The sounds of pots and pans were clanging in the kitchen as Bulma's eyes fluttered open to stare into the kitchen door. She only saw a shadow moving about in there but could still hear the sounds. It sounded like someone was cooking, the only other person on the ship was Vegeta and she knew as well as anyone that Vegeta didn't cook, or did he? She got up, groaning to herself, rubbing her head as she rose. She looked back into the kitchen and heard the water running. She sighed and got up, feeling the spandex clothes she had on rub up against her skin. She walked to the kitchen door and peeked inside to see Vegeta standing at the stove watching something on it. She then saw the box of tea sitting next to him and she let out a smirk.
"I had no idea that you drank tea Vegeta." Bulma said, placing a hand on her hip and leaning against the doorframe as Vegeta looked in her direction. He grunted and turned back to the stove.
"You don't know anything about me so don't say a word."
"What do you like with your tea?" She asked. Vegeta turned and cocked an eyebrow towards her as she crossed her arms, staring at him.
"Honey. Why do you care?"
"Because I can." She said walking into the kitchen. She grabbed the box of tea bags and picked one up. She grabbed a pot from the cabinet and walked to the sink and filled it up with water, than walked over to the stove and stood next to him in the small kitchen. Vegeta glared at her as she turned on the oven and stood in front of it. She turned to see Vegeta glaring and cocked an eyebrow.
"What is it Vegeta?" She asked. He grunted, than let out a small smirk.
"You know you talk in your sleep?" Bulma looked a bit confused at his question. Did she really talk in her sleep? Maybe he was just saying that because he's Vegeta and likes to make things up.
"Are you serious? Or are you lying like you always do?"
"Why does everyone think I lie?" He asked.
"Because you do Vegeta. No one believes that you are a Prince and no one believes a word you say including me." Bulma stated, moving her pot of water so it would swish around. He sighed and stared down at his pot of water that began to boil.
"You said that I wasn't a bad person, that I could be sweet deep down inside." Bulma's eyes grew wide as her head turned towards him. She looked shocked a bit as he took his pot off of the stove and walked it over to the counter, grabbing a cup from the cupboard.
"I-I really said that?" She asked him. She DID recall herself saying such things, but in her dream. She was in a dare to tell the truth to every one for a day and she told him that he could be sweet and that he wasn't a bad person, but that only resulted in them kissing on her bedroom floor. She didn't think that she actually told him. Her water came to a boil as she ignored it and stared at Vegeta as he put his honey in his tea. He stirred the liquid with a small spoon and glanced to see Bulma staring at him. He nodded his head and tapped the spoon against the cups rim.
"I don't tell many lies woman, you and everyone else just think I do because I'm stubborn and selfish." Bulma chuckled with his last remark and picked up her burning pot and turned off the stove. She walked to the opposite side of the small kitchen and set her pot down. She turned to reach for a cup as she ran into Vegeta's chest. He had turned around to grab some sugar on her side when he ran into her. He kept his serious look on his face as Bulma blushed a bit from the bump. She chuckled and took a side step to get her cup. Vegeta reached for the sugar and turned around to his cup again. Bulma sighed softly and went back to her cup and smiled at the warm water in the pot. She felt Vegeta's body move and heard the door open and his footsteps leave the room. She groaned at his leaving and poured her water into her cup. She placed her bag in the water and set the pot in the sink, then left the room. She found Vegeta sitting at the small table sipping his tea. He had his feet on the chair in front of him and looked really relaxed the way he was. Bulma decided not to bother him and grabbed a rolling chair from the side of her and sat down. She rolled up to the table and sipped on her tea and sighed. She looked at Vegeta who had his eyes closed and looked like he was deep in thought. She set her cup down and coughed to get his attention.
"Uh, Vegeta, how come there are only men's cloths in here?" She asked, placing a hand on her loose training shirt. Vegeta opened his eyes and looked at her.
"Because I had no idea that I would be stuck in here with a stupid woman like you." He said, taking another sip of his tea. She growled softly at him and slammed her fist on the table.
"I'm a whole hell if a lot smarter than you Vegeta."
"Oh really? Well wasn't it you who got us stuck in here in the first place?" Vegeta exclaimed taking another sip of his tea. Bulma blinked a few times and grunted.
"Fine, you win Vegeta." She said, crossing her arms across her chest. Vegeta chuckled against his cup, making Bulma cock an eyebrow in confusion.
"What?" She asked. Vegeta set his cup down and glanced up to her.
"Just the image of you talking about foolish things in your sleep is enough for me to think that you're insane woman." Vegeta said. Vegeta let out a smile and let out a small laugh.
"Well I guess It's a bit funny. But my dream was not, you have no idea what I was dreaming about so I wouldn't,"
"Something about an explosion." Vegeta said, taking yet another sip from his cup. Bulma paused in amazement that he actually knew that.
"H-how,"
"You told me in your sleep. You said I helped you with something, but I was injured from an explosion." Bulma blinked a few times. What he was saying was true again. Before they shared that kiss in her dream, there had been an explosion and he got injured. She was working on a project when he decided to help her out, that's how they became so close. She really did not want that to happen in real life so she tried shrugging the thought away from her mind.
"I need to go."
"Where? There's no where to go." Vegeta said after her as she got up, leaving the room.
"I just, need to go to a place to think for a while." Bulma said walking towards the ladder. Vegeta grunted.
"Hm, a place to run, your own private place." Vegeta stated. Bulma stopped in her tracks and turned around to stare at the back of his head. He set down his cup and sighed. Bulma blinked a few times, then smiled, knowing that she couldn't keep anything from him.
"Yes Vegeta, a place to run. My own place to get away from your stupid ass." Vegeta turned slowly to face her and her smirking face. He growled and got up, stalking towards her. Bulma crossed her arms and looked him straight in the eye as he stopped in front of her and balled his hands into fists.
"Never call me stupid woman. I'm much smarter than you think."
"Oh really? Then prove it." Vegeta lowered his eyes at her and growled again.
"How on Earth do you want me to do that?" He asked. Bulma smirked and walked away into the bedroom. Vegeta stood staring into the blank room, only seeing her shadow move about in the room. She emerged out of the room with something in her hand. She shoved it into Vegeta's chest and smirked.
"Fix that for me. I can't seem to figure out what's wrong with it, maybe you and your smart brain can figure it out." She stated. She walked to the ladder ad started her way out of the bottom deck, leaving Vegeta in the dining room with this, contraption in his hands. He looked down to see the object and sighed.
"She's trying to make a new bot. How pathetic. All she needs to do is move this wire over here and move some other things around and it should work fine." He stated. He walked to the table and set down the robot and stared down at it. He huffed, thinking that the stupid woman though he was smarter than he was, well, in books and schooling she was, but technical things, he would prove her wrong. He walked over to a small drawer and pulled out a small tool box, then walked it back over to the table and began to work.
