This is really sad chapter and It wasn't my intention to do this in the first place but....it just came to mind and I thought why not...the story will only get better (I think). Tell me what ya think. I'll have Chapter 6 out as soon as I can.

Love That Binds Chapter 5

"Oh hi…. nice to meet you." Kari replied, TK put his hand out to her. "Madison's a nice name." He said. "Oh thank you I'm sure glad to be here…I didn't think I'd get a offer this soon." She replied.

"Oh my manners. You can come in." Kari said to her. They smiled "I've got some bags in my car still. But I still have to go and get them."

"Not to worry my fiancé will be glad to help you out. Right TK." Kari questioned him. "No problem Madison I'll get them for you." He said sweetly as his fiancé asked him.

He went to Madison's car.

"Okay that little girl there is my niece, Saria she's 9 turning 10 soon. Right Saria?" She asked. "Yup." She replied as Saria returned to the book. "That's cute…. and my mother Anna Kamiya she is holding my other niece…Maiko Kamiya and her twin he's with …oh here they are."

They came into the kitchen. "This is Mimi and Matt Ishida…and that little baby is my nephew Li Kamiya." She said. "Oh there so adorable…where are there parents?" Madison asked. "Ha…. good luck finding them." Matt replied.

"Hey what was that Yamato?" Sora asked as she and Tai came from the living room. Anna joined them with Maiko in her arms. "Nothing Sora…I was just going to say that you and Tai are the only of the Digi destines beside Izzy who has kids." He said nervously. Tai glared at him. "Sure what ever." He replied.

"Tai Kamiya this is my wife Sora." He shook hands with the maid. "We live in the guest house it's only for temporally though." Tai said. Kari and the other laughed, as did his mother Sora and Tai and Madison wore a clueless expression on what was funny.

"Too funny Tai…you said that about…8 years ago and yet you still live there." Kari said to him. "I believe I didn't need a run down of what I said I was going to do or not." Tai said.

"Okay I think we'll call it a night. The kids are falling asleep." Sora said. "Okay Well Mom, when dad gets back from his trip later tonight tell him his grand kids are fine and say hi okay." Tai asked his mother.

Sora put Maiko into the carrier then Li into his carrier. Tai took Li's carrier and Sora took Maiko's, Sari finally put the book down and tiredly went into the kitchen. "Okay good night you 5…" Matt replied. "Night everyone." They said.

The family left, Matt sighed… "You know what I never realized how weird it sounded saying you five." He replied. "Well of course you two only see them a little bit, I see them every day and it is kind of hard to believe it you'll get used to it." TK said to his brother. "Tai and Sora made so many bad mistake's….I still think if they'd hadn't had Saria then thing would be different…I mean Tai's like changed he's always at home. And it's not like I care but our relationship has changed…to occasional conversation." Matt said.

"Okay you four can talk but it's getting late…. Madison I'll take you to you room." Anna said they held up the stairs. 'I can't believe they didn't see through this.' Madison thought she grinned 'And it's only going to begin.'

"Well that's what happened when you have a family…. you spend more time with them then you do you friends." Kari said to him. "That's why I'm your wife Matt." Mimi said to him. "No…I didn't mean that way….I love the time I spend with you Mimi. But I need a guy friend I could hang out you know." He said.

TK glanced at Matt then to Mimi who was starting to burn up with anger. "Maybe you should shut up now." TK said. Kari closed her eyes… 'She's going to let him have it.' She thought.

"Yamato! How can you say that! If you want Tai then marry him yourself!" she shouted angry, she marched up the stairs to her room.

"I just got one question." TK asked. "What do you want to know?" Matt asked irrated. "Are you STUPID YOUR MARRIED AND ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS YOUR REALTIONSHIP WITH TAI!!" he yelled at his brother in anger. Matt stood up at him. "DON'T YOU CRIZTIZE ME!!! I CARE ABOUT MY MARRAIAGE!" Matt yelled at him. "THEN USE YOUR BRAINS!" TK said to him. "AND GO AOPOLIGZE TO HER!"

Kari bit her upper lip as they fought; she looked back and forth from both brothers. "My brains I've got them. And you know what get out of my way, I'm going to see my wife." Matt said in a low angry voice. TK glared at him as Matt then head up the stairs.

"TK.…." Kari said trailing off. "He deserves it for being a jackass." His responded. "He's only been married for 2 years…and he still has to get used to the fact that he won't see his best friend for periods at a time." She said to him. "It doesn't matter Kari Tai didn't act like that when he and Sora were married for 2 years now did he…. he's being selfish he has to start considering Mimi's feeling too, your wife is supposed to be your best friend." He said to her.

Kari smiled at him. "Oh your such a gentleman TK…that's the reason I love you so much….but Matt's got to figure that out on his own." She told him. "Okay well like your brother said it's getting late…I'm going to go home okay." TK hugged Kari. Then they walked to the door. "Well good night don't let the bed bugs bite." TK said he smiled. Kissed her berifly "Your silly TK." She told him he smiled and got into his car starting it.

Kari closed the door, and smiled. "Kari honey what was wrong down here with the yelling." Anna asked. "TK and Matt got into a fight about Matt's attitude….it's nothing really that couldn't be handled." She said. "Oh well. I'm staying up waiting for you father to come home." Anna told her. "Okay mom I'll see you both in the morning then." Kari said to her before heading up to her bedroom. "Yes honey." She said.

Matt sighed he walked to his and Mimi's room he tried to open the door but he couldn't it was locked. "Mimi….I know your in there can I come in?" he asked. "No…maybe you'll start giving me some notice I'm not just a wife I'm supposed to be your friend also." She said.

"I am your friend Mimi." He said. Mimi sat on her bed and ignored his calls to let him into the room. 'How am I supposed to bring a child in this kind of environment where me and Matt fight all the time.' She cried out in her thoughts.

"Mimi come on." He said again. He heard the unlocking of the door she let him, and then closed the door once he came in.

"Look I'm sorry about what I said down there. That is not what I meant. I love you so much…. and I'll do anything to make up for it." He said to her.

Mimi turned her back to him, she went through her luggage and picked up her nightgown, she took her clothing off and slipped into her nightgown and crawled into bed. Matt watched her sadly. "Mimi come on we have to talk about this." He said to her. "I don't want talk about this tonight…I'm tired and I want to go to sleep." She said to him. "Okay tomorrow then." He said. He took his shirt off and pants, then crawled into the bed also. "Keep you hands to yourself and don't talk to me else I hurt you badly and I know where the weak spot is." She threatened.

Matt sighed he closed his eyes. 'Why is she so mad? About this she never gets this angry.' He thought. 'If only he knew about the baby…then maybe he might change his mind. But I doubt it…if he doesn't care I might as well terminate this pregnancy.' She thought sadly.

Early morning hour's…2:30am

There was crying Tai was first to wake up…he glanced briefly at his night clock, he got up of bed slowly not to wake Sora…he put on a robe since it was kind of cold and all he was wearing was his boxers. And slipped on his slippers and walked to the kids' room.

He walked to Maiko she was crying. Picking her up she cried even more. "Shhh…Maiko what wrong shh…" he rocked her back and forth in his arms. He into the living room, so he wasn't going to wake up the other two.

He put the soft music on started to rocking in a rocking chair. Her crying was like sounded laboured it scared Tai. He patted her back softly. "Come on don't cry shhh…." He told her.

Sora stirred in her bed she woke up she heard crying; nervously she quickly got up throwing on her robe. "Tai…" she called him. "Sora…she's crying like this for a while something wrong with her." Sora held her arms out to him Tai let her take Maiko, she rocked her side to side, in the rocking chair. She wasn't claming down.

"I don't like this Sora I'm going to take her to emergency room." he said urgently, She gasped; Tai quickly put his daughter into the carrier "Tai you don't think that's it serious is it?" she asked truth was she didn't want to admit it to herself that it could be serious. "I don't know but we can't take that chance…I know something is wrong you can heard it in her crying." He went into his room and changed into a jogging suit and came out of room.

"Okay honey stay here…I'll call you." He said he hurried out the door with Maiko who was crying still. Sora followed him and watched from outside as he got into his car in a hurry and started it he backed out of the driveway. She felt her tears welding up in her eyes. 'Please let my baby be okay.' She thought.

Li began to cry she wiped her eyes and went to the nursery to get him as she picked him up he stopped crying. "Oh Li your sister is going to be fine okay." She whispered to him, she sat in her rocking chair rocking him to sleep she began to cry herself again.

Tai's speedometer was going 100 km/h down a 50 speed limit road. The hospital was about a mile or so way from them it wasn't that far away.

Maiko cried started to die down a bit. He looked in the back seat through the rear view mirror. She was moving oddly as if she was trying to stay alive. "Oh god…." He whispered he hurried. He slowed down as he reached the emergency room of the hospital.

He got out taking his daughter out of the car in her carrier…she looked blue.. "No…. SOME ONE HELP ME!!" Tai yelled in desperate state two emergency workers heard him and came to him. "What's wrong sir."

"My baby…. she's not breathing." He cried his tears falling down his face. The two workers took his daughter from him. They called orders out but Tai didn't hear anything they were saying he just followed them but stopped by a nurse "Sir take a seat here." She said to him. Tai started cry "NO she's my daughter!" he yelled angry at her. "You can't do anything sir please be seated at the waiting rooms area." The nurse had told him, Tai's shoulders slumped down he walked to the waiting room and sat down in a chair he sobbed into his hands that were shaking terribly from fright and scare that had just happened.

Sora waited patiently for Tai to phone her she glanced at the clock every minute or so it was 2:57 am right now she had put Li to sleep but she couldn't go to sleep at all her worry was getting worse by the minute…a whole lot of things crossed her mind…what if Tai crashed his car and he was dead and well as Maiko what if he did make it but Maiko died. 'Tai phone me please.' She thought.

ring, ring…

Sora tears had blurred her vision a little bit. She grabbed the phone. "Tai." She said into the receiver…he didn't say anything… "Tai say something…your scaring me." She told him. When he did he started to cry. Sora covered her mouth in shock her tears spilled over in her eyes then rolling down her cheeks. "Tai tell me she didn't…" she asked. "I don't know they'd been in there for almost 20 minutes. It was scary Sora. When I got here…she turned blue…I …I didn't know …w…what…to…. do." he told her shaking he was crying his voice broke several times… "Tai I'm coming okay." She said "No Sora …" he was cut off by him. "I'm coming you need me Taichi…remember our vows…. through sickness and in health…. y…your u…upset…" she was cut off by his sobs. "I'll be there Tai." She said trying to be strong for him she closed the phone.

"Okay Saria, honey get up." Sora woke her eldest daughter up. "Mom? What's wrong?" she asked tiredly, she then hauled herself up as her mother went to wake up her brother. "Shhh…Li." She quipped to the small baby as she picked him up.

"Mom what's wrong?" she asked again. "Saria honey get your blanket and the blanket from mine and daddy's bed. Fold them up and get changed into some clothes. Mommy is going to pack Li's bag okay. " She said to her, Saria watched her mother who nervously put things into the baby bag. She got up and did as her mother asked her to.

4:00am…hospital waiting room area of ER.

Sora saw him sitting his chair she walked toward him slowly while she held Saria's hand and Li in his carrier. Sora let Saria sit down in the chair she put the baby carrier in another chair and cover Saria who had fallen asleep in the chair. "Tai I'm hear now." She whispered to him, he stood up as she straightened herself. "You look horrible." She said. "Cause I feel horrible." He replied, Sora opened her arms to him and hugged him. Tai hugged her back tightly.

"They've been in there with her for 4 hours." He said softy into her shirt. "You mean they haven't taken her out of ER yet?" she asked. "No….I keep on waiting and thinking here what if she….she's gone…" he said. Sora rubbed his back "We can't think that Tai. Don't you think that we got to be strong." She said.

"I am Strong…but this is killing me." He told her. They pulled out of their hug looking at each other. "I…." Sora trailed off as she saw the doctor…Tai watched as he approached them.

"Excuse me are you Mr and Mrs Kamiya?" he asked. "Yes we are." Tai told him.

"I got a condition on your daughter we were able to stabilize her…. and will have to run more tests." He finished Sora looked shocked at first. "How serious dose it look?" Tai asked softly. "I'm afraid I can't tell not until I see the results on the test." He said.

"Okay." Sora replied She looked at Tai. "Come on and sit down beside me." She said, Tai sat down next to her. Saria was fast asleep in the other chair next to her little brother who was it the carrier asleep, bottle in his mouth, Sora took off her slippers as did Tai took his off his and they both cuddled together. Sora threw on their blankets from home over them.

Sora let Tai rest his head on her shoulder she affectionately, ran her hand threw his hair. Deep inside she was scared for her daughter but she wanted to be strong and not feel week like the time she was crying because Tai was hurting from when Jeff had stabbed him in his abdomen.

New Day….8:30 am….

Mimi walked down the stair of the Kamiya home and found Tai's parents both at the breakfast table as well as her husband. "Oh hi Mrs. And Mr. Kamiya, Matt." she said. "Hi how was your sleep honey?" he asked as he got up to walk to his wife. "Fine really Matt." Mimi said to him she didn't sound to happy. "What's wrong this isn't about last night is it?" he asked. Mimi watched him the walked to the living room.

Matt frowned; he looked to Tai's parents. "Sorry about this." He said he got up and tucked in his chair then followed his wife into the living room.

Mimi looked around tried not to cry, as tears were threatening to flow down her face. "Mimi? Is this about last night cause like I said I was sorry." He told her.

"It's not that Matt, I'm not ready to talk about this. So please don't start now." She said to him. "I'm going to see Sora." Mimi said she walked away from Matt and went through the kitchen and out through the back door. "Mimi! Come back you keep running from me!" he called to her; he was greeted with the slam of the door.

Matt then sat down, next to Kevin; he put his head in his hands.

Mimi knocked on the door to Sora and Tai's house. She waited for a while…. but no answer, she went to check to see if the door was open and it was.

Mimi stepped in and looked around. "Sora?……Tai?" she asked she carefully peeked into the kids room only to find that they weren't there she went to the master bedroom and noticed the door was wide open, but there was no sign of either of them.

"Where could they have gone?" she wondered.

At the house….

Madison picked up the phone after no one was answering it. "Hello, Kamiya Residence" she said into the receiver. "Who's this?" a male voice asked. "Is this Tai Kamiya?" she asked. "Yes, Where's my mother?" he asked.

"She's here I can get her for you Mr. Kamiya." She said to him. "No…just tell them to come to the hospital emergency waiting room. And Bring Sora, Saria and me some clothes to change into. Okay." He told her sounding like he was giving orders to Madison. "Right Mr. Kamiya." She said to him and closed the phone. 'Fool.' She thought bitterly. 'The only reason I'm doing this is for Matt.' She looked at him through the living room. "I just have to wait a while get to get a good hold on they're trust." She said to herself quietly.

"Kari can you talk to Mimi for me?" Matt asked her. "Well what do you want me to say to her?" she questioned sounding annoyed. "I want to you to see what wrong…ever since…last week she's been acting weird and I don't know what to make of it." He said.

"I'll see what I can get from her. But I won't tell you if Mimi promises me not to tell you anything." She told him. Matt stood up in frustration. "Then you might as well leave it! That was the whole point of the talk tell me what's wrong with her! She doesn't want me to know something and it bothers me that she can't tell me." He cried out.

"Matt I don't think that's it." Kari said. "Then care to explain to me Kari?" he asked. Madison walked into the kitchen… "Um…I'm sorry but your son was on the phone Mrs. Kamiya…he said that he wanted everyone to come down to the hospital emergency waiting room and to bring his wife and himself as well as they're daughter Saria some clothes to change into." She said.

"Hospital?" Kevin questioned. "What happened?" he asked. "I don't know…he just told me to tell everyone that." She said.

The phone on Sora's night table rang. Mimi picked it up. "Hello." She said. "Mimi…great um can you get some clothes for Saria, Tai and Sora…and hurry we got to go to the hospital now." Kari said. "Okay…. what happened is some one sick?" she asked.

"I don't know Tai was very unclear. We will find out once we get there thought." Kari said she hung the phone up. Mimi went to the drawers and got a change of clothes for Sora then for Tai…. then going to the kids room and got something for Saria.

Tai was stroking Saria face gently with his hand as he watched her sleep. 'Your sister will be fine.' He thought. Sora was sleeping but looked like she was crying in her sleep then she called out for Tai. He went to his wife. "Sora honey wake up it's only a bad dream." He whispered. She opened her eyes and was met with Tai's chocolate brown eyes; she pulled him to her hugging onto him tightly. "Tai…" she sobbed onto his shoulder. "shh.." he whispered.

"I had a horrible dream…that…everyone I care about was dying…." She cried harder on his shoulder. Tai felt his own tears starting to weld up in his eyes he blinked back and some tears escaped from his eyes and rolled down his cheeks. "We can't think the worst." He said choking on his words…he saw Maiko before they took her from him…she had turned a blue colour that it seemed so monstrously sick and it upset him that he was helpless…he'd never felt so helpless as the time that Jeff nearly took his life until Sora saved him. But this was worst cause his own daughter was in there fighting for her life possibly and he was out here and he couldn't do anything at all.

Sora let go of him he stood up and took a seat in the chair he had previously been in. "I'm not going to sleep again." Sora replied in a distant voice. "I couldn't sleep for the last 3 hours." Tai told her. Li began to moan softly. "Okay, shhh…." Sora said to him she unbuckled him from the carrier. "I'll be back okay." She told him. Tai nodded and watched as Sora picked up Li and the nursing bag and brought him into a women washroom.

Just as Sora had left Saria woke up. "Mom? Dad?" she called. "Saria did you sleep okay honey?" Tai asked. "No why did we have to wake up so early this morning?" she asked.

"Well we had to take Maiko to the hospital this morning cause she wasn't feeling good." Tai lied to her he can't tell her that her sister nearly died or could be dying.

"Then why are you crying?" she asked him…Tai laughed a bit… "I just got a little something in my eyes that's all." He told her.

"Daddy I'm not dumb I know you were crying is Maiko okay?" she asked. "Your too smart for you own good." Tai said trailing off a bit.

"Daddy tell me!" she cried. "Okay shh….all we know is that she's okay so far." Tai told her. "You don't know what wrong with her then?" she questioned. "No I don't." he said honestly. Saria got out of the chair and jumped into his arms hugging him.

"Tai!" he mother and father came to him Saria let go of her daddy. "Mom, Dad….oh god…Maiko's in the operating room begin treated since 2:30 this morning." He said. "Where Sora Tai?" Mimi asked.

"She's changing Li." He said as he said that Sora came out of the girl's washroom. "Oh you guys came…. just in time." Sora said. "Kari can you take Li for me?" Sora asked Kari nodded and took the little boy in her arms.

The doctor approached the family. Tai and Sora both stood together as the doctor came to them. "She didn't make it." He said.

Tai and Sora looked wide eyed of shock. "What?" Sora asked. "We did all we could do. I'm sorry for your lose." He said.

Sora held onto Tai's arm, she felt sick. Tai was still in shock. The doctor left them their family and friend all were shocked.

"I don't feel so good Tai." Sora told him just before she fainted onto him, Tai picked her up and placed her into a chair…he was so quite not even a tear yet. "Daddy?" Saria called him. Tai didn't respond he look so out of it. Saria just started to cry and ran to her grandmother.

"Shhhh…honey." Anna tried to clam the little girl down patting her back tears started to form in her eyes. As she watched her son look around so dejected.

"Tai…" Matt was going to approach him when Tai put his hand up to him. "I need some alone time." He said and walked toward the terrace.

"Matt he needs his space…." Mimi told him. "I know." He replied.

Mimi went to tend to Sora…who by the looks of it wasn't going to wake up any time soon. "Okay, We'll take the kids home." Kevin said Kari nodded at her father as she and her mother with Li and Saria went home. Mimi and Matt stayed back and watched as Sora slowly began to wake up.

Tai looked over the cold day of January in Obadia. He looked outward he could see his home from here…. but the full impact of what had happened this eerie cold morning was still loose.

'What did I do? Huh…I mean why do Sora and I deserve to suffer like this why!' he shouted in his mind 'I've done all the good things I was supposed to do. Is this just to get back at me for drinking at age of 16.' He thought he rested his arms on the railing that putting his head down on them.

He sniffed once…his tried to shove the last of all the hurt he was feeling inside. But it didn't worked. He took in a breath of air.

Then taking another one and exhaled it…he let his tear flow down his cheeks. "I'm…. so sorry." He said his voice cracked. He sobbed silently, eventually the got so bad that he was crying uncontrollably.

"Where's Tai?" Sora asked weakly. "He's out there." Matt said pointing to terrace door. Sora wobbly a bit walked to the terrace where Tai was. She stopped and watched him, his back heaved up and down he was obviously sobbing. Sora's heart hurt deeply for him and her lost child.

She put her hands over the door handle and turned the handle. She hugged herself tightly the cold winter air breezed through he shirt she had on. "Tai." Sora said softly she reached to touch his shoulder. Tai stood up and turned around to her. "Sora…I'm so sorry." He replied his eyes were red and puffy… It made Sora cry too. He wiped her tears away from her. "Tai…don't be sorry…this isn't your fault or mine." She told him.

That only made Tai cry more he threw his arms around Sora as she did the same to him. They both cried hugging each other. "Tai…. It isn't your fault and nor is it mine." She said to him. "I know but I felt helpless." He said they hugged each other. "We both did." She said, she let herself cry freely as for the first time she realized that this actually happened. They're daughter had died.
