of confused. Iori wouldn't speak to him at all. The only acknowledgement of Davis that he even gave was when Davis suggested something. Iori snorted softly and looked scornful. Davis suddenly realised that he'd completely cheapened himself in Iori's eyes. Iori would never trust him, never value his ideas or opinions. All because of this.

Davis didn't go straight home. He went over to Matt's. He was scared Matt would turn him out but Matt took one look and pulled him inside.

"Come on," he said "You'll have to wait a little for my undivided attention because me and the band are rehearsing but I can give you something chocolatey to eat and you can watch. Would you like that?"

Davis nodded. Matt gave him some lemonade and chocolate, sat him down, then went back to the band.

"Okay," he said "Since we have an audience, let's try to impress him."

"No."

"What do you mean no?" Matt spluttered.

"He'll think we're much cooler if we sit here doing nothing."

"Gen-do...."

"Plus, I've glued the fingers on my right hand together."

"WHAT?"

"Oops?"

Davis lay back giggling as Matt and the rest of the band prised Gendo's fingers apart. Gendo yelled, shrieked and generally made a big fuss about it but eventually, it was done.

"NOW can we practice?"

"What do you think guys? Should we drive Matt to apoplexy again or shall we spare him?"

"Please spare me," Matt begged "C'mon guys, ONE practice?"

"All right."

"THANK YOU!"

Davis only listened to half of the actual rehearsal before he fell asleep.

* * * *

He woke up when Matt laid him gently on his bed.

"Ken?" he mumbled drowsily.

"No," Matt replied softly "I'm Matt, Davis. Remember?"

He didn't sound mad or upset, just slightly concerned. Davis gave him a sleepy smile.

"Sorry."

"That's okay. I've phoned your parents and told them where you are. I wasn't sure how much longer you were going to sleep."

"I'm not awake yet."

Matt laughed. Getting onto the bed with Davis, he pulled him close and held him tightly in his arms. Davis snuggled up, resting his head on Matt's chest.

"Can I sleep here?" he murmured.

"For the night you mean?"

"Um hm."

"You'll have to ask your parents that," Matt said "But you can definitely stay a little longer."

Davis smiled and pressed closer, enjoying Matt's warmth.

"I like you."

"Thanks."

Matt draped an arm lightly over Davis's body and closed his own eyes. In a few minutes, both of them had gone to sleep.

* * * *

When Matt opened his eyes, it was getting dark outside. Mentally cursing himself, he gently wriggled away from Davis. Davis shifted and his eyes flickered open.

"Matt? Where you going?"

"I need to call your parents again," Matt said soothingly "It's okay."

Davis's heavy eyes closed again.

'Poor thing' Matt thought 'School and the Digiworld have really taken it out of him!'

He phoned Davis's parents and managed to get permission for Davis to spend the night. Then he began to make them both pizza and chips, unable to be bothered with anything else. When they were cooked, he went to shake Davis awake.

"Davis? Come on Davis, up you get."

Davis's eyelids flickered. Reaching up, he pulled Matt down to him and kissed him gently. Matt kissed him back, running his fingers through Davis's hair for a few minutes. Then he drew back.

"Dinner is served," he said softly.

Davis blinked at him.

"Oh good," he said "I'm hungry."

"You're always hungry!" Matt said with a laugh "Just like Tai! Come on."

Davis ate all his share (and half of Matt's) before leaning back and looking smug.

"I like food," he said "And you're the greatest cook ever!"

Matt grinned and bowed.

"Thanks!" he said "I'm flattered!"

Davis laughed. He moved round and hugged Matt tightly.

"Thanks Matt," he said muffledly.

"What for?"

"For being so good to me," Davis said "Not many people would do what you've done. Most would've just left me to it. But you've been with me all the way. Thanks."

Matt kissed his forehead and pulled him onto his lap.

"That's okay Davis," he said "It's really okay. I was glad to help you. I'll always help you, no matter what."

They stayed like that for a while. Davis began to kiss Matt's neck gently. Matt let him for a while.

"Matt?"

"Yes?"

"Will you...hurt me again?"

Matt scooped him up in his arms and carried him into Matt's bedroom.

"I've a better idea," he said softly "Why don't you hurt me Davis?"

"What?"

Davis looked confused.

"Haven't you ever wanted to be the one in power?" Matt whispered softly "Don't you want to be the one who gets to administer pain sometimes?"

Davis looked uncertain now.

"I'm....I'm not sure how."

"You've seen how Ken's done it," Matt said.

Davis gulped.

"Okay," he whispered "I'll try."

Matt smiled.

"Good."

He gently put Davis down and sat on the bed.

"The safety word," he said with a smile "Is 'Akemi'."

He looked slightly amused by it, as though it was a joke - which considering what Davis knew about Akemi, it probably was.

"So if you say Akemi, I stop," he said.

Matt nodded.

"Okay," Davis said "You'll have to roll over."

Matt obeyed. Davis paused for a second. He didn't have a whip or candles or anything. How could he do this?

He thought back to things Ken had done to him. One of the first ones had been a spanking. So why didn't he try...?

At first, he was tentative, slow. But Matt seemed to be enjoying it and slowly, Davis let himself strike harder, causing Matt to moan.

"Are you enjoying it Matt?" Davis whispered.

Matt made a movement that might have been a nod and panted something. Davis smiled.

"Good."

He wasn't sure whether he should stop when he wanted to or continue until Matt asked him to stop. The decision was taken out of his hands when Matt sat up, pulled Davis to him and kissed him hungrily. Davis let Matt push him back against the pillows, kissing his all over. It was only when Matt put gently pressure for him to roll over that Davis cowered back, terror sweeping over him.

"No. No, Matt, no. I don't want....not yet."

Matt pulled him close.

"Okay," he whispered soothingly "It's okay, it's okay. We don't do anything you don't want my little Davis. Don't be afraid."

Davis snuggled close, realising that he was shivering slightly. Matt kissed him gently, soothingly until he relaxed.

"I won't ever hurt you Davis, not like that," Matt murmured, playfully nibbling at Davis's ear.

"I know," Davis whispered back "I know you wouldn't....Matt, that tickles! Stop it Matt!"

Matt, grinning evilly, was tickling him. Davis frantically wriggled, trying to avoid Matt's fingers.

"Bastard! Stop it M-a-a-att!"

Matt finally stopped, leaving Davis panting on the bed.

"Creep."

Matt chuckled.

"Come on," he said "It's not bed time yet. Get dressed and we can watch a video."

"Got any porn?" Davis asked hopefully.

"Davis!"

"Well?"

"Liberal doses. But I don't know when Dad's due back so I think we'll stick to films where they keep their clothes on thanks!"

For some reason that neither of them could quite understand, they ended up watching Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' and insulting it as much as possible.

"Why'd you have this anyway?" Davis asked.

"TK used to like Disney. When my parents divorced, I ended up with some of them," Matt explained. "Crap, isn't it?"

Davis laughed. On a Disney role, they picked 'The Lion King' next as it was about the only Disney film Matt liked. They got about half way through before Davis fell asleep in Matt's arms.

The End of Part 2.
