Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Too many to count on ❯ The Strangest day in Camp ( Chapter 1 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Summer camp isn't always what you think it is.

Tai was up in a tree, practicing his times tables, when, the next second later, he wasn't in a tree anymore. Poor Tai, living in dreamland right now, was missing all the fun.

His friend, Izzy, was on his laptop, trying to see what was happening all around the world. Matt and his brother, T.K, had just noticed some snow falling down. Sora was persuading Mimi to try and touch a frog she found in the pond. And Joe was coming back from a phone call he just made home.

Now Tai woke up when some snow dropped on his nose. Sora and Mimi shrugged when a flake of snow dropped on the frog and it jumped away. Matt and T.K were a bit scared, but T.K always felt better when his brother was there. Joe got a little hysterical.

“AAAAAHH! AAAAAHH!” he screamed. “It just can't snow in summer camp! Hey, Mimi! It's snowing!”

Mimi looked at him with great surprise. “But, it just can't snow on my new pink shoes and hat!!!”

Sora shrugged. “It doesn't matter you guys, as long as we all stick together.”

“According to the news on the internet, it's not snowing anywhere else except here, at camp. The transmitter online doesn't even pick it up. I can't believe -“

“SHUT UP, IZZY!” everyone shouted.

Tai climbed down from his tree. “I think it came from over there.” He pointed to a small hill, slightly away from the camp.

“Well, we better go see what's up.” Matt said, running a hand through his hair.

They all marched their way across the bridge. T.K was the first to reach the hill.

“Hey guys!” he shouted. “Come look over here.”

Everyone ran to the hill.

“What is it, T.K?” Matt asked.

“Wait...” he whispered.

He looked up to the sky.

“There they come.” He pointed at 12 small shooting stars, making their way to the ground.

“They're after us!” Mimi shrieked.

The tiny comets were making a very strong landing toward the hill.

“Everyone back up!” Sora screamed.

CRASH.

“Sssssshh...” someone whispered.

T.K pointed his finger to the ground

Tai looked down. There were 12 small holes on the ground. 7 of them were right in front of each person.

The comets rose from the holes. They looked like small gadgets. Tai caught one. So did everyone else.

“Prodigious!” Izzy exclaimed looking at the gadget in the sunlight. “I don't even know what this is.”

“But what are those 5 extra for?” Joe said.

5 extra gadget holes were still in the ground.

“Hey! Look!” Matt said, pointing to five small second graders, running toward the hill.

“T.K, do you know them?” Tai asked.

T.K ran towards them.

“Hi Davis, hi Yolei, hi Cody, hi Ken, hi Kari-“

“KARI?!?!”

Tai made his way over.

“Kari what are you doing here? I thought you went to some other camp?!”

“I did. This is some other camp. Some other camp for me, but not for you.” She said, happily.

Tai was red in the face. “This was supposed to be fun!”

“Don't worry, Tai,” Matt said. “At least you're older than your sister.”

Tai sighed, angrily. “Fine. Go get your gadgets, you midgets.”

The 5 kids were confused.

“What?” Yolei asked. “What gadgets?”

“Umm... Let me show you over.” T.K said quietly.

Tai and Matt went over to with the big kids. Tai's fist was shaking in the air. “Once they get their gadget things, they'll probably come over here.” Tai said grumpily.

The six kids each had a gadget in their hand, and T.K lead them over.

“So, where do we go now?” asked Mimi asked.

Their question was soon answered.

I know, I know, this isn't the greatest fic ever made. Hey, it's my first one! I promise that it'll get better. PROMISE! Well, it will by chapter four or something, anyway.
