"I'll be back in a few hours mom!" I called out to Mrs. Briefs before I escaped through the front door, Bulma's purse in hand. I pulled out a capsule and tossed it; a mint 1970 Hemi Cuda 383 appearing.

I swear, I could of wet myself.

"Bulma honey, I take it back. You have great taste."

Hoping in, I turned the engine over, pressed the clutch and shifted to gear, my body tingling at the beautiful engine roar. I was just about to pull away, when Vegeta's glove clad hand slammed onto the door, making me jump, my foot left the clutch, and the car died.

"You idiot! Do you know what that does to the gears! What do you want!" I screamed at him, not even attempting to keep my temper in check. He blinked at me, shocked at the out burst. But soon, his cool exterior surfaced again.

"Where do you think your going woman? You need to fix the Gravity Room."

I opened my mouth for a witty retort, but thought better of it. In fact, a lovely idea seemed to have slipped past my nasty attitude at that moment. My lips spread into a sickeningly sweet smile.

"I'll make a deal with you Vegeta. If you can handle my driving, I'll fix your gravity room."

He made a sound that was half laugh, half grunt.

"You can't be serious."

"Aww, is the mighty Saiyan Prince afraid of a woman driver?"

His back wend rigid and his scowl depended.

Go me.

"Layla! Don't provoke him!"

I cocked my head a little, motioning towards the passenger's seat.

"Come on Vegeta. I promise it won't be that bad. All you have to do is ride with me, then you get your Gravity Room back." Again I flashed him that cheesy innocent grin. I'm sure he could see right through it, but he didn't let on. With a small grunt, he stepped over to the other side of the car, showing a lot less enthusiasm than I had when getting in. He slumped down in the seat, his arms crossed as usual.

"Make this quick." he mumbled. I only grinned and started the car again. Man if he only knew what he had gotten himself into. I again slammed my foot down on the clutch, shot it into gear, and slammed the gas. I tried not to laugh as Vegeta's hand clamped onto the door when the tires squealed, leaving a cloud of bluish smoke behind and we took off with a jolt.

"WOMAN! SLOW DOWN!" he screamed over the wailing of the tires and the roar of the engine. We were headed for the front gate; and it was still closed. I honked the horn, never letting up on the gas. The attendant looked up from his newspaper. The look on his face was just priceless. He ran inside the small building and pushed the button that would open the gate for us. I pressed the clutch again, skipping over a gear to go into 3rd. We barely missed side swiping the gates as I cornered hard, sending us skidding sideways into traffic. I could only hope that Vegeta's grip on the door was tight. I didn't want him flying out of the car after all. I righted the wheel, keeping my speed at a constant, and started to weave in and out of the other cars.

"Woman, there's a red light. Woman! Red light!"

Oh I heard him, but that doesn't mean I was listening. I pushed the gas further down, the cars around us becoming a blur. I heard honking and angry shouts, screeching tires. I went through the intersection, cars all around me slamming on their own breaks to avoid the accident that I invited to happen. But, we made it past, unscathed.

"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND LAYLA!" Bulma was screaming at me. I threw my head back and laughed, Vegeta staring at me wide eyed. I saw the entrance to the mall, and without using the turn signal, I slid another few feet and pulled in, the car bouncing as we drove over the speed bumps. Claiming a parking space near the entrance, we stopped, and I cut the engine. I turned to Vegeta and smiled. He looked like a deer caught in head lights. He turned his head slowly to face me, shock still apparent on his face.

"You're crazy." he managed to breath out.

"Yes. Yes I am." My grin widened. He was making this too easy!

"Would you like me to bring you back to CC now?"

"NO! I'll fly." his voice sounded a little panicky, which made me smile even more. He opened the door, which now had finger dents in it from our little drive, and pushed off, flying as fast as he could towards the CC building.

"You're never allowed to drive again!"

"Oh hush. You have to admit, the look on his face was worth it."

Oh but this was going to be fun. Recapsulizing the car, I headed for the mall, only hoping that they sold clothes that I could deal with.
