CHAPTER 11

"That was a hard day of work," Lita said, dragging herself into the temple, Amy and Raye trailing close behind. They didn't say anything, but they obviously agreed. They walked into the living room and laid down, sprawled out across the sofas. "Let's not do that again, okay?" she pleaded to Goku, who shook his head.

"I would have had you guys train more, but I didn't think you could take it," he replied as he looked at Gohan and Videl. They sighed. This was going to be harder than they had thought.

"In the rain?! It's pouring out there!" Amy stated desperately.

"Where's Serena?" Raye asked, looking around for her friend. "I thought she would have came back by now. There's no way she could last longer in training than us." Raye laughed, but still didn't know where she was.

"She won't be back until late tonight…" Gohan said.

"Or until Vegeta gets hungry," came a voice from the doorway. Bulma stood there with Chichi behind her, giggling. They held about ten bags each of clothing and food. "This is all we had time for. It started raining in town so we came back. We also bought a lot of food." Chichi held up the food bags, then set them down.

"You didn't have to buy any food, especially so much. We have plenty of food here…" Raye trailed off, in a daze over the amount of food they had bought.

"Enough for three grown Saiyans?" Chichi raised an eyebrow. Bulma seemed unconvinced, but shrugged anyway, setting her bags of food onto a counter in the kitchen. She poked her head back out.

"This food will only last about a meal for them," she added thoughtfully. Chichi went into the kitchen and started unpacking the groceries.

"I'll start making the food," she said, smiling at the what the scouts' faces would look like when they saw the Saiyans eat. "It'll be about two-to-three hours before it'll be done. Go relax and take a nice, warm bath."

They nodded and left the room. They all eagerly took their showers and got dressed. Soon, they met up with the women again.

"It'll be another hour," Bulma simply said.

"Do you do this every night?" Lita asked. She had to feed Serena and the girls before, but never with so much food. "I can help." She volunteered. Chichi and Bulma gratefully accepter her offer, handing her some vegetables to wash, and then some potatoes to peel. Amy and Raye left to go watch the news. When they got there, Goku and his son were already watching it.

"…Just in…five major cities on the Atlantic coast of the US had been burned to ashes…no survivors found…the fires are spreading quicker than ever. If this keeps up, the whole world will be in a disastrous drought…" Goku turned to the two girls.

"I think we all need to talk…" he sighed. He hadn't really faced an enemy like Kakou. The last threat they faced was Majin Buu, and they could defeat him by fusing and going SSJ3. He might have gone around the world and destroyed it, but he didn't cause massive outbreaks of fire and kidnap people. "Those crystals…tell me about them. What happens if you get them all and put them in one place?"

"I'm not really sure, but I think the moon princess will come forth," Amy answered.

"And will this princess be able to stop Kakou?" Gohan asked the question his father was getting to. They shrugged.

"We don't know…Luna would know though. Do you think she's awake?" Raye asked Amy. "I'll go check." She left the room and came back a few minutes later with a small black cat in her arms. Goku stared down at the delicate creature.

"This is Luna?" Goku gently reached a hand under her and picked her up. "What happened to her?"

"We don't really know. Serena was the one that found her, but we know it has something to do with Kakou," Raye turned to Amy. "I think we should go get Sere-"

"No!" Goku said in a final, firm tone. "Vegeta knows what he's doing. Let them be." Amy and Raye, taken aback from his outburst, could only nod. Goku turned towards the door and stared in the direction where he could sense Vegeta's ki. The scouts could tell that their trainer had a deep respect for Vegeta, though it wasn't because he was the prince.

Goku's face suddenly brightened.

"How could I forget?! The sensu beans!" The girls stared quizzically at him as he reached into his boot and pulled out a little bag and took out a little bean. He cut it in half.

"What can that do?" Amy asked, taking out her little blue computer that Luna had given her and analyzed the bean, with Gohan looking curiously over her shoulder.

Goku popped it into Luna's mouth and started rubbing her throat to get her to swallow it. Luna stirred slightly, making Amy and Raye gasp.

"She's waking up!" Raye exclaimed, peering down at the cat. "What was that you gave her? Some sort of medication?" Goku looked thoughtful for a moment, then nodded.

"Sort of…it restores your energy and heals your wounds," Gohan explained. He watched as Amy typed at her mini, handheld computer. She entered the data that she had received.

"Here kitty kitty…" Goku softly petted the cat's fur.

"Serena?" Luna asked, slowly opening her eyes, only to be stared at by a smiling man with wild, jet-black hair. She jolted up and hissed at the Goku, biting down on him hard.

Goku, shocked, yelped and shook his arm up and down in an attempt to free himself. Luna held on tight, and when Goku stopped moving his arm, Luna hung down from it.

"Luna!!" Raye screeched, astonished that she bit him. "Oh I'm so sorry about that Goku!"
