Goten slowly approached Trunks' office. He turned the doorknob and walked in, "sir, you wanted to see me?" he said.

Trunks smiled and stood up, "Goten you don't have to do that sir crap," he said.

Goten smirked, "well, what is it?"

Trunks stood up and looked at Goten, "We have gained word that the aliens are going back in time to eliminate me and I'm sending you back to stop them."

Goten looked at him strangely for a second, "What do you mean by send me back?"

"Fallow me," Trunks said walking out of his office and heading towards a lab.

Trunks opened the door and walked in, "My mom and 18 have been working on a device for the last year to travel back in time," he said looking at Goten, "and I have chosen you to go back in time and stop the Adrions."

"How did you know about this a year ago?"

"Goten, it happened to me when I was 19 when all of you left for the summer and left me all alone to run Capsule Corporation."

"And you never told me?"

Trunks shook his head, "I didn't want to change the future."

Goten grinned at him, "What the hell are you talking about? Look around, each day all of us out our lives on the line and this could have been avoided?"

Trunks nodded and smiled, "Goten, you'll soon see why I didn't want to change the future."

Bulma walked up beside them, "Goten, you should go and say goodbye there's a chance you might not come back."

Goten nodded and walked out of the room, What does he mean by you'll soon see why I didn't want to change the future. Maybe something happens when I go back. He wondered down the hall of underground base and into a room. He saw Gohan lying on the couch asleep, "Gohan," he said shaking him a bit.

Gohan looked at him for a second then closed his eyes again, "Goten, I only have 2 hrs and I want to get some sleep."

"I came to say goodbye, so goodbye."

Gohan's eyes opened and he sat up, "What do you mean by that?"

Goten smirked, "I've got a mission and I might not come back."

Gohan gave him a hug and looked at him, "Come back alive."

"I'll try," he said as he walked over to the table and sat down.

He grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil and started to write a letter.

Dear: dad, Pan and Videl

I have received word that I will be sent on a mission into the past. I will leave later today and I'm writing this letter to say goodbye just encase I don't come back.

Love, Goten

Goten dropped the pencil and walked over to the door, "Gohan, make sure dad gets that letter," he said as he walked out the door.

He walked down the hall and knocked on another door. The door opened and Bra stood there, "Hey Goten," she said letting him in.

He walked in and looked at her, "I came to say goodbye."

Bra looked at him, "Trunks is sending you on another mission?"

Goten smiled and nodded, "yep but this is going to be different I'm going into the past."

A puzzled look grow over Bra's face, "How are you going back in time?"

"Your mother and 18 have made a time machine."

Bra smiled, "Oh, well, that's good you'll be able to see your mother again."

Goten shook his head, "Remember the summer when Trunks ran Capsule Corporation?"

"You mean the summer when all of us except Trunks went to Miami?"

Goten nodded and sat down, "That's where I'm going."

"Don't die," she said as she hugged him.

He hugged her back and said with a smiled, "I won't."

"Can you tell the others I say goodbye?"

Bra nodded and watched him walk out of the room. He walked down the hall and into the lab. He looked around and saw Bulma standing behind a desk. He walked up and said, "Ok where is this time machine?"

She smiled and handed him a watch, "Ok, to travel back in time click this button and to reverse to go back into the future press that button. When you get there press this button and a number should come on the screen that number is the number of Adrion that are in that time on Earth and how far away they are. Got it?"

Goten nodded and started to put on the watch. He froze and looked at her, "I have to say one last goodbye so I'll travel from there, Bye," he said walking out the door.

He headed down the hall and into Trunks' office. Trunks stood up and walked over, "I guess you came to say bye."

Goten nodded, "So see ya," he said hugging him.

He let go and toke a step back. He lifted his arm, pressed the button and vanished. Trunks looked towards the place where Goten was standing and said, "Please come back soon."

"Stay out of trouble," Bulma said as she hugged Trunks.

Trunks smiled and hugged her back, "You know me."

Bulma let go of him and waved, "That's why I'm scared and remember you have a meeting at four."

Trunks smiled and waved to everyone. He walked over to Goten and his family, "See you guys," Trunks said.

They walked towards the flight and waved as they went. Trunks started to walk out of the airport, "Damnit, you should have hug him, Trunks."

He walked out of the airport and flew into the air. He looked in the direction of his house and flew off.

When he got there he looked at the clock and yawned, "I have 3 hours," He sat down on the couch watching TV.
