Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Dark Appearance: Part 1 ❯ End of Training ( Chapter 29 )
CHAPTER 29: END OF TRAINING
It was finally the last day of training for the Saiyan trio. They were anxious to leave the white prison, mainly because there was no food left. Marley stood in front of the door her back facing the other Saiyans. It was apparent that she had gained more muscle mass in her time training. She looked tougher, she was tougher. She and Goku Had reached the fifth level of Super Saiyan. Vegeta was still in the fourth level, but they both expected that he would reach his goal soon.
"I had fun training with you two, we should do this more often."
"Kakkarot, you are so weird," Marley said under her breath, but knowing everyone could hear her.
Vegeta smirked. Over the months training, he and Marley had solved their differences and were like brother and sister. Well they fought like them at least.
The three in Marley's eyes were like a team of super heroes. They reminded her of the Saiyans that made the last stand against Frieza when their planet was destroyed. They were like her child hood stories come to life.
Finally the door opened and released them. Marley walked out into the light and looked around. Gohan and Chichi, who was holding Kakkarotto, were standing there. When Marley saw Gohan she charged at him and yelled, "Gohan!"
She jumped up on him and wrapped her legs around his waist as she kissed him. He fell on his back but Marley didn't let up. She had thought about him and Kakkarotto every day she was gone.
"Marley," he managed between kisses, "I missed you too."
She sat up, still on his stomach, and said with mock severity, "Where you good?"
He laughed and pushed her off, "Yes."
She hopped up and ignored the stares of her Saiyan training partners and went over to Chichi and Kakkarotto.
"Kakkarotto was very good too," Chichi said to Marley as she handed him over.
Kakkarotto cooed as Marley picked him up. His tail wrapped around her wrist. Kakkarotto, who was still a Super Saiyan and likely to remain so for the rest of his life, immediately sighed and went to sleep. Marley's tail swished gracefully back and forth in happiness.
"Gohan, lets go home."
He smiled and complied. The young couple flew off into the sky.
Marley had fed Kakkarotto and put him to bed. She walked down stairs to where Gohan was looking over some papers. She stood behind him and began massaging his shoulders. She felt him relax. He looked up at her and smiled his `I love you' smile as he stood up and wrapped Marley in his arms.
"Gohan?" She said, breaking the silence in the room.
"Hmmm," he replied lazily.
"I have to tell you something very important."
He waited. Marley led him over to their couch and sat down on it with him. "This is very hard for me to say," she began looking down at her hands. "I have never regretted anything I've done, never. I'm not about to start now. I love you and our baby very much, I want you to know this, even though you may not feel the same after I tell you this."
"Nothing can-" Gohan started, but Marley silenced him by putting her hand on his mouth.
"You know that the Dark Man is coming in a couple of days, two to be exact."
He nodded.
"The Dark Man is a spirit that is forced to live in the bodies of mortals. He increases their power and takes his claim on their minds, eventually bending them to his will. Now he is traveling in the body of someone and coming here. He will try to find a person close to me to inhabit so he can destroy me, and he is coming after me. This I have seen and there is no way to change it."
Gohan didn't look as surprised as she'd thought he would, "Well if that is it, just kill me when he gets into my body, you can just wish me back with the dragon balls."
Marley smiled at her mate's bravery. "I'm afraid it doesn't work like that. He will just detach from you and find another host."
He cringed a bit, "Then how are we suppose to defeat him?"
"I don't know. I tried asking the Box, but the Future was too cloudy to see," a tear ran down her cheek, "And the worst part is, I've known the whole time. I couldn't tell anyone for fear they would try and alter the Future."
She fell into him and began sobbing, "I'm so sorry Gohan. I love you, I really do!"
"I know," he said soothing her. "I love you too. Hey, we still have a day left. Lets make the most of it. We can take Kakkarotto out in the woods for a picnic for the day. We'll forget about this whole thing. Come on."
She smiled, "Okay."
He lied down on the couch and she laid down beside him, her tail encircling both of them, and they fell asleep in each other's embrace.
