*Matt's P.O.V.*

It has been a year since the day my life has had no meaning. A monument was built where Tai died. Tai became a hero because of what happened. Today was the memorial to remember him. I didn't want to go but kari asked me so I could be there for her. As I was getting dressed the vision of Tai dying was replaying itself over and over. Ever since the day he died I've had the same nightmare almost every night.

Agumon took it the hardest. Without Tai around Agumon began fading away and eventually died. Kari has sunk in and out of depression and I've never sang the same since. As he was trying to hold back his tears he heard a knock on the door. He answered it and it was Kari.

"Hey Matt." Kari said with puffy cheeks from her recent crying.

"Hey Kari." Matt replied and gave her a hug. "Where's your parents?"

"They said that they coudn't handle it. Are you sure you can too?"

"Yeah. i think that this is the least I can do." matt said as he picked up his car keys and slipped on his shoes. "Let's go so we can get this done and over with."

"Right." replied Kari.

When they got there the first thing they saw was the marble monument. He saw the other Digidesitined standing by the monument talking to people who were giving their condolences.

The service was nice, I guess. The minister spoke about how Tai was: 'Young smart, and like a guardian angel over the town'. After the minister was done they asked me to give a speech. As I stepped up to the microphone. I spoke from my heart about my love.

"Tai was a great friend. One that some people wish for everyday, He was open minded and loved his friends and family more than life itself. Now that he is no longer with us, it is still hard to live without him but we must go on so we can help others in his place." Tears were starting to fall freely from his eyes. "I loved Taichi Yagami with all my heart and he will always be here with us all."

He turned around and looked at the monument which said:

Taichi Yagami
A Son, A Brother, A Friend, and A Love Forever Lost

The Crest of Courage was on the monument above his name, as Matt replayed what Taichi said to him.
'I Love you Yama and I'll always be with you.'

'I know Tai' He thought to himself as he held a pouch around his neck with the shattered pieced of Tai's Tag and Crest inside.
