Yeah, last chapter was kind of unexpected, with Matt kind of raping Ken... but there will still be Kaito! I'm not having Yamaken take over...

Take a Turn
... Running

"TK!" Matt cried out, turning around. "TK, what's wrong?"

"I just tripped over my feet," TK mumbled. "Sorry."

Matt took a deep breath. "I thought Ken might have had you or something."

"That's impossible. I hit him over the head hard. Besides, we're in a dead end."

"I hate having to go back the way we came. Do you think we'll have to go past Ken's room?"

"I'm not sure. There must be a turn somewhere along the way," TK replied

"There's always a turn somewhere along the way," Matt whispered. "It sets you off course and you're never the same again."

TK nodded and let his brother's words float through his mind before reaching forward to grab a hold of his brother's arm to guide him.

They walked for a few minutes in a bitter silence, each reflecting over what happened during the past twenty four hours.

"Matt? Are you dating Tai?"

"Yeah."

"I'm happy for you."

Matt smiled and nodded, encouraging his brother forward. He wondered how TK guessed, but shrugged it off.

"Isn't there some sort of light switch we can turn on?" TK asked, sighing. "It's so hard to see anything."

"I'm wondering how Mimi had found everyone."

"Huh?"

"Oh right," Matt said, "you don't know everything that's been happening."

He began to explain to TK everything that happened when he had been Ken's prisoner. TK went wide eyed at a few of the times. When Matt finished, TK went silent for a few minutes.

"I hated having to worry everyone," TK said at last. "Ken told me that everyone thought I was dead."

Matt nodded and suddenly stopped walking. "Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?"

"Shh." He listened for the sound he had heard again. Footsteps. Loud footsteps.

"Ken," TK hissed.

Matt put a finger to TK's mouth, trying to silence his brother. He was listening for the footsteps still. The footsteps seemed to get louder, echoing through the tunnel.

"Matt," TK whimpered. "What should we do?"

"Run, that's what!"

"But we could run right into him!" the younger blonde exclaimed, "It's too dark to see anything!"

"Calm down. Let's just stay where we are then," Matt whispered.

"But--"

Matt quickly covered TK's mouth. "TK, please. Just quiet down and we'll listen to see which way the footsteps are heading."

The footsteps deceased and instead, a voice startled both of the teens. "Wormmon, why aren't the lights working?"

"W-we're not sure, m-master."

"Well fix it! I need to find them! And while you're at it, get me some ice."

"Y-yes master. You sit down right here in your throne and I'll get you some ice."

TK wriggled free from where Matt's hand had covered his mouth. "We're in Ken's throne room! No wonder why we couldn't find the way out of here!"

Matt covered TK's mouth again, urging him to remain silent. He looked at his brother in the eye, seeing them glimmer with a fright Matt had never seen in his brother before. He realized that TK was more afraid of Ken than anything else in the world and he suddenly hugged his brother very close to him, not ever wanting to let go.

For those few minutes, sitting in the dark corner, he hugged his brother.

"I think we should split up."

Everyone turned to Davis, encouraging him to continue.

"See how it's coming for us, but a bit to the left? Well I think we should split into two groups and go inside on both the left and the right. That way we can try finding Matt easier," Davis explained, adding, "and we won't have to deal with Tai and Mimi's fighting anymore."

Mimi held herself from protesting, instead crossing her arms. "You didn't need to be so blunt."

"Fine with me. Why don't Kari, Izzy, and I head to the right? Davis, you can lead Mimi, Yolei, and Cody to the left. It'll take you guys a bit longer since it's heading in that direction, but go to it anyway," Tai instructed.

"Is there really any point to this? We'll be able to see each other across the desert anyway," Yolei said.

Davis glared at Yolei. "Separating Mimi and Tai," he muttered to her.

"Never mind," she said, smiling. "Let's split up."

They began walking their separate ways, which really wasn't far apart. They were in yelling distance range within a few minutes, but none found any reason to talk to the other group.

"Tai, please don't get so frustrated with Mimi. She's been in the fortress all night and God who knows what happened there."

Tai looked at his little sister, sighing. "You're right. She has been. I'm just worried about Matt."

"I know, we all are. Matt will be fine. He's tough."

"Not when his little brother just died. Matt goes hay wire over his brother getting hurt. He could be doing some psycho things."

Kari sniffed. "Don't say his name, please."

Izzy and Tai both turned to her as she wiped her eyes.

"Sorry," Tai mumbled. "But getting back to Matt, we better do find him soon before he does something stupid."

Joe glanced up at the clock, reading that it was eight thirty. Almost time to go to bed.

He was beginning to wonder how the others were on their mission. The phone rang, bringing the blue haired boy out of his thoughts.

"Hello?" he answered.

"Hi Joe, it's Sora."

"Hi Sora."

"I'm getting worried."

"Over the others?"

"Yes," she replied. "We're the only ones not helping with this. I haven't heard from them all day. They've been gone for almost two days now."

"You're right. That's not like them to not call all day, especially over something as serious as this."

"Maybe we should go to the Digital World and try to help."

"But how? We don't have any way of getting there."

"We'll think of some way." She added, "Joe, don't be so pessimistic."

"Hey Mimi, do you think Matt will do anything stupid?" Yolei asked.

"Hope not. Like Tai said, he could considering how close he was to TK," Mimi replied.

"They didn't seem that close," Davis said.

"You haven't known them for as long as I have," the pink haired girl said. "When we first went into the Digital World, Matt pretended to be annoyed with his brother, when really, all he wanted was his brother to be safe. And now... Matt can't do that anymore."

"Not with TK dead," Yolei finished gloomily.

"Thanks for putting it so bluntly," Davis muttered sarcastically.

Yolei sighed. "I wonder what his lasts thoughts were. Was he scared? Who was he thinking about? Did he feel pain?"

"Yolei, PLEASE!" Everyone yelled.

Her face reddened and she put her head down. "I was just saying..."

"We know, Yolei. We all wonder the same thing. Just... don't," Mimi said slowly.

"There's the others," Cody pointed out, trying to change the subject. "I wonder what they're talking about?"

TK pressed his head against his brother's chest, trying to get what little comfort Matt had to offer. Everything that had happened was just catching up with him, and he was scared, feeling like he had when they first went into the Digital World.

"Now TK," Matt whispered hoarsely, pulling the younger blonde away from his body, "you have to be more quiet. We'll just sit here until we see a way to escape."

"Who's there?"

Both Matt and TK froze, realizing they shouldn't have been so loud.

"It's just me, Master," Wormmon replied, walking into the room.

Matt pin pointed where Wormmon came from, already planning how to escape.

"Oh. I thought I heard something else," Ken said. "Well, is the power working yet? I can't find the brothers on my screen until the power works again."

"It should be working in a few minutes, Master. Here's your ice."

Matt nudged TK, helping him stand up. Slowly they made their way across the stone floor, careful not to make any noise. At one point, TK's sneaker squeaked against the floor and they both stopped moving.

"Wormmon, what was that?"

"Just a few digimon scurrying around to get the power working again."

Ken nodded in approval, refocusing his attention on his head.

Matt could see the opening doorway where they would be free of the throne room if they would take just a few more steps. Taking a hold of his brother's arm, Matt picked up the pace as he neared the doorway.

TK allowed Matt to drag him to the next room. They were almost home free of the room when a light blinded them. It took a moment to realize what happened, and before TK could say anything, Matt looked back and locked his eyes past TK's. TK turned around.

Ken stared at the two brothers for a moment, before yelling out, "Guards! Wormmon!"

"Run!" Matt exclaimed, pushing TK forward.

Wormmon was standing in front of Ken's throne until he saw TK and Matt getting away. He began running after them, only he was too slow to keep up with them.

"Well if they think they can get away from me, then they're delusional. I can track them down in a matter of three point four seconds," Ken said, laughing bitterly.

It seemed like hours, yet it was only a few minutes later when Matt and TK stopped running, catching their breath. Sure the power was back on and they could see where they were going, but now it would be easier to be tracked down.

"Matt, there's no point in running."

Matt stopped and turned around. "What? Why not?"

"You heard Ken in the throne room. He said he would be able to track us on some sort of screen no matter what, so what's the point of running if he's only going to catch us?"

"We have to, though. What other choice do we have? To surrender?"

"Might as well," TK said. "He's just going to catch us anyway."

Matt grabbed TK by the shoulders. "I know you've been through a lot. Hell, I don't know how you've stayed so strong until now. But please don't do this, please. We have to find a way out of here or we'll get hurt even more. You're hurting inside and out, my back could be better, and I know the others are hurting because they think you're dead. So c'mon, we can get through this, TK. We've gotten through a lot of things together."

TK shook his head and nodded. "You're right! Let's keep moving and try to dodge this as long as we can."

Matt smiled and began following his brother through the twists and turns. They ran for a few solid minutes in silence, until they came to a place to choose either left or right.

"C'mon, let's just go right," TK said, running around the corner. As he ran, he stumbled back; Matt caught him. They both looked up.

"You actually thought you could escape me," Ken said, smirking. "Tsk tsk tsk. I'm shocked that you actually thought that. You lot really are stupid."

Matt scowled while TK stood up straightly and leaned into his older brother, slightly nervous.

Ken smirked and snapped his fingers. "Take them back to my room."

"Let go of me!" TK yelled, struggling.

Matt didn't say anything, instead piercing daggers into Ken's eyes. He allowed himself to be taken by Ken's prisoner digimon to his room. When they were in there, the door closed and was locked behind them. Ken was in the room too, of course.

Matt got up and slowly helped his brother to his feet. They stared cautiously at Ken, who was leaning against the door with his arms crossed. He was still smirking that same smirk he had shown many times over the past few days, when he stood up and began walking over to them.

Matt stood protectively in front of TK, but as soon as Ken was within touching distance, TK came around and lashed out at the dark haired boy, screaming, "Don't touch us! Leave us alone!"

"TK, don't!" Matt shouted, running forward to stop his brother. But as Matt did, something held him back. He realized a digimon was holding him back, preventing him from saving his brother.

TK was oblivious to noticing anything but Ken. He lunged at him again, but Ken dodged and TK fell to the floor, cursing.

Ken walked up to TK and kicked him in the stomach repeatedly, beginning to start a rhythm of kicking. A twisted smile grew on his face as he watched with satisfaction as TK cried out in pain and begged for him to stop. He ignored Matt's pleas and shouts as well, focusing on the young blonde in front of him. He bent down and lifted TK up by the collar and pressed him against the wall, beginning to punch him. After a few minutes of that, he stopped and TK slid to the ground, half crying and screaming in pain.

Ken walked past Matt, who was trying to kick at him, but wasn't in range. He smirked at Matt once more and reached for what he was looking for: his whip. As he walked past Matt, he cracked it before Matt's feet, startling the blonde.

"No... no," Matt whispered as he shook his head, watching that monster walk towards TK with his whip. "No, don't do it! You can't!"

"I can and I will."

He smiled when he lightly tapped TK with the whip. For a moment he stood there, slowly swirling the whip over TK's back and to his thighs; then he rose it slightly and brought it down hard.

TK yelped, trying to turn away from the whip. He winced as it was brought down repeatedly upon his body, and when it hit him in the chest, he began sobbing. His brother's voice seemed to travel to his ears, but so distantly, though he could hear the urgency in it. It never failed, his brother always worried about him.

Tears glistened Matt's eyes as he watched Ken bring down the whip on TK. He wanted it to stop, to stop instantly. But how?

"K-Ken stop," Matt said softly, his voice shaky.

Ken turned around, glaring at the blonde. "Don't call me Ken! It's Master to you."

Matt gulped. "M-master, please leave TK alone. Please."

"And why should I do that?"

"Because you're a decent person," he replied. His mind was screaming that that was a lie, but he daren't say anything else.

"Ha, a decent person? You really think that's going to make me stop?" Ken asked, rolling over a hunched up TK, who's breathing seemed to be depleting. He brought down the omen on TK once more, emitting a harsh cry from him. He was just about to bring it down again, when Matt forced out another answer.

"Stop! You're not evil, Ken! Just misguided! Please, let me and the other Digidestined help you. You're one of us!"

This only seemed to make Ken more angry because he lashed out on TK even more.

Matt realized that talking reasonably wasn't working with him. Time seemed to be running out, and though there was no clock, he felt TK wasn't going to last much longer.

TK coughed when he felt blood in the back of his throat, leaving him an awful bitter taste while Ken beat on him. Blackness was beginning to take over his mind, but very slowly.

"I'll do anything! Just don't hurt him anymore!" Matt exclaimed when TK began to cough.

Ken immediately stopped and dropped the whip beside TK. He snapped his fingers and when he did, the digimon that was holding Matt disappeared, leaving Matt to fall to the ground. The blond instantly shot up and began to run towards his bruised brother, but Ken grabbed his arm.

"We're going to do things my way or I'll finish him off."

Matt didn't look back until he made sure that TK was breathing, and when he did, he just nodded at Ken.

"Good. Now come."

Matt followed Ken towards his bed and already knew what going to come. Ken took the same ropes that had Matt tied up earlier and used them again to do the same thing. Once the ropes were secure, Matt laid down on the bed, ready for what was coming.

Ken removed himself of his Kaizer outfit and took off Matt's pants and boxers as well. He stole a glance at the lubricant that was sitting on his night stand, but when he thought about the recent hours before when Matt had not used lubricant, he passed on the idea.

Matt grimaced when he realized Ken wouldn't use lubricant; he grimaced even more when Ken entered him. There was no pause to get used to the feeling. Oh no, he wouldn't have Matt enjoying this at all. Matt wriggled a bit when Ken reentered him, mainly because he wished his hands were free to clutch the bed. While Ken worked up a rhythm, Matt balled up his fists until he cut into his hand from his nails.

When Ken came, Matt thanked the Gods and allowed himself to fall on the pillows. Sighing, he opened his eyes a crack and met with TK's wide eyes. It was safe to say both of the blonde brothers were in pain.
