The Past Sneaks In
ChiChi was washing the dishes. Lunch was over. Goku, Gohan, and Goten usually would eat and then go back to sparring. She would get stuck cleaning after them and making them food. She didn't mind knowing she had done it over the years. But today she felt like something was missing. she couldn't figure out what it was but she was almost feeling......miserable.
After she was done cleaning the whole kitchen she went to the living and sat down on the couch. She picked up a magazine and began flipping the pages. Sighing with frustration after finding nothing she tossed the magazine aside. She got up and looked out the window. She saw her two sons trying to land a punch or a kick on Goku. She smirked as Goten caught Goku by surprise and hit him from behind. She was amazed on how fast her little boy was growing up. He was already starting junior high and Gohan had already gone into college. She gave a deep sigh and looked up to the ceiling. "What am I going to do without my boys?" she said quietly. She looked back at the warriors and studied Goten's skills. She did teach him a few things before Goku had came back from the dead. Who else would of trained him if Gohan was at school. She had noticed that one was missing, Goku. She looked around to see if he was hiding from the boys but they were just sparring with each other.
"What are you doing ChiChi?" said a voice from behind her.
She jumped up almost a foot high. She turned around finding that it was Goku. "You almost gave me a fucking heart attack!" she yelled at him.
He gave her a confused face. "What's wrong?" he asked softly.
She sighed and walked passed him. "Nothing's wrong," she said.
He shrugged and sat on the kitchen chair. "Goten's been getting stronger lately," he said happily. "I'm very impressed by his improvements and I think he could even go up to level 3 on his own."
"That's nice," she said, not sounding enthusiastically.
Goku looked at her strangely. He couldn't understand what was wrong with her. He'd never seen her act like this before. Usually she would throw tantrum about how he was pushing the boys so hard but she just stood there quietly. "If anything's bothering you, tell me," he said.
She went up to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I'm perfectly fine," she said. "Look, I think you should help Gohan."
Goku looked over his shoulder and watched Gohan getting hit a couple of times by Goten. "That's it Goten!" he called out. He ran outside to cheer him on.
ChiChi sighed and walked over to the refrigerator. She opened it finding only a half gallon of milk and one slice of some kind of red meat. "Well," she said, putting her hands on her hips. "I better do some groceries before these guys get hungry again." She grabbed her purse and walked out the door. "I'm going to the market to buy groceries," she told the warriors.
"Ok....ChiChi," answered Goku, still sparring with Gohan and Goten.
She nodded her in amusement and got in the air car.
At the market ChiChi was at the vegetable ile. "I think I'll make some spaghetti tonight," she said while holding a big, red tomatoe. She grabbed about a dozen of them and placed them in a plastic bag. She started walking down and when she turned the corner she bumped into someone. "I'm sorry," she apologized. "I dind't see you." She looked up to see person's face.
"It's alright," said the man. "It was my fault."
ChiChi's eyes widened and she gasped. The man was tall with slick, brown hair, and green eyes. he was wearing a white business suit. His smile showed a row of perfect, white teeth. She looked at him more closely. "Tony?" she asked, hoping to be wrong.
"Why, yes that's my name," he said, looking at her confusingly. "And you are......"
"It's ChiChi," she said happily.
He looked at her puzzled and then gasped. "ChiChi!" he almost yelled out. "I remember you. We went to elementary school together."
"Yes," she agreed. "You were in my fifth grade class."
He looked at her up and down. "You've changed," he said. "I'm impressed."
She felt her face getting red. "You haven't changed that much," she said. "You're still the nice guy in class."
He smiled and studied her face even more. "You're even more beautiful than the last time we saw each other," he said softly. "Which was the fifth grade graduation."
"Oh," she said, giggling a little. "I look the same."
He grinned and looked at her cart. "Shopping for the whole town?" he said sarcastically.
She laughed again feeling her face get redder. "No," she answered quietly. "Just for my husband and my two boys."
"You have a husband and two sons?" he said surprised.
"Yes," she said. "Umm. I'm going back to my house now. If you'd like, you could come over for dinner and meet them."
He agreed and took out his agenda. She wrote down her address and said goodbye to Tony. "See you at six?" she assured him.
"Not a minute too late," he said while waving goodbye at her.
