Ch. 5

This chapter is on the battle bewtween the two hunters and Bio-Ridley.

"Samus! Look out!"

Samus dove out of the way just before Bio-Ridley's flame attack hit her.

"Eat this!!" Michael fired a charged Electric Beam at Bio-Ridley's head, but the beast only deflected it away.

"Damn!!" shouted Michael.

Bio-Ridley then unleashed its rockets which followed both Samus and Michael. Michael was a little more prepared, though, as he fired a plasma shot in the air, causing the missles to follow it.

"Good thinking Michael!!" shouted Samus as she too fired Plasma beam shots in the air.

When all the missles were no more, Bio-Ridley fired a shot of acid at Michael; it hit his visor, causing part of it to corrode and fall off.

"Samus! I lost my visor!!"

"There's a spare! There's a button on your cannon!" said Samus as Michael found it, causing another visor to appear.

Bio-Ridley, however, had all the upgrades nessecary for an ultamite fight. Bio-Ridley fired more missles from its launchers.

"Samus! We can't stay on the defensive! If we don't find a way to damage it, then this thing will never end! We need to find a weakness! Try scanning it!" shouted Michael

"I'll try!" Samus scanned it, but the pirates had downloaded a scanner-blocker, which negated Samus's scanner.

"Well?!"

"My scanner doesn't work on it! They must've got it a scanner-blocker!"

"There's got to be a way..." Michael kept dodging the assualts while Samus kept firing at Bio-Ridley.

Then, after much watching, Michael noticed something about Bio-Ridley: when it fired its flamethrower, its mouth would open, and it would stay open for a split second after it finished firign its flamethrower. Michael got an idea.

"Samus! When I tell you to fire, fire your Ice Beam right at the motherfuckers mouth!!"

"Okay!!"

Bio-Ridley fired its flamethrower, and Samus easily dodged it.

"Now!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Samus fired a charged Ice Beam shot, causing Ridley's mouth to partially freeze. In reality, that was its mask that was cracking.

"Good!! Its working! When that beam hits its mouth, the change in temperature causes a malfunction in its mask design! It causes it to rupture slightly!" said Michael.

"Got it!!"

Samus repeated this process several more times, then finally...

<Crack>

<Explosion>

"Yeah!! Its mask is gone!!" cheered Michael.

"Now its face is vulnerable!" shouted Samus.

Samus and Michael didn't waste any time exploiting its weakness; firing multiple charged beam shots of various kinds at Bio-Ridley's face.

Bio-Ridley roared in pain, but Bio-Ridley had one more sinister surprise in store for the two bounty hunters: cloaking.

Bio-Ridley turned on its cloaking device, becoming completely invisible to the naked eye. However, to two thoroughly perpared bounty hunters, it was nothing new, at least that what they THOUGHT.

Although Samus and Michael turned on their X-Ray scanners, Bio-Ridley did not appear.

"Shit! They must've added a scanner scrambler! It negates X-Ray scanning!" Shouted Michael.

Despite the apparent disadvantage, Bio-Ridley over-powered and out-smarted the two bounty hunters.

Then, Bio-Ridley did the worst thing it possibly could do.

"Samus! Look out!!!" Michael tried to warn Samus, but it was too late; Bio-Ridley had already dug its claws deep into Samus's chest, puncturing her back.

"Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!"

Samus glared at Bio-Ridley, and Bio-Ridley gave an evil grin at Samus. Samus was hung in the air by Bio-Ridley's claws, blood pouring out through her open wound.

"Samus!!!!!"

"You...Will...b...b..b.burn!!! You Bastard!" Samus choughed out blood, and Bio-Ridley just stood there, that evil, heartless glare just staring a hole deep into her.

Michael couldn't do anything but stare at the scene, totally powerless before the monstrosity in front of him.

Finally, Bio-Ridley dug his claws through her heart, and Samus looked at Michael, wide-eyed, as if saying "Please, don't fail me...". Michael watched as Bio-Ridley threw Samus down on the ground, her lifeless form.

Michael looked at Samus for a while, then turned his gaze towards Bio-Ridley, who just looked at him as if tempting him to try him.

"Samus told me for the first time to do something for her, I won't let her down! I won't give up!!" Michael charged up his Plasma beam combined with a Wave Beam shot at Bio-Ridley's head. The resulting explosion caused Bio-Ridley's head to blow up.

Michael was flown back, and blacked-out when he hit the ground. The last coherent words were "Samus...I...did it..."
