The Next Chapter
Daylight poured through the open curtains in the bedroom of a young female who lay sprawled on her huge bed. She was still asleep, though it was well past noon. Summer vacation had started only a week ago and she was more than happy to sleep the entire day away. Her grandfather had other plans for her though. "SHANAA AMBER BREIFS! WAKE UP THIS INSTANT!" He roared from the other side of her closed bedroom door. The girl screamed and shot out of bed, landing in a crumpled heap on the floor. "Granpa! It's too early! Leave me alone for another hour!" She yelled back, brushing her dark lavender hair out of her pretty blue eyes. "If you're not downstairs in ten minutes, I will break this door down young lady!" The man shouted. Shanaa picked herself up off of the floor and glared at the closed door.
"Jesus, Granpa! You're too damn pushy!" She muttered, peeling yesterday's clothes off. Shanaa had turned fifteen not more than two months ago and was behaving in the same manner that her mother had when she was her age. She wrapped a towel around herself and opened the door to see her grandfather, Vejita, on the other side. He took one look at her and turned red under his tanned skin. "Can I take a shower, please, oh super great Granpa of mine?" She hissed, staring up into his shadowy black eyes. Vejita nodded and turned away, walking down the stairs and back into the kitchen where he had been just a few moments before.
Shanaa shook her head and moved to open the door, finding it locked. "WHO'S IN THERE?" She shouted, banging on the door. "HOLD ON A MINUTE!" It was her older brother, Keko. Shanaa growled and stomped down the stairs to find her father. "Tousaaaaaan?" She yelled, walking out into the backyard. Her father stood holding a garden hose in one hand and the telephone in the other. He turned to his daughter and raised an eyebrow. "Shanaa, why are you out here in nothing but a towel?" He asked, covering the receiver. Shanaa's cheeks puffed out angrily. "GET KEKO OUT OF THE BATHROOM!" She ordered. Trunks sighed and rolled his eyes. His daughter was even more demanding than her mother. "Alright. I'll be there in a minute. Just, get back inside before someone sees you." He waved the phone at her and went back to his conversation.
The younger Saiyajin glared at her father and whirled around, walking briskly back into the house. "KEKO GET OUT OF THERE!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. Her mother stuck her head around the corner and raised an eyebrow. "Shanaa Amber Breifs! What the Hell is wrong with you? Why are you shouting?" Shanaa turned to her mother and pouted. "Granpa woke me up too early, Keko wont get out of the bathroom and Daddy's being a dummy again!" Her mother laughed and pulled her long black hair away from her face, securing it with a scrunchy. "Did you ask nicely before you started your little fit?" The older woman asked, putting her hands on her hips. Shanaa blushed and shook her head. "No, Mom. I- I didn't." She answered sheepishly.
"Serengeta, there you are." Vejita had come around the same corner as Serena had and was now staring at his granddaughter. "I thought you were taking a shower, Kodomo?" Shanaa looked like she was going to scream again when her brother came down the stairs, shaking his head. "You're so impatient, Imoto. Bathroom's free now." Keko said softly, smiling down at his younger, half sister. "'Bout friggin' time... thank you, Nii-chan." She started up the stairs when she spotted her older sister heading for the bathroom. "STOP RIGHT THERE, NEE-SAN!" She hollered. Reoko spun around and blinked at her sister. "What? I was getting my contact lenses. Sheesh." The seventeen year old picked up her little case and exited the bathroom. Shanaa sprinted in and locked the door behind her. Finally, she was alone. Living in a house with twelve people was hard. Her entire family pretty much resided in the Capsule Corporation building that her Grandmother, Bulma Breifs, had been left when her father had died. Shanaa could count of every single resident in the house and often did on occasion. Her father lived there, her mother, BOTH of Serena's first kids, her grandfather, her grandmother, her aunts (Bra and Angel), her 'older brother' Goten, his father (Goku), herself, and her mother's half-sister Harmony.
That was too many people for her to handle. She turned the water on and then the radio that sat on the bathroom counter. She flipped through the stations a few times before finding one that suited her tastes. After stepping under the cool water,-- it was much too hot for a warm shower these days--, she sighed heavily and sang along with the musician on the radio. It was not only hard to live in a house with eleven other people, it was hard to be the youngest in the entire house. She always felt, that even when she screamed and shouted, no one ever noticed her. Well, except maybe her grandfather. He had been striving to get her to train for the past week and had finally succeeded in waking her from her deep slumber. It wasn't that she didn't WANT to train, she just couldn't find the energy when the days were so hot and humid.
Shanaa herself was pretty strong, having Saiyajin blood on both sides of her family. She wasn't a full blooded Saiyajin though. Her father was half and her mother was full, so that made her three quarters Saiyajin and one quarter human. She liked the human part of her just as much as the Saiyajin. She loved the way her hair had turned out a couple of shades darker than her father's and even liked that her temper wasn't as bad as her mother's or grandfather's. It was just too damn hard to concentrate on being human when your mother's side wanted you to be Saiyajin.
She sighed again and shut the water off, toweling her self dry before she left the bathroom and slipped back into her own room. She had been given her mother's old bedroom and had changed very little. Sure, some of the pictures of the other Z-senshi were a little yellowed and dusty, but she liked to sit and stare at them when she couldn't sleep at night. It helped her to better understand her mother's past life, before she had had children. Besides, she wasn't much of a decorator and had only taken down a few moldy looking posters of some guy named Leonardo De Caprio. She smirked to herself and sat down on her bed, looking around the bright room at all of the faces she had come to love. Her Aunt Harmony's 'mate' Piccolo, her mom's friend Kuririn and his family, there was even a picture of her 'real' grandmother. A Saiyajin by the name of Sumari.
She had been her grandfather's first mate, before Bulma and reminded her of her own mother. "Shanaa?" She jumped when she heard her father's voice at the door. "Nani?" She murmured. "You alright in there, hime-chan?" "Yes, Papa. I'm fine. Tell Granpa I'll be down in a bit, ok?" She was sure that her father had probably nodded, unaware that he had done so, and was walking back down the stairs.
Shanaa stood and changed into a pair of black spandex shorts and a sports bra. She was never one to put on one of the silly looking battle suits her grandfather seemed to wear whenever he got the chance. After making sure her light brown tail was completely dry, she headed down to the kitchen to grab a quick bite to eat. She bumped into Goten on her way over to the fridge and smiled a 'hello'. "Imoto-chan. Where you going dressed like that?" He asked, eyeing her. Shanaa felt her face grow hot. "Granpa is forcing me to train, why? Did you think I was going to go out in public looking like some ragamuffin?" Goten shook his head and turned to his father, who had been standing in the kitchen without being noticed. "Tousan. Don't you think it's strange that Vejita would only want to train her?" He asked. Goku shrugged and finished off the glass of orange juice he was drinking. "Not really. I remember when Vejita would go through these phases where he'd only train Trunks, or he'd only train Serena. I think he's just trying to stay young by picking up some of his old habits." Shanaa turned around quickly and glared at Goku. "Are you saying that my Granpa is old?" She hissed. Goku winced. He had obviously touched the same nerve Serena had when it came to Vejita. "No no, Shanaa. I was just saying... he uh... he's just not as young as he used to be." Goku swallowed and prayed that she would go back to looking in the fridge. But she didn't. She walked right over to him and glared into his face. "Well, you know what, Kakarrotto? You can take that little comment and shove it up your ass!" She slammed the fridge shut and stomped out into the living room.
Goten looked at his father and grinned. "I swear, if her hair wasn't the same color as Trunks', she'd be the spitting image of Serena." Goku nodded and sighed. "I'm SO glad that Reoko didn't turn out like that."
A few moments passed before Goku heard Serena's shrill shout for him to come into the living room. Goku looked at his son and bit his tongue. "Wish me luck..." He mumbled, walking to the living room where Serena and Shanaa sat, glaring at him. "What did you say about my father?" Serena asked, still glaring at the older Saiyajin. "All I said was that he is picking up some of his old habits. You know, picking one person and training them for a while before moving on to the next person." He tried his best to look as innocent as possible before watching Serena turn to Shanaa and nod. Shanaa stood up and kicked him hard in the shin, walking away as he yelped in pain. Serena smirked at her ex-mate and shook her head. "You know better than that, Goku-sama. You don't say awful things about our king and think you're going to get away with it by lying." Goku just glared and limped back into the kitchen where Goten laughed at him and pretty much repeated what Serena had said.
Vejita came into the training hall where Shanaa sat patiently, stretching out her arms and legs. "What's on the agenda for today's lesson, Granpa?" She asked, smiling at him. Vejita raised an eyebrow. "I thought you didn't want to do this? I thought you were tired and wanted to sleep your vacation away?" He smiled at her and shrugged. "But if you insist... I WAS going to go easy on you and just have a couple sparring matches, you know, to see how far along you are." Shanaa nodded and stood, her body completely warmed up now. She popped her neck and then looked back over at Vejita. "Let's go." She purred. Vejita laughed. "Can I get stretched out, please? I'm sixty-two years old, I can't just get up and fight like I used to. I'm old." He shook his head and waved his hand at her. "I'll call you when I need you." Shanaa gave a slow nod and walked back out to the garden. Trunks was still on the phone, the garden hose he had been holding was on the ground, creating a rather large puddle of mud and water.
Shanaa sighed and picked up the hose, finishing her father's work while he yelled and screamed at the guy on the other side of the receiver. "I don't CARE if it's impossible, Jones, I want that report on my desk Monday morning, got it? GOOD!" With that, he hung up the phone and looked up at his daughter. "Thanks Shanaa. I guess I got a little distracted..." Trunks rolled his eyes and sipped the mug of coffee on the table in front of him. He eyed his daughter as she bit her lip and seemed to clench the garden hose, cutting the water off almost completely. "Shanaa-chan... are you ok?" He asked, standing up to turn her around. Tears glistened in Shanaa's eyes as she dropped the hose and threw her arms around her father, sobbing into his chest while he stared down at her in surprise. "WHY?" She whined as Trunks stroked her long hair. "Why what, Kodomo?" He asked. "Why does Granpa have to be old? Why can't he be the same age forever? Why can't we all be the same age forever?" She looked up at her father and sniffed. Trunks sighed. He didn't want to explain that nobody had control over how old someone is or why people get old. He had tried once before and only caused his daughter to have a panic attack.
"Shanaa-chan... people have no control over it. We can't help that we get old. Nobody wants to be old, but there isn't anything we can do about it." Shanaa narrowed her eyes a little. "What about the Dragon Balls, Tousan? You said they could grant any wish. Can't I wish that Granpa and everyone else can be young and stay young forever?" Trunks shook his head. The original Dragon Balls had long since disappeared and he doubted that Dende would be able to make another set. "I'm sorry, princess. I don't think so." "Well, can't we go to Namek then? They have Dragon Balls there too!" She cried. Trunks sighed and knelt down to look into his daughter's eyes. "Princess, I don't think you understand. We cannot change our fate. Mortals are made to be born, live and then grow old and die for a reason. Tampering with that reason may throw things out of line. I don't think you want to do that, do you?" Shanaa's lower lip trembled and she turned around and ran back into the house, past her mother and siblings and straight into Vejita's bedroom. She threw herself onto his bed and cried hard into his pillow.
Serena stared at Trunks as he came into the house. "Koibito, what did you say to her?" She asked. Trunks shrugged and looked back at his mate. "The truth about being Mortal." Serena winced. She too had been trying to avoid the subject for a while. Vejita walked into the living room, looking around for Shanaa. "Where's the little princess at?" He asked, looking over at his oldest daughter and only son. Serena gestured to his bedroom and he nodded, walking over to it. "Hime-chan?" He whispered, sitting on the bed. Shanaa sprang up and latched her arms around his neck, crying into his shoulder. "Granpa!" She whined. Vejita raised both of his eyebrows and put a hand on her back. "Hime-chan, what's wrong?" He asked, lifting her chin away from his shoulder. "I don't want you to be old, I want you to be young again so you can have another chance at living!" Vejita's eyes widened in a slightly confused manner. "What do you mean, 'another chance at life'? Hime-chan, I'm not dying. I'm just old." He chuckled at her frustrated expression. "You don't understand! I don't want you to die, Granpa. I don't want you to ever leave me! I don't want anybody to leave me!" Vejita sighed. He had gone through this with his own children. "Hime-chan, there isn't anything we can really do about that. Now that the Dragon Balls have been destroyed and Namek is on the verge of it's own demise, we have no way to prevent ourselves from growing old and fading away." Shanaa growled at her grandfather and turned away. "You sound like Daddy. You have no hope either." She slid off of the bed and left his room, sauntering out to the living room. Her Aunt Harmony greeted her with a smile and then stared at her hard. "Shanaa, what's wrong?" She asked. Harmony was very pretty with her light green skin and long black hair. She was half-Namekian, half-Saiyajin. Shanaa frowned and bit her tongue. "Everybody's getting old and they're all going to die soon. I don't WANT to lose anybody... I wish the Dragon Balls were still around..." She whined, sitting down in her grandfather's old, black leather armchair.
Harmony seemed to grin before she straightened herself. "I see you haven't told her, Nee-san." She purred at Serena. Serena quickly shook her head and shot her younger half-sister a warning look. Shanaa looked over at her aunt. "Told me what, Harmony-chan?" she asked. Harmony smiled again and winked at Serena. "I have just created a new set of Dragon Balls. Silver ones. Would you like to see them?" Shanaa shot up in the chair and nodded furiously. Harmony nodded and pulled a rather small pouch from her hip and opened it, reaching inside to lift a tiny, baseball sized Dragon Ball from it. Shanaa gasped. It was so pretty with it's shiny silver color and bright red stars. "Can I..." She held her hand out and Harmony placed the orb in her niece's hand. It was cool to the touch, much like glass but it was made from something else, a different material that was unknown to Earthlings. She rolled it around in her hand and counted the stars. "Four... it's the soshinkyu ball!" She exclaimed, looking up into her aunt's pinkish eyes.
Harmony nodded again and smiled wider. "I believe that you had a wish, Shanaa-chan." She grinned at Serena who shook her head. "No, Harmony. Don't encourage her!" She warned. Harmony rolled her eyes. "You've turned into such a bore, Serena. Where did your sense of adventure go?" She asked. "Out the window when Trunks and the rest of us got turned into children!" Serena answered, glaring at Harmony.
Harmony waved a hand at Serena and stood up, gesturing for Shanaa to follow. Serena stood up quickly and grabbed her daughter by the strap to her sports bra. "Shanaa Amber Breifs, if you think you're going to wish for me to be young again, don't make me older than twenty five." She grinned and winked at her before she let go.
Shanaa nodded and followed Harmony out to the backyard where she dumped the rest of the balls onto the wet grass. "Ok, Shanaa-chan. Are you ready?" Shanaa swallowed and nodded, placing the four-star ball next to it's clones. "Alright. ARISE, SOLEIL! GRANT ME THE WISH I DESIRE!!!" Harmony shouted. Suddenly, the sky became very black and the balls glowed and crackled fiercely. A large, silver and red dragon burst from the balls, swirling and spinning until it's form was complete. "What are your wishes?" It roared. Shanaa's eyes had become wide, her mouth almost too dry for her to speak. "I- I wish that my family and the Z-Senshi with the exception of me, Keko and Reoko, were nineteen years younger than they are now!" She stammered, waiting. The Dragon seemed to contemplate this and then nodded. "It shall be done." There was a flash of light and Shanaa could hear screams and shouts coming from inside the house. "What is your next wish?" The Dragon asked, looking a little impatient. "Harmony, can I wait for the next wish?" She asked, looking over at her much younger aunt. Harmony nodded. "THAT WILL BE ALL SOLEIL!" She shouted. The Dragon disappeared and the balls returned to normal at the girls' feet. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?" Trunks had come outside, looking much younger than he had two minutes ago. Shanaa stared and blushed when Goten came out after him. He was now her age and needless to say, very cute. "Er- I made a wish, Papa..." She swallowed hard and blinked when her dad lunged at her. "What were you thinking, turning me into a teenager? The guys at work are going to laugh at me now!" Shanaa looked over at Harmony, as if begging her to fix her father. "Make him my mom's age! Do it before he strangles me!" She screamed. "Anyone else I should fix?" "Goten! Fix GOTEN!" She yelled. Harmony nodded and called the Dragon again, fixing the little boo-boo that had been made. Vejita came out of his room and into the backyard, looking a bit more energized than before. "Shanaa. I suspect YOU have something to do with this, right?" He asked, smirking. Shanaa smiled and nodded. "Come on then. You wanted to train with a younger me, so you're going to get the chance." He motioned her away from the others and led her into the in-house gym.
Butterflies fluttered in Shanaa's stomach as she blocked a kick from her grandfather. He was so much faster and a lot more fun to train with. She was also beginning to see that he was a little happier than he had been before and this made her smile and miss the next punch he threw at her. Her head snapped backwards, but she didn't move too much. When she lifted her head and wiped the blood from her chin, Vejita grinned. "That's my girl." He winked and the two continued until dinner.
It felt weird to be around a younger version of her mother. She was just as pretty as before, but seemed a little less stubborn about what everyone was talking about. When the subject came to Muten Roshi's party on saturday, she grinned at Trunks and winked. "We are going to get SO hammered!" She exclaimed, startling Keko and Reoko. "Kaasan. Calm down." Keko mumbled, shoveling food into his mouth. "Why should I, Keko-kun? I'm young and full of life again. I should be able to live a little, right? Isn't that what you kids are saying these days?" Reoko rolled her eyes at her mother and glared at Shanaa, who was laughing at every little thing Goten was saying. Now that he was twenty-two, he was still cute and kind of fun to flirt with. He wasn't really her 'Nii-san' anyway. Shanaa had always liked to call him that though. She had picked it up from Reoko when she was going through the stage where she copied everything anybody said. "Hey... Nii-sama! Don't flirt with her!" Reoko hissed, kicking Goten's shin under the table. "She IS underage, you know." Keko growled in agreement with his twin. Shanaa blushed and looked away from the rest of the table, lowering her head. "Get over it, you two. Sheesh." Goten grumbled, turning back to his food. Serena eyed them for a moment and jumped when Vejita started to laugh. "That's my granddaughter. Flirting with someone older than her. She gets it from you and your mother, Serengeta." He winked at Serena and continued to eat. Serena turned a little pink, ignoring the raised eyebrow Trunks shot at her. "It's not my fault Mom fell in love with you when she was thirteen." She mumbled. "Right. And it's not my fault you fell in love with Kakarrotto when you were the same age." Vejita chuckled and grinned. Serena stood up suddenly, her chair making a loud scraping noise against the floor. "I WAS STUPID! I WAS YOUNG! I made a bad choice... don't rub it in." She hissed, stomping out of the dining room. Keko and Reoko looked at each other and then at their father. Goku was trying to avoid everybody's gaze as he fumbled with his chopsticks.
Shanaa bit her lip and stood up as well, carrying her empty dish to the sink. Serena leaned against the counter, crying softly. "Kaasan?" She whispered, placing her hand on Serena's arm. Serena jumped and wiped away her tears. She didn't like it when her children, no matter what age, saw her cry. "I'm sorry, Shanaa darling. I just don't like to talk about that subject in front of your father. He's kind of sensitive about it." Shanaa nodded and sighed. She knew that her mother and father were half siblings who had fallen in love after Serena had broken up with Goku. She really didn't care that her father was her uncle in a sense. Her mother had always told her that love knew no gender, race, age or bloodline and now she fully believed it. How could she not after growing up seeing her mother so happy with Trunks? She also knew that her mother had slept with Goku a few times when she and Trunks were having problems. This had made her father extremely jealous and overprotective of Serena and also made him hate Goku when it came to the topic of the past relationship Serena had had with him. Shanaa hugged her mother and walked back through the dining room, ignoring her father as he tried to get her attention. When she had settled herself on the couch, Goten joined her. "Shanaa-chan, is something wrong with your mom?" He asked. Shanaa shook her head. Her mother had told her stories of the way the Son men behaved. Gohan had loved her for years and then suddenly dropped her for Videl. Goku had fallen in love with her and dropped her for his ex-wife named Chi-Chi. Apparently she had been Goten and Gohan's mother, but Shanaa had never met her. She only knew that Goku had come to live with them after she booted him out of the house for the second time.
Shanaa looked over at Goten and stared hard. What was it about these men that was so appealing? Maybe it was because they were Saiyajin, but she wasn't too sure. She only knew that she was starting to develop a crush on the older half-Saiyajin sitting next to her. Goten raised an eyebrow and stared back at her. "Can I help you?" He laughed. Shanaa shook her head and looked away again. She should know better from the stories. Son men were nothing more than mindless dummies who couldn't make up their minds. But she couldn't help it. Just sitting next to him like this was like sitting next to Johnny Depp. Her blood was rushing through her veins like water through a pipe. Her heart seemed to be pounding in her chest as her tail began to rhythmically flick against the couch. "Hime-chan?" Shanaa looked over at her grandfather and smiled, a little relived that he had come into the room. "Hai, G-chan?" she purred. Vejita raised his eyebrows and then shook his head. "Is your mother alright?" he asked. Shanaa nodded and stood up. "Are you too full for a second round, Granpa?" She asked. Vejita laughed. "Can it wait for about an hour? I may be younger, but I'm not the damn energizer bunny." Shanaa nodded and turned to Goten. "Whadda 'bout you?" She asked, smiling. "You up for a sparring match or two?" Goten smirked. "You sure you can handle me?" He asked. "Are you sure you can handle ME?" She retorted, winking. Goten laughed. "You're weaker than I am, little one. I'm sure I can take you." Shanaa growled at him and ran to the in-house gym. Goten followed and stood waiting. "Well, ladies first." Shanaa smiled and gave a little nod before rushing at him. She moved to punch him when he grabbed her arm and tried to throw her across the room before attacking her. Shanaa stopped in mid-air and charged him as he flew at her. They collided in the middle of the room and collapsed to the floor. Shanaa sat up and breathed hard. It took her a moment to realize that she had pinned the older half-Saiyajin to the ground. He stared at her in amazement and grinned. "So, you got me." He teased. Shanaa stuck her tongue out at him and folded her arms over her chest. "Now that I've won, I wonder what my prize is..." She started to lean forward, her mouth nearing his. "I know... my prize... is..." She stopped just before her lips touched his. "Your... phone!" She grabbed his yellow cell phone from his pants pocket and ran giggling from the gym. "HEY!" Goten called after her, standing up to retrieve his phone. Shanaa stood behind her aunt Harmony and grinned, waving his phone at him before she stuffed it down her sports bra.
"Well Goten, seems Serena's going to have to have a talk with you..." Harmony motioned to his pants. Goten looked down and turned red. The front of his jeans were pushed out like a tent. "Um..." He started. Vejita burst out laughing on the couch and shook his head. "Typical. All my girls have been able to do that to someone at some point!" He roared with laughter and slapped his knee. Shanaa turned red and looked the other way, taking Goten's phone out of her bra and tossing it to him. It was quite possible that she was even more embarrassed than he was. She coughed a little and walked away as her father and Goku came into the room, staring at Goten. "What happened to you, 'Ten?" Trunks asked. "Your daughter sat on me and tried to kiss me. That's what." Goten grumbled, walking up the stairs to his own room. Goku shook his head and sighed. "I think this wishing that we were younger thing is going to blow up in Shanaa's face." He muttered to Trunks. Trunks gave a nod and closed his eyes. "She'll learn... soon enough."
Shanaa sat on her bed, glaring at the wall as if wishing it would burst into flames or something. She didn't hear the knock at her door and was startled to see her mother standing next to her, hands on hips and a creepy smile plastered to her face. "You're turning out like me, Shanaa-chan. I swear to Kami that you'll be dating Goten within a week or my name isn't Serengeta Vejita Breifs, and it is." She winked at her daughter and sat down. "So, what didja do to him?" She asked, staring at her daughter as though she was waiting for her best friend to dish out some juicy details. "I sat on him and took his phone from his pocket. That's all. We were training and I pinned him. Big deal..." Shanaa answered, rolling her eyes. "But you gave him a hard-on, Shanaa, or did you ignore that little detail?" Serena watched her youngest daughter blush and giggled a little. "So? The guys at school get that way when I walk by. It's a thing I tend to ignore, Kaasan." She murmured, lying back on her bed. "Do you like him, Shanaa?" Serena asked. Shanaa shrugged. "He's cute, but Mom, I don't WANT a Son man for a boyfriend. I don't want to live out one of your stories." She sighed and looked up at the ceiling. Serena nodded. She understood the feeling. After Gohan and Goku, she swore to herself that she would no longer touch any man from that clan. "Serena?" The older female looked up at Trunks and smiled. "Yeah, Koibito?" Trunks motioned her out of the room and closed the door, leaving Shanaa alone on the other side. "I'm going to ask Shanaa to reverse this wish of hers. It's taking a toll on a few of us..." Serena stared at her mate. "No, Trunks. Leave her be. Let her find out for herself, alright? She IS still a child, she needs to learn how to correct her own mistakes." Trunks hesitated before he nodded and followed Serena downstairs. Shanaa sighed and closed her eyes, unsure of exactly when she fell asleep.

Well, well, well. Not bad for the first chapter, eh?
I wanted it to be a little long for my own reasons and it turned out
almost exactly the way I pictured it. ^_^
Leave your comments and I will PERSONALLY thank you.
