Chapter:4 Discoveries
Sasuke ran 30 miles out from Konoha before he realized that he was just traveling in a random direction. He stopped and glance behind him, noticing the distance between him and his former home. In order to catch Itachi, Sasuke decided to become a missing nin like him. Picking a random tree, he jumped down and meditated to calm himself. He could tell he was emitting alot of energy, which would be like a beacon for those hiding from him and those searching for him. He released a sigh and opened his eyes. The immense power he felt had resonated deep within him, another cry echoing his own. He felt as if he was on the verge of being reborn into something new. Concentrating, he put himself in a trance, one designed to mask him from all and allow him the time he need to search within himself for answers.
Slowly he sorted through his memories, identifying those that were truly his and those that belong to..Jiro? 'So...Jiro is married to Mara..I..think I almost lost myself to him...but how? How did I gain his memories. I guess its safe to say the same happened to him. I wonder if I gained his abilities as well...hmm. From his memories, I can tell he is a much different type of fighter than I would find here. Perhaps...hmm...These abilities of his...extrodinary...he flies...he emits energy in concentrated beams and balls...his aura towards the end of his memory..its different. It changed my aura as well..I wonder...it seems to be tied to emotion, much as my curse seal.' Sasuke awoke from his trance by a feeling of intense hunger. He HAD left the hospital without eating and Tsunade-sama said that it had been 3 days... He jumped out the tree and left insearch of food, deciding to set up a small camp here for the moment. After setting up a perimeter, he ate the game he had caught and put himself into a light trance, allowing him to sleep, yet still be alert.
When Sasuke awoke later, he took most of the morning to make plans. He left for The Land of Waves, a land mostly uninhabitied by ninja and went to work setting up a permanant camp. Using the money he still carried on him, he bought some supplies and cleared an area for his camp. He set up traps around his camp, and fixed up his camp. This took the remainder of the day. He was still recovering from his chakra depletion and the surge of power he had felt previously had deserted him for the moment, so he took this time to rest. The next day, Sasuke set about learning more about Jiro and his abilites through his memories. Everyday he felt changes going on throughout his body. He supposed that it was his body adjusting to the new abilites and strength that he had gained. His physical strength had increased to the point where he could easily rival Tsunade-sama in terms of strength and his body had hardened to the point where his kunai was unable to pierce his skin. His hearing and sight had increased as well. But there was something else that had changed in him. He felt as if there was a hidden power buried within him, presumably Jiro's, that he could not tap into. Nothing he tried worked.
One day, while out hunting, Sasuke was attacked by two samurai and a couple of genin level ninja, a group of bandits. He was so absorbed in his thoughts that he did not realize the danger until it was almost too late. He threw himself to the right and then jump straight up in the air, flipping to cling feet first to a tree limb. Looking up, rather down for them, he spotted the two samurai stand with their swords poised as if attacking invisible people. Sensing another attack coming, Sasuke dropped down to the ground, and immediately attacked the nearest samurai, dashing at him. As he flew at the samurai, he pulled a kunai out and met the samurai's sword with his kunai. He planted a explosive tag on the blade and jumped back intime to avoid a suprise attack by the second samurai. Jumping back an extra 10 feet he watch with an amused smirk as the tag blew the samurai away, destroying the sword in the process. The 1st samurai was covered in soot and small burn marks. It seemed they realzied the dandger almost to late and still manage to escape, as the 2nd samurai was still clean.
Pulling a few smaller kunai out, Sasuke tossed 2 at the tree to the right of him, causing the ninja to jump to avoid the attack. He activated his Sharingan, almost unconciously holding the curse seal at bay, and went on the attack. Quickly forming hand seals he called out, "Fire style! Fire Flower no jutsu!" He blew multiple fireballs at the bandits, watching as one samurai used an air attack to blow out the fire coming his way, only to be cut to ribbons by the kunai hidden in the flames. The other samurai pulled out a shorter sword and use it to protect himself from flaming kunai. At the same time, one ninja called out, "Water style! Water Dragon Missle!" This blocked the remaining flames and washed away the kunai. "Hahaha! Die you piece of shit!" Shouted the ninja. Sasuke only grinned and formed hand seals. "Fire Style! Grand Fireball no jutsu!" He blew out a steady stream of flames, turning the water dragon into a huge cloud of steam.
As soon as the last of the water evaporated, Sasuke appeared silently behind the attacking ninja and stabbed him in the back of the neck with a stray kunai, then he was on the 1st samurai, using his own short sword to kill him. The other ninja had hidden himself in the mist and watched, waiting for an opportunity. The remaining samurai blew the mist away and attacked Sasuke. Weilding the the sword sword he 'liberated' from its owner, he fended off the samurai's lightning quick attacks. Throwing the sword at the samurai who dodged left only to trip a trap set by Sasuke while hidden in the mist, he watched in satisfaction as the samurai was pierced by multiple kunai and shuriken. Shrugging, he looked around and suddenly glanced in the direction of the remaining ninja, the killing intent in his gaze freezin the ninja where he was.
Sasuke appeared next to him, a kunai to his neck. "So..who are you and what do you want..?" "M..my name is..S-Shinai..we were only going to rob you...you didn't have to kill us...we would h-have let you go." Sasuke grinned. "I don't like liars..I kill them.." "P-please! Don't kill me!" Begged Shinai. Sasuke sighed and knocked him out. The redness of the sharingan faded to the black of his normal eye color. With another sigh, Sasuke raided the dead bodies and the unconcious ninja. Finding a surprising amount of money on them as well as plenty of supplies nearby, he leaves them where they lay and heads back to his camp to plan his next move.
