Chapter 9
Goten had gone home afterwards, sad that he had caused such a mess. But when Tifa reassured him with a kiss, all thoughts left his mind, and he had flown home in pure bliss. And that left her...? Alone in Hell. That's where that left her. Gently she shook her head to clear it of all the stress and went up to her room. On her way she saw Gail peeping out of her own room.
"Who was that? Your boyfriiieend??" Gail teased. Tifa nearly turned scarlet, but she kept herself calm. "Nah... couldn't be, he was cute and who would want to go out with you? Unless he's blind!"
Ooh that brat...Tifa thought. She nearly snarled, but calmed herself and said, with a smirk, "Yeah, you're right, he's not my boyfriend...he's my fiancée." She grinned as Gail's smile fell, and she walked into her room and locked it, thinking Not to mention we're already married by our terms. Maybe that didn't leave her in Hell after all.

When Goten got home, he found Trunks waiting for him on the steps. "Where have you been, man? Up to no good, huh?" Trunks always did like to tease.
Goten landed next to him and laughed. "Now what gave you that idea?" He was trying his best to look innocent, but it wasn't fooling Trunks.
"Only the fact that your parents told me what happened. Tifa, huh? Didn't know you went for the brainy type." Trunks was leaning against the house casually and trying not to laugh.
Goten blushed and laughed before adding, "Brainy my foot! If she really had to I think she could kick either one of our butts."
"Yours maybe... I'm stronger, remember?"
"Huh, in what universe?"
"All of 'em. We'll go settle this right now in my dad's gravity room if you want."
Both boys had sparks in their eyes as they sped off towards Bulma's place and the gravity room.

They had to wrap their little sparring match up when Vegeta came in to train. He had almost literally thrown them out when he noticed something was different about Goten. He stopped in his tracks and turned around to look at Goten as the boys were walking out the door.
"You took a mate, Goten?" Vegeta's voice wasn't dull the way it usually was when he wasn't battling or fighting with his wife. It had some of that, it's an interesting battle-spark in it. And it wasn't really a question.
Goten turned to look at Vegeta and tried not to blush too horribly. He scratched his head in embarrassment and nodded, "Um, yeah. She's a saiyan like you and Dad." Which was probably the worst thing he could've said.
"What??!!!" Vegeta looked as shocked as he could've been under the circumstances. His eyes were bugged out and he was shaking. His head dropped and he practically whispered, "That's...that's impossible. Kakarot and I are the last full-blooded saiyans alive." He looked up at Goten with determination written all over his face. "You have to bring her here, soon. I have to know how this is possible. If she was alive, somehow her parents escaped Frieza's slaughter. I must know how that happened."
With renewed vigor he turned to Goten and looked him straight in the eye. "Promise me you will bring her here, Goten."
Goten gulped and stammered, "Uh, well, I...that is..."
"Promise!!"
"Yes! Okay, okay... I will."
"Good!" And with that, Vegeta threw the boys out and commenced his training.

"Sheeesh, Goten. Why'd you have to go and rile my dad up for?" Trunks shot Gotten a discouraging look as they walked down the hallway.
"Wasn't like I meant to. And Tifa's gonna be really upset 'cuz I told her she wouldn't have to talk about that stuff to anyone."
