Chapter 2: rain on me.

 

The sky had turned thick and grey over at Capsule Corp, Vegeta looked out the window as rain started to drizzle to the ground. He could sense something was going to happen, he just didn't know what.

 

“Why did it have to start raining when I want to go shopping!” Bra said in a disappointment, bringing Vegeta out of his musings.

 

“Bra Briefs! You should be studying for your history exam” Bulma chided, she sat down into a chair and picked up a magazine and started to flick through it. Vegeta sat down next to her and picked up a drink.

 

“But I want to go shopping! There's a sale on.” Bra moaned

 

“Do what your mother says Bra”

 

“Yes Daddy”

 

“If you go study for an hour, I'll take you shopping afterwards.”

 

“Oh thank you daddy, you're the best.” She wrapped her arms around his neck then skipped out the room.

 

“Your too soft on her Vegeta.” Bulma said sipping a drink.

 

“School is meaningless, she should at least be doing something useful with her spare time.” Vegeta replied

 

“DOING SOMETHING USEFUL!” Bulma shouted,

 

“Oh shut up woman.” Vegeta pulled Bulma onto his lap.

 

“I'll give you something useful to do in the meantime.” Bulma said leaning in for a kiss.

 

A blast suddenly shot through the wall, heading towards the couple. Vegeta flung Bulma out of the way in time but he got hit, which sent him careening through the other wall. He looked back in quickly to check on Bulma. Bulma put her hand on her head and groaned.

 

“Bulma get Bra and get out of here now” Vegeta shouted

 

“But…”

 

“Damn it woman, do it now!” Vegeta flew out into the open sky, the rain was pouring onto face and body. He looked around to see what had caused it but he couldn't see anything.

 

Goku suddenly appeared out of nowhere before Vegeta, and fisted him hard in the stomach. Vegeta keeled over and strained to look up.

 

“Wh-who are you? You're a Saiyan”

 

“Father no, stop!” Gohan yelled

 

“Father? ….Kakarot?” Vegeta looked stunned, he knew that Goku wasn't an alley anymore but an enemy, he looked into Goku's eyes and for the first time in his life felt true fear.
