Chapter 2: The Truth and The Darkness
***-2 days later, Izzy's house
All the remaining digidestined were at Izzy's house. When Gennai appears.
“You have to come to the digiworld.” Says Gennai and disappears.
“What!” yelps Sora.
“He said so.” Says Davis.
“Do you guts want to come?” asks Davis.
“No!” yells Izzy to quickly.
“What's bothering you, Izzy?” asks Davis.
“Nothing.” Says Izzy.
“Yes there is!” challenges Davis.
“Let's just go already!” snaps Matt.
“Digiport Open!”
***-Digiworld
They land in a forest. The four older digidestined walk ahead of the younger ones. Gennai appears again and says that their digimon have been captured. He disappears just as Devimon appears.
“It's been awhile, Digidestined.” Chuckles Devimon.
He destroys Patamon. The captures all of them except Tai and Kari.
“Let them go!” yells Kari.
“I think someone has some explaining to do.” Snickers Devimon as he disappears.
“What is he talking about?”
“Me and the other older digidestined have known a little over a week that Devimon had returned.”
“What! Why didn't you tell me! I wouldn't have told Tk!”
“Gennai told us not to tell you guys.”
“Was that what was bothering you?”
“Yes.”
“You lied to me!”
“Kari, I'm…”
“I should've listened to Gatomon.”
That's when Gennai reappears.
“Why didn't you tell us!” yells Kari furious.
“Calm down. I have a prophecy for you.” Says Gennai.
“What?” asks Tai sadly.
“The staffs of Courage and Light shall be used against the King of Darkness once the holders search their significant past for them.” Says Gennai.
“What does that mean?” asks Kari.
“It means I must send you into your pasts to find the staffs.” Says Gennai.
“What!” yell the siblings.
“Good luck!” says Gennai.
Gennai flashes them with a light. Tai and Kari open their eyes to find themselves in the Dark Ocean. Kari and Tai walk down the beach.
“Kari, please forgive me.” Says Tai with his head hung low.
“I don't want to talk about it.”
“Tai, have you lied to me before this?”
“Yes.”
“About what?!”
“SkullGreymon.”
All of a sudden Tai realizes something.
“The Darkness.”
“What are you talking about?”
“When you became a digidestined your light destroyed my darkness.”
“That makes sense.”
That's when there was a flash of light.
