Chapter 1: The Beginning
A.N. Goku never died in the fight with Radditz, but Gohan is still training with Piccolo.
“…” Talking
‘…’ Thinking
“Mamma, where are we going?” a young Saiyin about 4 years old asked. The woman decided to tell her, she would know soon enough anyway. “Helena, you’re going to have to take a little trip in a space pod, ok?” “But I don’t wanna take a trip! I wanna play with Veggie-kun!”
While they walked down the long hallway, Helena trying to ignore her mother as much as possible, they passed by another one of her best friends, Mizuki. Mizuki had a really solemn face and there was sadness in her eyes. Helena struggled to get out of her mother’s grasp, and when she did she ran over to Mizuki and they hugged each other like they would never see each other again. Of course, they didn’t know that they would never see each other again.
When they got into the room with the space pods, Helena was quickly shoved into one. The door closed and she started trying to push it open, but it was useless. She spotted her best friend Vegeta, and she watched as he struggled uselessly to try and get to her. At least she knew that one person still wanted her around. Then, they yelled each other’s names out as the space pod took off, “Vegeta!” “Helena!” Though, only Vegeta heard her.
I am Helena, and this is my story.

My POV
I’m about twenty years old, have long black hair, and wear blue contacts, since my real eye color is black. I was walking home from my part time job, and I was mumbling to myself. “I could have gone to Texas A&M but Nooooo. My adopted father,” I spat out with venom, “wouldn’t pay for tuition, and then he moved us to Japan, which is pretty cool. . .” I rambled as I walked into the house. I didn’t see my father in the living room, so I assumed the worst. ‘Oh crap. What did I do this time?’ I walked into my room seeing my abusive father closing the blinds. He was walking over to me, hand raised, so I tilted my head down, waiting for the blow. I was suddenly pushed back harshly into my full-length mirror hanging on my door. I almost cried out in pain when I felt the shards of glass go deep in my skin, but I caught myself just in time. I wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of letting him know how much it hurt. In the last five years I had begun to act like Vegeta, a guy from one of my favorite TV shows Dragon Ball Z. He was about to do something else to hurt me, but before he had the chance, the doorbell rang. “You got lucky, this time.” He said as he brushed harshly past me to get to the door.
I quickly jumped out the window the best I could and started walking out of the city to where Maria, my best friend since seventh grade, lived ignoring all the stares I was getting from my bleeding back. She had moved to Japan long ago and had gotten a job as an anime artist.
I had finally gotten out of the city, and it wasn’t that long until I reached her house. As I was walking, I suddenly had flashbacks of my life (my real one). I felt myself falling as the world suddenly went black.
