Acquisition
“I don’t like it, Zarbon. Not one bit.”
“Neither do I, but it’s not our choice.”
Frieza came to visit his newest acquisition but stopped at the sound of voices just outside the cell door. Unobserved, he waited in the shadows around the corner, listening.
“You know what happens to these monkeys,” Dodoria continued. “What are we supposed to do if he turns into a giant ape in the middle of space?”
“It only happens when they look at a full moon,” Zarbon said. “As long as he’s down here where it’s dark, nothing will happen.”
Frieza didn’t like the way Zarbon’s voice sounded.
“Why don’t we go have a little fun with him?” Dodoria suggested.
“Yes,” Zarbon agreed. “Let’s see just what makes this brat so special.”
Frieza heard the cell door being unlocked. He was torn between protecting his acquisition and testing his abilities. Standing outside the door, he heard the boy get off a few blasts before the larger two retaliated with blasts of their own. He waited until a scream of pain was forced from the little Saiyan before deciding the test had gone far enough.
“Now, boys,” Frieza said, pushing the door open. “Play nice.”
