Twenty-four Hours

Chapter Six: Time's up

Lee whipped the tears off his face with his wrist band. Why can't the pain just go away? He didn't want to have to push his boyfriend away like that but he had no choice if he where going to find the right Takato.

"Come on, Lee, momentie. We'll find Takato."

The young tamer sighed not even looking a head with he felt someone brush against his shoulder. He turned and came face to face with brown chocolate sad eyes and he didn't have his goggles.

"I'm very sorry .... Lee? Oh my god is that you?"

"Yea it's me."

Time seamed to slow down as they looked at each other. The brown haired tamer's expression changed to pure sadness as he flung himself into Lee's arms causing Terriermon to fall off his tamers shoulder on to the ground with a thud. Gulimon stepped up and asked if he was all right.

"I can't believe it! You're here! You kept your promise to me! You came back!" Said this-other-world-Takato gently rubbing his cheek against Lee's.

"Takato .... I ...."

The other boy's physical contact was starting to overwhelm Lee. He really wanted to hold Takato and say that he loved him but he knew that he shouldn't do that; it would break both of their hearts after he left. This-other-world-Takato has all ready look like he's been threw a lot.

"What's wrong, Lee-chan?" The brown haired tamer asked with concern and sadness in his eyes.

"I .... I can't tell you. It will make the matter worse ...."

"You can tell me anything, Lee-chan .... you don't have to be a fried of me ... I would never hurt you." This-other-world-Takato running his thumb along the other boys cheek bone.

The dark-haired tamer's heart started to beat really fast as he tried to control his breathing but it was hard since his love was standing right there looking at him and touching him softly. Just then a dull soft light came out of the ground as ripples could be seen.

"Lee, we have to go."

The young tamer looked at this watch as his eyes widen with pure shock as fear started to grip his heart. Lee shook his head.

"Lee, we have to go!" Terriermon said more hastily.

"Go? Where ever you're going take me with you."

"I wish I could, Takato-chan but can't."

"Why not? Why can't I come with you?"

"I'm sorry Takato-chan ... but I have to go." Lee responded as his boyfriend shook his head with great pain his eyes.

"No! I won't let you! I don't want to lose you again," This-other-world-Takato chocked holding his love close.

"Takato-chan, I'm running out of time ..... you have to let me go ....."

"I don't understand," This-other-world-Takato chocked with great pain in his eyes, "what did I do to make you leave?"

"You did nothing wrong, okay. This is something I have to do alone, okay?"

This-other-world-Takato closed his eyes as he let his hands drop to his sides when he felt slender hands lifted his head up. He opened his eyes to see his love leaning in and kissing him. The one thing that they didn't notice was that their D-Ar's where glowing and a beam of dull soft white light had surrounded them.

"Huh?"

"What's going on?" Takato asked looking around.

"Oh-no! This was not suppose to happen .... we're being sucked into another detention ..."

"It doesn't matter ... as long as we are here together ..."

"Yes .... but I failed you ... I came to find my Takato and bring him back before he was lost for ever ..."

"But you did ... you found him ...." Takato said gently.

"H ... how would you know that ...." Lee gasped.

"Who else would come after him ..... now it's time to wake up ..."

Right then there was a great flash of light again so bright that Lee and Terriermon had no choice but cover his eyes ....

"Hey, Lee! Wake up!"

The young tamer slowly opened his eyes to see the rest of the group standing round including his father and little sister. He sat up got to his feet and started to run to the church. The others frown when both took off running without saying anything.

Lee opened the door and slowly walked in to the main room where Takato's body lay. Part of Lee felt more alive and part of him still felt dead inside. He looked down at his boyfriends lifeless body as he leaned closer and kissed him on the lips.

The other boy slowly opened his eyes. Takato's eyes where blurry at first until he blinked twice to see Lee looking at him softly.

"Hi Lee-chan." He responded softly touching the other boy's face.

"Hi ... Takato ... chan." Said Lee as tears of joy streamed down his face.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying?"

"... I missed you ... that's all." Lee smiled.
