Take a Turn
It's Simple

"It should have been there!"

"It's not in there," Istu stated.

"We noticed that," Akemi said, intending to make Istu sound stupid, but not doing a good job of it. He was too busy watching Matt look frustrated at the pile of papers surrounding him.

"Maybe we should go," Toshiki said to the others. He turned to Matt, giving his shoulder a small squeeze. "Hope you can find the device."

The rest of the band said their farewells and left the house. Tai turned to Matt.

"We'll find it."

"Where?" asked Matt, his voice cracking. "This was where it was supposed to be! I have no ideas where else it can be!"

Tai kneeled beside his boyfriend, enveloping him into a hug. "Shhh... we'll get it back, I promise. I'll do anything to get it back."

Matt sniffed. "Thanks Tai. That means a lot."

Kari was pacing back and forth since the moment she skipped school and came home, wondering how TK was doing. She hadn't meant to cause him to faint, but despite how wrong it was, she was curious to know what happened that night. She knew that Tai felt the same way.

When the phone rang, Kari jumped in surprise and quickly answered it.

"Hello?"

"Kari, it's Tai. I'm over at Matt's right now. Anyway, TK's already waken up and he's sleeping."

Kari let out a sigh. "Good. When are you coming home?"

"Probably not for a while."

"How come?"

"Matt needs me..."

Kari smiled. "Did you guys make up?"

"Yes. Next time, though, please don't interfere."

"I won't. See you soon," she said, hanging up the phone.

Kari smiled as her beloved cat jumped upon her lap. Stroking it softly, she thanked the Gods that everything was beginning to work their way again.

TK's eyes fluttered open and he was forced to stare at the white wall in his brother's room until he turned over. His head was pounding slightly, but the feeling of peacefulness triumphed over the headache.

The blonde was feeling a bit hungry so he stood up. When he walked out of Matt's room and past the living room, he lifted his eyebrow at what he saw. Matt was laying on his back, moaning as Tai kissed what seemed to be every inch of Matt's upper body.

"Please Tai..."

"But what about--"

"It wasn't as bad for me as it was for TK," Matt whimpered. "Besides, I'm older. I can handle it. Please Tai!"

Tai smiled slightly and resumed to kissing Matt's abdomen. He began undoing the jeans on Matt, kissing as he pulled down the zipper. TK was somewhat entranced by this, and it wasn't just the romantic part. It was the love they seemed to share. The gestures they had and the touches and caresses... It was all beautiful to the teen's eyes. He felt that it wasn't fair he lost his virginity the way he did, but there was no way going back.

Finally TK shook his head out of his trance and began walking back Matt's room. He intended to shut the door and hide his head under a pillow so that he wouldn't hear anything from the other room. However, as he walked back, he slid on a pile of clothes and landed in front of the bedroom door, cursing. As fast as he got up, Matt began calling.

"Is that you, TK?"

"Um yeah."

"You okay?" Matt asked as he approached him. "Did you just wake up?"

"Yes, I did."

"Want something to eat?" Tai asked.

TK smiled and nodded, looking at the floor. Sometimes it's nice to have your brother and his boyfriend there for you.

Davis frowned at the two empty seats next to him. He wondered what happened to TK and Kari. Are they in trouble? Did TK do something stupid? Or was it Matt who did the stupid thing? Are they even in trouble? The wondering began to get to Davis so he quickly excused himself from class and decided to skip the rest of the day. Besides, he only had two more classes left.

As he left the building, he was deciding where to go. Should he go to Matt's, TK's, or Kari and Tai's apartment? He crossed off TK's apartment for the fear that TK's mother would be home and since Matt's was the closest, he went there. He also wanted to to talk to Matt.

Davis decided that he would tell Matt that he, too, slept with Ken. Why? Well for one thing, advice he once received was to always talk to friends about problems. So, that's what he intended to do. Secondly, he wanted to know for sure what happened the night that TK was beaten.

Matt's apartment came into view not too long later and he quickly made his way up, knocking on the door when he reached there. It only took a moment before Matt came to the door.

"Hey Davis. What are you doing here?"

"I don't know how to say this, but TK and Kari aren't in school and--"

"Hi Davis."

Davis peered past Matt to see TK sitting on the couch next to Tai.

"Oh. I guess you knew that, huh?"

Matt nodded and invited Davis inside. Tai stood up and he and Matt left the room.

"What's wrong with you anyway?" Davis asked, sitting on the couch where Tai had been.

TK shrugged, continuing to stare at the blank tv.

"TK, what happened? You can tell me..."

"You wouldn't understand."

"What? Do you actually think that I don't know what happened to you? TK, I pretty much know what happened."

TK frowned and didn't stop staring at the tv.

"Please talk to me! I hate being left out when I know exactly how you feel!"

"Know how I feel? How could you possibly know how I feel?" TK asked coldly, finally looking at Davis.

For a moment Davis was lost in the deep depth's of TK's eyes, that is, until TK reached out and wiped at his face.

"Davis, why are you crying? Did he... no... no Davis! Please don't tell me this!" TK stood up, shaking his head.

Davis hadn't realized that he was crying until TK pointed it out. He, too, stood up and nodded slowly to TK's inquiry. TK's mouth dropped and tears formed in his eyes. Before he could say anything, Davis leaned forward and pressed his lips against TK's. At first TK froze, unsure of how to respond, but after a few moments he eagerly responded to the warmth that was provided by Davis.

There was this small part of Davis that felt something that he knew he shouldn't. There would always be a part of him that wanted to be like Ken. It was wrong, yes, but it wasn't something he could help. He wanted to try dominating someone for once. Slowly he pushed TK back onto the couch, sealing any sounds that the blonde could make with his mouth.

The more Davis got into it, the more TK began to struggle. At first it was only taking Davis' hands away from his lower body, but now the blonde was trying to push him off. After a minute, Davis stopped kissing him. He stared into TK's eyes, noticing how frightened he looked.

"TK, I'm--"

"Don't say it!" TK yelled, beginning to cry. "Y-you.... what are you doing? Get off of me! Get off of me!"

Davis scrambled off of TK, trying to hush him, but TK continued to scream and cry. Finally, Matt and Tai ran into the room.

"What's going on?" Matt demanded, rushing to TK's side.

"I-I-"

"Just go away!" TK screamed, burying his head into Matt's chest. He continued screaming the same thing, although it was muffled due to Matt.

"What did you do, Davis?" Tai asked.

"N-nothing... I should go," he said, quickly running from the two blondes and brunette.

He ran from the apartment as fast as he could, not looking back until he could no longer see it in sight. Slowing down the pace, he quickly wiped the tears that were falling down his face. Oh why did I do that?! How could I be so stupid? Has Ken turned me into some sort of sex fiend? Now TK's going to be hate me forever!

The last thought caused Davis to cry harder, and he quickly hurried home.

"I feel left out."

Joe turned around, frowning. "Why is that?"

"I want to know what happened to to TK and Matt. Yolei told me her side of the story on what happened to herself, Kari, Cody and Mimi."

"What about Davis? Wonder what happened with him?"

Sora's jaw dropped slightly. "I never thought of him."

"Well was he with Kari and the others at that time?"

"No. Or at least Yolei never mentioned him."

"I'm sure he was all right," Joe said.

"But that's the weird thing. I heard that they met up with Davis later. I wonder what happened. Now you have me all worried," Sora said.

"He probably was locked up at a later time. Therefore, he wasn't with the others."

"No. I don't think that's the case. I'll see you later. I'm going to make a phone call to America."

"TK, you have to calm down," Matt said, stroking his brother's hair softly and rocking him back and forth. "Calm down. You're safe. You're home--well, at Dad's home anyway."

TK continued sobbing, now beginning to hiccup. Matt held TK tighter, still stroking his hair and rocking him.

"Tai, can you go grab TK those sleeping pills?"

Tai nodded and hurried into the kitchen. He found the bottle a moment later on the counter. As he walked back to the living room, he read the back to see how many to give him. What he saw surprised him. He ran back into the living room, shouting, "You can't let him take these! You can't!"

Matt looked up, and even TK stopped crying to look up too.

"Why?" Matt asked.

"It says clearly on the bottle," Tai said, pointing to the label to make his point more clear, "'Warning: Some individuals have a high chance of becoming depressed. Especially those who are stressed.' Don't give these to him, Matt. He'll become depressed!"

Matt nodded and turned his attention back to TK. "Would you like to take a nap anyway?"

TK shook his head and clutched Matt's shirt. "Don't make me."

Matt nodded and mouthed to Tai to throw the pills away just in case. When Tai came back, TK was close to falling asleep. The brunette took a seat on the couch across from them, beginning to stare out of the window. He wondered what Davis did to make TK freak out so badly. Before he knew it, a hand squeezed his shoulder. Tai looked up as Matt sat beside him.

"He's asleep."

Tai nodded. "TK's been so... odd lately. He wasn't so bad before, but ever since this morning..."

"I guess the lesson to learn is not to speak of Ken around him."

"But what happens when we start to formulate plans to go back to the Digital World to defeat Ken? We're going to need TK to help. He's one of our strongest."

Matt shrugged. "I refuse to help until I find my digivice. Hey, we forgot all about that! Let's start looking again."

Tai nodded and stood up. "Now if it's not in that cabinet anymore, where could it be?"

"I'm not sure. I'm so mad that it's not in there!"

"Do you think your dad might have taken it to work with him?"

"But why would he do that?" Matt asked.

"Well he's your father, not mine."

Matt sighed in annoyance. "We might as well try searching again anyway."

"In his bedroom?"

"Yes. It should be there."

"What makes you say that?" Tai asked.

"It's the only place I can think of."

**~**

Davis slammed the door to his room and kicked it a few dozen times, trying to get rid of his anger. He could not believe what he just done! He was supposed to be there for TK and help him through it, and now TK was going to hate him. What was wrong with him?

He finally stopped kicking the door when Jun screeched at him. Instead of kicking, he slid down against the door so that his arms were folded over his knees and he had his head buried in them.

What to do? What to do? The others are going to start hating me if they see what I've done... But then again, it's not like I raped TK... I just pushed him a little too far, that's all. What if they exclude me out of everything? After all, TK is more popular in the group than me! He's been a Digidestined longer and everyone loves him. Should I do anything? I wonder if he told Matt and Tai what happened...

When he feared what Tai and Matt might do, Davis got an idea. He wasn't sure if he would regret it or not, but he didn't think he had a choice.

**~**

"We've almost searched the entire room and so far nothing," Tai grumbled.

Matt didn't say anything, unsure of how to respond. Instead, he continued to search.

"You guys are looking in the wrong place."

The couple turned to see TK standing in the doorway with his arms crossed. He wandered into the room silently and went to the closet.

"We already searched there," Tai protested, but Matt quickly hushed him, staring at his brother.

TK stuck his hand into a few of the shirt pockets that were hanging. After a moment, a small smile grew on his face and he pulled his hand out. By the time he looked up, the smile was gone and he threw something.

Although Matt was surprised, he managed to catch what was thrown. "My digivice!" he cried out, hugging it tightly to his chest. "How'd you know it's there?"

"Since Kari got the key from Dad's shirt, I figured he might have hid the digivice in one."

Matt ran to his brother and hugged him. "Oh thank you for finding it!"

TK nodded and didn't bother hugging him back. As Matt let go, TK said, "I'm going out for a while. See you in a bit. I'll come back here later."

"Where do you have to go?" Tai asked.

TK shrugged.

"You can't go out in this condition!"

"I'm fine. All I needed was a good rest," TK said.

He left the room and quickly got dressed to go outside. In a matter of a few minutes, he was walking the streets, trying to welcome the sunlight that poured down on him. He didn't have any but one destination to go to; and that would be Davis' apartment. What he really wanted to know is why Davis kissed him. And did Davis really get seduced by Ken too?

When he reached Davis' apartment, Jun answered the door.

"Is Davis home?"

"He's somewhere in his room. He's throwing a temper tantrum like a baby. Watch out, it's probably a war zone in there," she said with a snort.

TK nodded and walked past her, knocking on Davis' door. He waited a moment, but when he got no reply, he tried again, also calling Davis' name. Once again no one answered, so hesitantly he opened the door. It was a war zone, but then again, Davis' room was always like this, so TK knew there were no changes.

Davis wasn't there. TK realized that after a moment. He shut the door to his room and began looking around, hissing, "Davis! Davis!"

When he didn't find him, he sat on his bed, frowning. If he wasn't in his room like Jun said... Then where was he? When he looked up, he got his answer. The computer was on, and the screen was brightly reflecting back at him.
