Amy stops and coasts down to a small island.

A- Ow. No. wait. It doesn't hurt. /What's up with my head? I knew I should've got some senzu beans from Nicole. Maybe my energy's running low./

She finds a big rock.

A- /I think I'll try my left hand this time./

She uses her left hand to form an energy blast and blows up the rock.

A- YEAH! I will *never* get tired of doing that! /That blast was bigger than the last time! I guess my energy's ok., but then why do I feel..../

----------PING---------

Amy sees, or rather *feels*, a figure above her. She looks up and sees the piercing glare of Vegeta's eyes looking right right at her. Amy smiles, but quickly goes serious.

A- Hello!

Vegeta- /That power is coming from this....girl! Impossible./

He looks down at her and senses that she is indeed the source of the power. He floats down and lands on the island a couple metres from the girl. Her dark eyes reflecting his stare back at him.

A- Do you want something, or are you challenging me to a staring contest?

Amy surprises herself at how calm she is around the Saiyan Prince.

Vegeta- Where did you get those clothes?

Amy looks down at her outfit---- an exact duplicate of what Vegeta is wearing.

A- I bought them. Where'd you get yours?

Vegeta ignores her. Amy finds herself getting angry, and also excited, at Vegeta's manners. She realizes she's raising her power.

A- Nevermind. I know where you got them.

Vegeta blinks.

A- HAH! I won! You blinked!

Vegeta- It was *not* a staring contest, you fool! If you really want a challenge then fight me!

A- (surprised)y-you wanna fight me?! why? /Am I really so strong that Vegeta thinks I'm a worthy opponent? Cool./ Ok. but I'm kinda new at this, sooooo, why don't you keep your power level low?

Vegeta- Are you afraid to face me? Fine. I'll go easy on you.

A- Of course I'm afraid to fight the Mighty Saiyan, Prince Vegeta! I'm also smart enough to know you won't go "easy" on me. Let's just get this over with. You power up as high as you can without going Super Saiyan, and I'll go as high as I can. deal?

Vegeta- Alright. How do you know about the Saiyans?

A- I know a lot about *you.*

Amy starts powering up.

A- Yaaaaaahhh!

When she's finished, she almost falls over.

A- /This is incredible!/

She catches her breath.

Vegeta- YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!

Debris starts flying everywhere. Amy is dumbfounded at the power increase she senses from Vegeta.

Nicole wakes up and looks around.

N- /Where am I? Oh yeah. GOKU! /

She sits up in the bed and sees the water on the night table. She takes a huge gulp from the glass. When she opens her eyes, she almost chokes. Goku is standing in the doorway.

Goku- Hi there! You're finally awake. Feel any better?

Nicole manages to nod her head.

Goku- You've been out for a while. Can I get you something to eat?

N- FOOD! Can I have some rice balls?

Goku gives her a "Goku Look".

Goku- Sure! I'll go get them.

He leaves the room. Nicole pulls the covers off and tries to stand up.

N- Whoa!

She falls back onto the bed. She takes a senzu bean and eats it. Goku comes back in with a plate of rice balls.

Goku- Here ya go.

He gives one to Nicole and takes one for himself. He sits on the bed, too.

Goku- How long have you been training with Master Roshi?

N- What?

Goku- Well you're wearing his symbol.

He points at her shirt.

N- uh, ummm, I've never met Master Roshi before, but I hear he's a dirty old man.

Goku laughs.

Goku- So, then where'd you get that outfit?

N- uhh, I bought.

Goku- oh. ok.

N- will you train me?

Goku is surprised by this.

Goku- For what?

N- I wanna fly and do Genki Dama and Kaio Ken....

Goku- whoa! slow down! How do you know about all of that? How do you know who I am?

----------PING---------

---------PING----------

N- owwy.

She holds her head in pain.

Goku- /What's that power?/ (surprised look) Vegeta!

Nicole is moaning in pain.

Goku- What's wrong? Can you sense the powers, too?

N- I, owwy, can feel my friend's power. IT HURTS!

Goku smiles.

Goku- You'll get used to it. Now, why would your friend be fighting Vegeta?

N- WHAT?! Amy's fighting Vegeta?! She must be having fun! But. He's gonna kill her!

Goku- Your friend is fighting Vegeta?! We'd better go help her!

N- Yeah! I think she might need a senzu bean or two.

She gestures to her pouch. Goku stands up. Nicole stands up, too. He takes her hand. He uses his right index and middle fingers and points them at his forehead. They disappear.

Vegeta finishes powering up and the debris settles.

Vegeta- Why don't you take the first shot?

A- alright. /Now, just relax and remember everything you know...... /

She vanishes and reappears upside down, face to face with Vegeta and head butts him. The Saiyan staggers back. She has hit him square in the mouth with her forehead.

Vegeta- Nice hit. It isn't going to happen again.

He wipes the blood from his mouth with his fist and smirks. He rushes Amy and uppercuts her into the air. He appears above her, and readies his hands for his favourite move.

A- /I knew it! /

She catches his double-handed fist and uses his strength to throw him.

A- haaaaaaah!

Vegeta "lands" in the air. He has a determined look and starts shooting energy blasts at Amy. She dodges at first, but is soon overwhelmed. Vegeta seizes this moment to do a flying punch into Amy's stomach.

A- ooooooh!

She doubles over in pain and Vegeta strikes her with his favourite move. Amy lands facedown into the ground.

A- /ouch. I need to work on my landings. /

Vegeta lands on the ground as Amy stands on it. Amy uses a burst of energy to run up to Vegeta. She runs up his chest, kicking it and his face, flips backwards and kicks him on the way down, with an extra hard kick to his left knee. Vegeta falls slightly and Amy charges energy into her right hand and punches Vegeta in the face, causing him to fall backwards. Amy catches her breath while Vegeta gets up. They start towards each other......

ZGING!

Goku and Nicole instantly transport between the two fighters.

N- Hi Amy! I'm with Goku!

Amy gives her a "Look."

Vegeta- Kakarot! Get out of my way!

Goku- Just wait a second, Vegeta. Why are you two fighting?

A- Vegeta challenged me and I accepted.

Goku- Well that's not a very good reason.

A- well, I also beat him at a staring contest.

She grins and Nicole laughs.

Goku- Really? I never thought *anyone* could stare down Vegeta.

Vegeta- It was *NOT* a staring contest! And if you'll get out of my way, Kakarot, I'll finish this!

N- whoa! Um, Amy? Want a senzu bean?

Vegeta- Yes! She'll be needing them when I'm finished with her.

Amy "Looks" at Vegeta.

A- no thanx Nicole, I need to know how strong I really am.

N- ummm, ok.

Goku sweatdrops.

Goku- Now, hang on a second. There's no need for you two to be fighting.

N- Amy! I got to eat rice balls!

A- Cool! Now can you and Goku get out of my way now? I'm kinda in the middle of

something.

Vegeta- Yes, Kakarot. Why don't you go find something to eat.

Amy and Nicole laugh. Nicole stops.

N- Hey! For your information, we ate before we got here!

Vegeta ignores her and Amy is laughing hysterically. Vegeta gets tired of waiting for 'Kakarot' and the girl to leave. He looks at Amy.

Vegeta- We'll finish this another time.

He blasts off and flies away. Amy watches as he disappears. She falls to the ground. Nicole hands her a senzu bean.

A- thanx. (eats senzu) Now then. What the Hell are you doing here?!

N- I sorry! I thought he was gonna kill you! And Goku wanted to come sooo.....we did!

A- duh! (turns to Goku) Hi Goku.

Goku- uhh, Hi! How do you know me?

A- 'I know more things in heaven and earth than you could ever dream of.'

Goku and Nicole sweatdrop.

A- My name is Amy.

She extends her hand to Goku.

Goku- (shakes her hand) Hi!

He turns to Nicole.

Goku- and what's your name?

N- I--

A- that's Nicoldum! (note: inside joke)

Goku- well, hello Nicoldum.

N- No, No! My name's Nic--ole. NOT NICOLDUM!

Goku- Oh. Sorry. Nicole then.

Nicole smiles.

A- So. Now what?

She glares at Nicole.

N- I said I was sorry!

She hides behind Goku. Amy goes up to Nicole.

N- No! aaaaah! don't hurt me! GOKU!

Goku puts a hand on Nicole's shoulder. Amy grabs Nicole's Senzu bean pouch.

N- Gimme back my senzu beans!

A- I'm just gonna take a few. I need them, too.

N- Yeah, but I need them more because you're gonna hurt me and it hurts when I ping!

Goku- You're not gonna hurt her, are you?

A- No. (tosses the pouch to Nicole) Only if she really makes me mad.

Amy laughs.

Goku- well, alright then. Gohan should be getting home by now. Do you two have any place to stay?

N- no.

Goku- well, you can stay at my house!

N- YAY!!!

Goku- Here. (gestures to Amy) take my hand and we'll get there with my Instant Transmission.

A- No thanx. I prefer to fly.

Goku- alright.

Nicole grabs his hand and the two disappear and Amy starts to fly to Goku's house.
