Part One: "The New Objective"
The night sky hovered above the digidestined group. They were covered up in their sleeping blankets, off into a deep sleep; all except Matt. He felt terrible about what happened to their leader Taichi Kamiya. Matt sighed out as he stood up and walked to the lake, looking at the reflection of the cresent moon in the calm waters.
"This is all my fault. I should have not judged Tai like that. It wasn't right. Now we only have 48 hours until...." He became silent for a few minuets. "Until that jerk Myotismon destroys his soul and then Tai will really die."
<Flashback>
"Tai! NO! Don't go PLEASE!" Sora yelled out threw her tears of pain.
Everyone cried. Their friend, leader, and the Master, died before their very eyes.
"Myotismon will pay for what he's done to Tai!" Matt hollered as he punched the bark of the tree.
"Tai is gone..." Kari screamed threw her cries and sobs.
Gatomon tried to comfort her, but she needed comforting herself.
Sora was right. Tai's transformation hurt them deeply. It hurt their hearts.
Soon, laughter echoed in the air.
"I know that laughter! Come out and show yourself coward!!" Matt hollered, his furious eyes looking about to locate him.
Near the digidestined, appeared the vampire digimon, laughing evily and successfully. "At last, the Master of Courage is mine!"
"Yours? He is dead!" Sora yelled through her tears.
"Oh but you see, he isn't really dead. In the digital world, nothing is dead, until the time runs out that is."
"Time running out? I don't understand any of your mumbo-jumbo!" Kari said after wiping a tear away and glancing at Myotismon evily.
"You'll find out right now my worthy foes. Watch this!" he cried out. He put his hands together in a chanting postion. He closed his eyes and chanted a little phrase over and over again. He said it so low, that the digidestined and the digimon couldn't hear it at all.
"What is going on? What is he doing?!" T.K. asked as he backed up near his big brother.
Matt looked closely at the monster digimon. A pure black aroura was looming over Myotismon and Tai. His blue eyes were gazing at the young leader. "Whats happening to Tai?" he whispered.
Myotismon smircked as he opened his eyes, and with a flick of his wrist, the body of Tai started to go transparent.
The group gasped out loud as they spotted, now floating in the air, the soul of Tai.
"You see?" Myostismon hollered out. "You don't just die. Your soul lives on. At least until 48 hours. "
Sora looked up at Tai, or his soul. "Why bother with him, Myotismon? He is already dead."
Myotismon looked at the young girl, with a grin. "Well, since he is now a lifeless soul, I will put his soul within me. With the Master of Courage's soul along with my extraordinary powers, taking over this digital world will be a peice of cake!" he laughed out.
Tai's soul groaned out a bit. The group heard this as they saw
Tai's eyes opening up slowly.
"Wh-WHere am I?" Tai asked slowly. He didn't feel any of the pain given to him.
"Tai..." Kari sobbed. She didn't want to see him like this. It just seemed to painful to the little girl.
Tai saw her younger sister crying. He flew down to her, wiping a tear from her cheek. "Don't cry Kari."
Myotismon made a grimaced face at looking at the sister brother bondage. "Enough of this. You belong to me now, Master of Courage!" he yelled as he flew in the air.
Agumon couldn't just stand around like this anymore. He looked up at the vampire and used his pepper breath to try to bring the digimon down to his knees. Myotismon saw this and used his crimson lightning attack, hitting the attack and Agumon as well.
"Agumon!" Tai shouted. He flew to his digifriend, kneeling down at him. "You ok?"
Agumon nodded slightly. "Sorry Tai, I tried."
"It's ok buddy."
Matt became furious. "Alright time to digivolve you guys!"
The humans nodded as the digimon leapt in front of the group of humans and Agumon, turning into their Ultimates.
"Attack!" WereGarurumon howled out as the group charged at Myotismon.
Myotismon smircked. "You think you can defeat me? Crimson Lightning!"
With one crack of the red whip, Zudomon and MagnaAngemon were down before they could even dodge the attack.
"Zudomon!" Joe cried out.
"Oh no! MagnaAngemon!" T. K. yelled.
"Wing Blade!"
"Flower Cannon!"
"Wolf Claw!"
The three attacks flew into Myotismon, making a huge cloud of smoke surrounding the digimon.
"Did we get him?" Mimi asked as she looked a bit scared.
Evil laughter loomed in the air as a swarm of bats flew, attacking Garudamon and Lillymon in the air. The two digimon tried to slap them away, but soon a red light came and hit Lillymon, sending her flying down to the ground.
"Lillymon!" Mimi screamed as she ran to her companion, who was now Palmon again.
"Does that answer your question?" Matt said as he looked angered even more.
Myotismon flew at the occupied Garudamon, sending a powerful punch to her face. The bird digimon screamed in pain as she flew down to the ground, and turning back to Biyomon.
"Oh no!" Sora yelled as she ran to her digimon.
WereGarurumon and Angewomon looked at Myotismon with fury.
"Looks like that this will be a breeze!" Myotismon laughed.
"Celestial Arrow!"
The arrow appeared in Angewomon's hands, shooting it at the digimon. Myotismon dodged the attack, but a little slash on his arm appeared on him.
"You'll pay for that Angel! Crimson Lightning!" Myotismon shouted as he made his whip appear.
Angewomon saw this and flew in the air, getting away from the attack.
"Wolf Claw!" WereGarurumon shouted. His attack flew at Myotismon, hitting him dead on.
"Alright! Way to go!" Matt cheered.
Myotismon clenched his chest. The wound wasn't massive. "Ok enough games. Time to get what I so humbly desire!"
Tai heard this and flew to Sora. "Sora, listen. In order to make me alive again, you must revive my shaddered crest of Courage. It is the only way." he whispered to her with a concerned look.
Before Sora could ask how, a transparent black sphere appeared around the soul of Tai, holding him in there.
"Myotismon! Leave him alone!" Matt hollered.
Sora looked at Tai sadly. She felt powerless.
Tai was slamming on the sphere. "Let me out!" Tai shouted through the black circular dungeon.
Myotismon cackled out as he looked at his prized posession. "You know, I will be a sport. Digidestined, you have 48 hours to come to my glorious humble abode and save you precious leader. If you do not, then his soul will belong to me. Farewell!" and with that, Myotsimon and the soul of Tai flew into the distance.
"Tai! No!" Kari yelled out to her brother.
Sora looked down at the shaddered crest of Courage in her hands. "I will revive you as soon as I can."
<End Flashback>
"Well, since Sora told us about what Tai said to her, we might have a chance to help him. But how are we gonna revive the Crest of Courage?" Matt asked himself as he stood up. "Well, can't help Tai if I doze off in battle." he whispered as he walked back to the camp site, covered up in his sleeping bag, and drifted off to sleep.
