Around the Fire – Part Two
“Why don’t you like my dad?” Gohan asked.
“I respect him,” Piccolo answered, “but he’s in my way.”
Piccolo stood by the river’s edge and watched Gohan clean the blood from his face. One eye was swollen completely shut and would have to rest an entire day before resuming normal training. He inwardly growled at the loss of time, resolving to work the boy even harder when he was ready.
“But how can he be in your way?” Gohan persisted. “Aren’t you both against the bad guys?”
“I am a bad guy!” Piccolo snapped. “Don’t you dare think any different!”
