Chapter 5 The Party
A/N: Hope you like this chapter.
Later that week, I go shopping with Takashi san. It's
different from shopping in America. We first stop at a
department store to buy an outfit for me. I pick out a
white blouse with a blue skirt and white stockings. Next,
we stop at a shoe store for shoes. I find some cute
black shoes with laces, even though I don't like black.
Lastly, we stop at a toy store for Tomoki's present(A/N:
I'm not telling you what Tomok's getting in this
paragraph. Read on to find out.).
The next week, Takashi san drove me to Tomoki's
house. She tells me to call her when I'm ready to go. I
say good-bye to her and walk up to the double gates
with my gift. I ring the doorbell. It's attached to an
intercom. "Yes?" A female voice says. "Uh..." I start.
"I'm here for the party. My name is Inguramu Yorande."
"Hold on," the voice says. A few minutes later, the
doors are open and a thin, young woman with short
brown hair and green eyes greets me. She looks like a
female version of Tomoki." My, don't you look nice,"
She complements. "Domo arigato," I reply, bowing.
"Are you Tomoki's friend?" She asks. "Hai," I reply. She
nods and lets me in. We walk up to the house and she
lets me in. The house is decorated with balloons,
colorful streamers--- the works. Kids of different ages
are here, talking, laughing, screaming, and playing.
They seem to be having a good time. Mrs. Himi directs
me to the gift table. I thank her and go over to it and set
my gift beside the others. Suddenly, someone taps me
on the shoulder. I turn around and see Takuya san,
Izumi san, and Junpei all dressed up. Except
Kouji san. He has on casual clothes and he's not
wearing his bandana. He looks REALLY good without it."You
look nice," Takuya san complements. "Arigato," I reply.
"So do you. Where's the birthday boy?" I feel someone
poke me gently in the back. I turn around to see
Tomoki standing behind me with a bow tie. "You look
so cute!" I exclaim, giving him a hug. His cheeks turn
pink. "Arigato." All 6 of us talk. Jokingly, I start to sing
Happy Birthday to him. He giggles and tells me it's not
time yet.
We dance.(Except Kouji san. He's such a wallflower.)
Takuya san breaks down into the latest dance moves. I
laugh. He's good. We do the "Macarina" (A/N: LOL at
Junpei), "Electric Slide," and any other kid friendly
dance moves. After that, we play games. Mr. And Mrs.
Himi had made sure there are games that we can ALL
enjoy. Soon, it's time for the cake."Now," Tomoki says
to me. "You can sing Happy Birthday." I laugh. We all
sing it and he makes a wish and blows out the candles.
We cheer and clap. Then, Mrs. Himi cuts the cake and
passes out pieces. Kouji san doesn't want any and
Junpei insists on getting more than one piece(Typical.).
The cake tastes good. Long after cake, Tomoki opens
his presents. He really likes them all, especially the
new Digimon CD-rom Takuya san had gotten for him. I
had gotten him a remote control race car. Soon, Mr.
and Mrs. Himi hands out the party gifts to all the
guests. It's all Digimon stuff since Tomoki's a huge fan
of Digimon. I don't mind. I like Digimon, too. Later, it's
time to go home. "I had a really good time," I tell
Takashi san. "I'm glad," she says. "Oyasumi nasai," I
say. "Oyasumi nasai," Takashi san says. Then I go to
bed.
