Around the Fire – Part Three
“I’m glad you’re training me, Mr. Piccolo,” Gohan mumbled, already slipping into a deep sleep beside the fire.
Piccolo looked down at his young student for a minute, then walked away shaking his head. Never had he felt affection for anything in his life and the unfamiliar emotion was disturbing. He hated to admit his attachment to the boy, but it was clear as the antennae on his head.
“Sleep well, kid. We’ve got a long way to go yet,” Piccolo whispered. A grin tugged at his mouth. “I can’t wait to show your dad what he’s missed out on.”
