Chapter 16: Friends and Bullies

The bell for lunch rang as the hallway slowly filled with students making their way to either their next class or lunch. This was the only real time Kouji and Takuya had time to hold, hug, kiss, or touch. Walking to Takuya's locker they stopped to open as the brown haired boy put his things in.

"Takuya, I'm going to get some things out of my locker. I'll join you in the lunch room."

"Okay."

Kouji wanted so much to kiss his koi and say that he loved him but that would lead to things that would damage things and he didn't want his koi to be in anymore pain than he has in the past ... not realizing that Takuya wanted it just as bad if not worse. The brunette hated school just as much as his koi, not many people where all that friendly to him. The one thing he didn't like was that some of the students would often look at him or Kouji and he didn't like that. The way they would like was like the way he would look at his koi ... in a loving way.

Takuya headed to the lunchroom and stood in line to get his lunch and sat down at the last table to wait for his koi. It wasn't long before three strong seniors came to the table. One leaned against the wall as the two sat on either side of Takuya making him feel very uneasy ... and slightly scared. Some of the kids from the surrounding tables left or quickened their eating. The brunette sighed inwardly; why wont they leave him alone? For the past couple of days, they've been bugging him. He refused to part of their so-called gangs; and he definitely refused to be the leader boyfriend!

"Excuse me."

The brunette tried to rise to his feet but the guy who was leaning against the wall was right behind Takuya and pushed him down as the leader scooted closer to him putting his arm around his waist making the brunette feel slightly violated.

"Look." Takuya said with slightly anger in his eyes, "have a boyfriend ---"

This caused the main boy to tighten his grip on the brunette?s waist causing Takuya to wince slightly ....

"I don't know how I'm going to get it through your --"

"Let Takuya go."

They all looked straight ahead to see Kouji standing there, his face full of hate! The main boy pulled away slightly seeing how serious Kouji looked ...

"We where ---"

"I know what you where doing and if I see you doing it again I'll kill you." Kouji threatened in an icy tone.

"We'll see," he said getting up, "see you around cootie. Lets go boys."

Both boys where standing a few feet away from the school ...

"Feel like such a weakling."

"Takuya, you?re not a weakling and if I didn't come, who knows what that guy would have done."

"Yes. You could've gotten hurt."

This caused Kouji to smile a little as he rubbed his koi's sides and back ..

"You don't have to worry about me," the dark haired boy responded, "you know that I can take care of my self ---"

He paused for one moment when Takuya looked away slightly. Not again, Kouji thought seeing his koi look a little depressed.

"Why won't people let us be together?" Takuya asked his voice slightly cracked.

This caused Kouji to sigh pulled his koi closer and rubbed his back as Takuya tightened his grip around the dark haired boy's neck.

"I don't know," Kouji breathed, "but I promise that I won?t let anything come between us."

"Don't hate me?" Takuya finally asked.

Kouji frond as he looked at his koi ..

"Why would I hate you? I love you with all my heart because your cute and the sweetest boyfriend anyone could have," the dark haired boy said moving some strains of hair from Takuya's face, "and if it wasn't for you I'd still be the cold person I use to be."

"You mean it?"

"Does this answer your question?"

Kouji leaned closer and kissed his koi tenderly on the lips pulling Takuya's body closer so they where in contact; as his hand moved down to his koi's hip and started to rub. The physical contact felt good and right. Takuya was the first to break the kiss (Kouji's hands still around him) and looked at his koi and smiled. Takuya reached out and moved some hair behind Kouji's ear still looking at him with love and passion in his eyes.
