*a/n* uhhh...hmmm...well to my amazement i have nothing of importance or even remotely useful to say right now, so...well actually wait i do...its about Saris he is (like i said before) my best friend's character and he had a whole story planned out where he would first introduce him into the plot but he was lazy and didn't wanna do it so if youre confused then by all means ask questions cuz i know everything needed to know ^_^ *

Chapter Six: Before the chaos and confusion

Saris sat alone, resting against the sturdy branch of one of the many enormous tress that grew not to far from the Capsule corp. household. Usually he would never have acted as he did back at the tavern with that whole Bra ordeal. It was not his usual personality, but the way she had just got up,started flirting with him and had kissed him like it was an everyday thing, really startled him.
He dismissed the thought for the time being and just focused on the night. As nice as it could ever get during the day, he still preferred the night-life he had made for himself upon his first day working for Capsule corp. It was completely silent tonight, all except for a few sounds of rustling in the woods here and there and soft. childish laugh in the distance. Childish laugh...that wasn't right. "Wait a minute . . ." He carefully scanned the perimeter until he heard it again but louder, and closer to him. "What the hell?"
Then it grew deathly silent, until a quiet voice disturbed the peace. "Hey Saris, how's it going?" He smirked, not needing to turn around to know who it was. "Hey Rai...the usual, you know." He should have guessed it was her, but it didn't really matter.
Rai-en climbed onto a nearby branch and settled down on it comfortably. "Why so quiet tonight?" She asked noticing his extra silent behavior.
He laughed quietly, still laying against the branch with his gaze now focused on her. "I'm always quiet. What do you mean?"
She shrugged, "I dunno, you just seem....more distant than normal. I'm just curious, maybe its got something to do with earlier at the party?"
She knew she should just let it go but she was concerned about him, he and her were pretty close friends and if he was bummed out then so was she. Somewhere in her heart she felt a bit more than a friend to him but it wasn't like what he had going for Bra. She saw how hard he was crushing for her but she also saw how fond Uub was of her. He was head over heels for the girl and she seemed to show the same qualities but the little dispute earlier showed some signs of undeciseivness. Rai just didn't want to see Saris get hurt, was all but things were looking that way.
She pushed the thought out of her head when she noticed the akwards gaze she was recievign from him, she had been staring at while she was thinking all that and she probably had just displayed her every thought right there on her face. Withiout hesitation she started to climg higher up into the tree until the branches were too flimsy to hold her any longer, but she could see a clear view of the area below. "Wow! It's so awesome up here. C'mon up Saris, enjoy the view."
He made no effort to move from his current position. "No, I'm fine down here. I've seen it already anwyay."
What they didn't notice was that slowly the sky was growing darker and darker to the point where it looked like it was nearly midnight. Nothing really drew Rai's attention until the ground began to shake; not violently but enough to cause the tree they both sat in, to shake as well. Saris had been relaxed and nearly asleep until that point. Startled, awake he caugfht himself from falling. Rai-en jumped off of the branch she was on and hovered just above the top of the tree.
"What's going on? A voice shouted from down below by the house. It was trunks, with his sister by his side both half-dressed and wide awake from the minature earthquake they had.
Rai-en shouted back down to them. "If we knew we'd tell you. It's probably just my brother practicing his damn earthquake technique, he likes to train late at night." Expecting a few laughs she was rather surprised at the response she recieved.
Trunks eliminated that idea, he knew her brother's attacks pretty well in fact. "Rai, Trazer's attack is no where near that powerful and even with how strong it is, he's not close enough for it to effect us."
She bit her lip in frustration, "Damn, well so much for the reasonable explanation," she paused, "Hey! Maybe__" her thought was immediately proved wrong by Saris as he cut her off, now right up there beside her.
His gaze was fixed on the ground below, as though he were searching for something or someone. "__No, it's something else. Something new, I'm not sure . . . but it's defenitely not from around here."
Then it finally caught her attention as Rai-en looked up into the blackened sky. "Look! The sky . . . it looks like it's almost midnight."
The fact that she pointed it out a bit too late became obvious when an equally strange black hole formed, a good five to ten feet away from their positions. The two that were in the tree flew down to where Trunks and Bra stood staring blakly at the vortex-like hole as it grew in size. "What the hell is going on?" Trunks asked, glaring at Saris who looked almost like he had some clue.
He just kept his eyes ahead as he repsonded. "Just keep watching . . . " And the did just that, only to get the biggest surprise of their lives.
Out from the darkness and onto the cold hard ground staggered a human like figure. And just as quickly as it appeared, the black hole vanished. At that moment, all eyes were on what seemed to be human. Everyone, aside from Saris, had relaxed and were relieved when the shaking had subsided. Saris kept his guard up for some reason. Trunks looked over at him curiously but figured he must have had a good reason.
"I think i'll go check it out. You girls stay here. Saris, why don't you come with me." He nodded and followed after.
The purple haired demi-saiyan stood over the still form of a young girl with a vast curiouosity. He and Saris looked her over carefully for signs of injury or anything unsual. Besides being out cold, she was perfectly fine. She looked rather young, possibly no older than at least fifteen or sixteen years old. She had soft raven black hair that fell to just below her shoulders that shone a dark blue color when the light hit it right. Her facial features were rather familar, so much that it was unnerving. She was a student, they guessed by the pin attatched to her jacket, it had the Orange Star High emblem on it.
Trunks scooped her up into his powerful arms. Well, . . . at least we know she's from around here. She's a student at the school in Satan City, Orange Star High School."
Something seemed strangely familar about this girl to Saris, and he could not figure out just what, as they flew back over to where their friends stood. They were surprised by the sight of the strange girl in Trunks' arms. "C'mon, let's bring her inside!" The others followed Trunks inside, all except Saris of course. Something still didn't feel right, so he chose to stay behind and keep to himself.

Trunks brought her to a spare room upstairs and layed her down on the bed making her as comfortable as possible. Bra grabbed a washcloth, wet it down with cool water and rested it on the girl's forehead. the blue-haired girl studied the younger girl before her. Something seemed oddly familar to her, and like there was a connection between them. She reached out and brushed a few stray hairs from her face, not really knowing why, but she felt a strong connection to the girl, and an strange urge to make sure she was safe.
Trunks gave his sister a puzzled look "What's up with you all of a sudden?" She glanced back at him and shrugged. "I don't really know. There's something about her . . . I don't know."
He nodded in understanding, feeling somewhat the same but in a different way. "Okay, well what else is new. Stuff like this has happened before. I think we should let her rest, we'll check on her later."
She agreed, and then three of them exited the room and retired to their own rooms.
