How it all Began-Part 11
The guys did their own special fighting pose as Ginyu looked on in fear. “I’ve got a funny feeling.” Said Krillin.

“Do you think we can beat him daddy?” Asked Gohan.

“Yes, I’m sure of it son. But it’s defiantly going to feel strange fighting against my own body.” Said Goku.

“Right now, it’s not your body I want, it’s the demon inside it. I want that bastard back in his own body before I kill him. The last thing I want is you trapped in that freak’s body.” Said Tanya, claws at the ready.

Ginyu snarled as he clenched his fists. “Let’s go!” Yelled Goku.

~~~Inside the ship.~~~

Jeice fired a load of red energy blasts in Vegeta’s direction. Vegeta just ran through them but was met with a forearm in his face as Jeice pushed him back into the wall. “If you though you’d seen the last of me, think again!” He shouted, aiming his fist at Vegeta’s face.

But Vegeta moved out of the way and Jeice punched through a pipe. He took it out and turned towards Vegeta. “Jeice, when are you going to learn that you don’t stand a chance against me?” Asked Vegeta.

This time, Jeice could not make a witty comeback. “Look, I’m really tired of wasting my time toying with you.” Vegeta continued.

Jeice decided he’d had enough and flew up towards the roof.

~~~Outside.~~~

Ginyu gained the upper hand again and sent Gohan, Goku and Krillin sailing away from him. Jeice flew up out of the ship, but Vegeta fazed in front of him and gave him a kick to his face. Then he went after him and chopped him in the side, breaking a few ribs and making Jeice cough up blood. Bulma watched as Vegeta raised his hand to blast Jeice. “Vegeta! No!” Jeice yelled.

Tanya heard this and turned towards them “Vegeta! No! Don’t do it!” She cried out.

But she didn’t see Ginyu sneak up behind her and grab her. Tanya screamed, getting Vegeta’s attention. Goku looked up in shock. He didn’t understand the sudden switch from bravery to absolute fear in Tanya. But Krillin and Gohan did. “Let her go you jerk!” Yelled Gohan, flying towards Ginyu.

But stopped when Ginyu gathered an energy ball in his hand and aimed it to Tanya’s mid-section. “Make one more move and I’ll blow her into 2 separate pieces!” Ginyu warned.

“Hiding behind a woman Ginyu? We didn’t think you were that much of a coward!” Shouted Goku.

“I’m not a coward, just an opportunist. Vegeta, back away from my team member, or I’ll kill her! You’ve already killed 3 of my men today, you’re not getting the last one!”

“No captain! Please, don’t hurt her!” Yelled Jeice.

Goku and Vegeta looked at him in surprise. “What? Do you think me capable of what he did? Vegeta, I didn’t take part in what happened to her! I thought you knew that?!” Jeice continued.

“Tanya told me you didn’t, but since you didn’t do anything to stop it, I thought you just didn’t give a damn!” Shouted Vegeta.

“I’ve regretted not doing anything for the past 4 years Vegeta. She’s the closest thing I have to family.”

“But you were bragging about how you wanted her mother!”

“Wanted to get her away from Zarbon! Do you really think he loved Dianna? The man just wanted the best lover he could get! Why do you think he went to Frieza after she died and did nothing when Frieza handed Tanya to Ginyu!? He didn’t love them, it was all a lie!”

Tanya stiffened in Ginyu’s arms. “So now you finally know. Your father never wanted a little half-breed. He wanted a half-breed daughter even less. But he played you and your mother along like the little puppets you were. When Dianna was killed, he was finally free to be the ruthless killed he wanted to be. And do you wanted to know something else, it was him who tipped of Frieza to your little escape plan, not Cooey.” Laughed Ginyu.

“Let her go now Ginyu!” Yelled Vegeta.

“Or what!”

But then he felt Tanya’s claws dig into his arm. He yelled and tried to pull it away, only to find that he couldn’t. “I didn’t want to damage this body because I had to get Goku back into it. But now, I think I’ll let Vegeta cut lose on it. From what I hear, this body did him a lot of damage on Earth. I think he’s owed a little payback!” Said Tanya.

Vegeta smirked at her as she threw Ginyu his way. He flew at him and punched him in his gut, then one to his face that sent him flying away, back towards Tanya. She kicked him in the back, and Vegeta flew up and drove both his fists in to Ginyu’s mid-section. Ginyu landed hard on the ground. When the smoke cleared, he was laying practically motionless. Goku looked on at the state Ginyu was in, as did Krillin and Gohan. “What happened?” Krillin asked fearfully.

“The winner!” Shouted Vegeta, powering up and launching like a missile at the prone captain Ginyu.

“I’ll get you!” Ginyu hissed.

“That’s enough Vegeta! He can’t fight back!” Yelled Goku.

But Vegeta wasn’t listening and continued flying at high speed. “It’s time to change bodies.” Thought Ginyu.

“What! He’s changing!” Cried Goku.

Tanya gasped and began flying towards Vegeta. “CHANGE NOW!” Yelled Ginyu.

“Oh no! I gotta cut off Vegeta fast!” Yelled Goku, as he flew towards them.

The yellow aure rose up from captain Ginyu. Vegeta gasped as he saw it and tried to slow down, but he couldn’t stop. “Vegeta, look out!” Yelled Goku.

Goku managed to get in front of the blast at the last moment as Tanya flew at Vegeta and knocked him out of the way. Then, the 2 souls switched back into their original bodies. Tanya and Vegeta flew out of the way of Ginyu’s body, knowing that the original monster was back inside it. Ginyu landed a few feet away from Goku. “What’s this? My whole body? Ah, it’s you!” Ginyu yelled at Goku.

Goku, even though he was racked with pain, began laughing. “Yep, I got my body back.” He said happily.

“What’s going on here? Is this Kakarot or is this Ginyu?” Asked Vegeta.

“I think Goku is back in his body. Which means that bastard Ginyu is back in his.” Hissed Tanya.

“Is my dad alright?” Asked Gohan.

“With the way he was hit with that powerful light beam, I’m not so sure.” Said Krillin.

“The light beam won’t have done anything to him. That was just their spirits returning to their bodies.” Said Tanya.

“She’s right Krillin! Look, my dad’s back in his old body!” Yelled Gohan.

“So that means Captain Ginyu is back to his old self.” Said Vegeta.

Ginyu looked at his blood covered hand. “I must finish the transfer with Vegeta. Then I can defeat them!” He thought.

“C’mere Hot shot, I wanna piece of you!” He shouted at Vegeta.

“Over my dead body!” Yelled Goku.

Ginyu turned to see Goku struggle to his feet. Goku put his hand together and began gathering energy for the Kamehameha wave. “No way, he can’t pull this off.” Whispered Tanya.

“But it’ll be interesting to watch him try.” Said Vegeta.

Goku’s vision began to blur but he still aimed at Ginyu. “Ka…me…hame…HAAAAA!”

But the wave weaved around Ginyu and landed somewhere into the distance. “Man, I can’t control my energy just yet.” Goku said weakly as he began to fall backwards.

Tanya fazed behind him, but she saw Jeice come up and catch him. “Hahaha, pathetic saiyan. You lose and I win.” Laughed Ginyu.

Jeice laid him down and rested his head on Tanya’s lap as she knelt down beside them. “Easy mate, save your energy.” He said.

“But…I must keep fighting…If Captain Ginyu changes body’s with Vegeta, we’ll all be history…and I won’t let that happen!” Cried Goku.

Vegeta growled and flew at Ginyu. “From the looks of it, neither will Vegeta.” Said Tanya.

Ginyu turned towards Vegeta’s on coming attack. “Come and get it, ‘cause now you’re mine!” Yelled Ginyu.

But as Ginyu prepared for the transfer, Vegeta fazed out and appeared behind him. As Ginyu turned, he was met with an onslaught of fists and feet. Vegeta quickly gained the upper hand and sent Ginyu flying into a rock face and sending a barrage of energy blasts after him. Afterwards, Vegeta landed to see Ginyu haul himself up. “Strong work, impressive.” Ginyu said.

This angered Vegeta, going right back on the attack. “Why isn’t Ginyu fighting back?” Asked Tanya.

“Don’t you see, Ginyu is letting him win to switch with his body! We have to warn Vegeta!” Said Goku.

“I think I’ll do one better.”

She rose from her position and ran to find something, quickly spotting a bull frog. “Nice.” She said, grabbing the tiny creature.

“Tanya, what are you up to?” Asked Jeice.

“Watch and see.” She said, flying towards the battle field.

Bulma was watching Vegeta’s fight. She suddenly realised what Ginyu was up to as well. “No, I have to stop him.” She said.

Then Ginyu got in a lucky shot and sent Vegeta flying 10 feet away. Vegeta landed face first into the ground. “Now’s the time Vegeta! You’re body is now mine!!” Yelled Ginyu, preparing for the transfer once again.

“NO!” Yelled Goku, seeing that it was too late.

Tanya flew towards them, preparing to throw the frog. Vegeta got up and saw Ginyu shoot the yellow energy beam at him. Then, someone rammed into him and pushed him out of the way. Vegeta landed with this person on top of him. Tanya threw the frog and the beam. Ginyu yelled when he saw the frog go in front of the beam. Then, in a flash of light, it was over. The guy’s uncovered their eyes to see Ginyu and the frog land. Vegeta opened his eyes to see a lock of blue hair in his face and his arms wrapped around a slim waist. “What the…? Woman?” Vegeta gasped.

“I’ve already told you, my name is Bulma.” She answered.

He sat up, taking her with him. “What in the hell possessed you to do that wo…Bulma?” He asked, though there was no anger in his voice.

“You’ve saved me countless times today Vegeta. I had to return the favour somehow.” Bulma answered.

Vegeta looked at her in shock. Tanya landed beside Goku and Jeice, a smug grin on her face. “Tanya, did you just do what I think you did?” Asked Jeice.

“I found an even sweeter revenge than killing him Jeice.” Said Tanya.

Ginyu began to croak and they all understood. “Why kill him when he can live like that? Who do you know that would want to live as a frog.” She continued, kneeling beside Jeice and Goku.

“You…must be a mind reader. That… was my idea.” Said Goku.

“Great minds think alike.”

Krillin and Gohan landed beside Goku, making Jeice back off. “Are you OK Goku?” Asked Krillin.

“Speak to me Dad.” Begged Gohan.

Vegeta got up, as did Bulma, and they went over to Goku. “Hey, you must have done something to deserve this guardian angel to watch over you Vegeta. She’s one of a kind.” Said Goku, making Tanya blush with embarrassment.

“Right. Now does someone want to explain this to me? What in the hell just happened?” Asked Vegeta.

“You don’t get it, do you Vegeta? Just take a look at that frog over there and say hello to Captain Ginyu.”

“What?”

The frog suddenly began to sweat. He croaked innocently, but Vegeta had already caught on. “Well, it looks to me like it’s frog stomping time.” Said Vegeta.

Ginyu the frog jumped a clear 3 feet and began hopping away. Vegeta was about to go after him when Tanya grabbed his arm. “We have bigger things to worry about than him. Besides, we know he can do anymore damage like that.” Said Tanya.

“She’s right Vegeta. It won’t be long before Frieza catches wind of what we’re doing.” Said Jeice.

Goku buckled under his own weight. “Goku!” Cried Bulma.

“Daddy.” Cried Gohan.

“We’ve got to do something now!” Yelled Krillin.

“Follow me.” Said Vegeta.

“Where are we going?”

“We’re going inside the ship. And bring Kakarot with you.”

Vegeta grabbed on to Bulma’s waist. “Hey, let go of her!” Yelled Gohan.

“Oh please! If I’d have wanted to hurt the woman, I would’ve done it by now! Would you like me to leave her out here, so when Frieza shows up, she’s the first to die?!” Asked Vegeta.

They all shook their heads. “I didn’t think so, now come on!” Yelled Vegeta, flying up towards the ships entrance.

Tanya and Jeice followed with Krillin, Gohan and Goku bringing up the rear. Vegeta flew in through the entrance and landed gently with Bulma. She took one look at the bodies and cringed behind Vegeta. The others landed as well. “Man, you 2 really cut lose in here.” Gasped Jeice.

Gohan and Krillin shuddered. “This way.” Said Vegeta, taking the lead again.

They walked through a few halls, Vegeta simply kicking the bodies out of the way. They stopped in front of a door. “In here.” Said Vegeta.

“You first.” Said Krillin.

Vegeta opened the door and the Earthlings walked in. They saw 2 huge machines. “By tapping into this system, we should have Kakarot up to speed in no time.” Said Vegeta, walking over to one.

“What are they?” Asked Gohan.

Vegeta began knocking things off a table while Tanya went to the machine. Unfortunatly, Vegeta knocked over a box of surgical tools, including…“A NEEDLE!” Shouted Goku.

He then tried to turn tail and run out of the infirmary, but with Krillin and Jeice holding on to him, he didn’t get very far. “OH NO! NO! I HATE NEEDLES! GET ME OUTTA HERE! GET ME OUTTA HERE! PLEASE! I’D RATHER BE SICK THAN GET A NEEDLE!” Goku yelled, his pitch increasing with each sentence.

“Would you shut up already! I’m not even giving you a needle! Big Sap!” Yelled Vegeta.

“Oh, never mind then.”

“C’mon brave heart, let’s get you in here.” Said Tanya, coming over to help Goku into the chamber.

She sat him down in the machine and attached the mask and wires. “Now just relax. It’s nice in there, trust me on that.” Said Tanya, closing the lid.

“Well you should know, you’ve been in there more times than me.” Said Vegeta starting up the machine.

Within moments, the chamber began to fill up with a green coloured liquid. “What is this thing?” Asked Krillin.

“It’s called an isolation chamber, it’ll have Kakarot’s strength back in no time. The liquid is this capsule is synthetic Saiyan DNA, which will penetrate his every pore and make him as good as new.” Answered Vegeta.

“Wow, mondo cool.” Said Krillin.

“Well, what did you expect? We’re warriors, but we get hurt like everyone else. And since it happens often, we needed a way to get healed fast.” Said Tanya.

“So that’s how you got your eye back.” Said Gohan.

“Yes, although I still wished Kakarot hadn’t stooped so low as to try and steal my sight.” Said Vegeta.

Bulma was looking at the tank in awe, until Vegeta gave her a funny look. “What are you looking at woman?” He snapped.

“Nothing!” Bulma snapped back.

Vegeta turned back to the chamber and Bulma turned away. “This chamber is one of the older models, but it shouldn’t take too long before Kakarot’s back to normal.” Said Vegeta, changing the subject.

“Older models? Where are the new ones?” Asked Gohan.

“I kinda broke it, but don’t worry, this one will work fine.”

“Uh, he’s not gonna drown in there, is he?” Asked Krillin.

“I was just thinking the same thing?” Thought Goku.

“Don’t worry about it guys. That’s what that mask is for. He’s breathing just fine in there.” Said Tanya.

“Alright, everything seems to be in order here. As you for you 2, I think a little armour might help you 2 out.” Said Vegeta.

“Excuse me, but what do you mean armour?” Asked Krillin.

“Yeah, that was my next question.” Said Gohan.

Vegeta turned and walked out of the room. “C’mon you guys, it’s time to get cleaned up.” Said Tanya.

Krillin, Gohan and Bulma followed her and Jeice out and they went to catch up with Vegeta. He walked into a wash room and the others walked in. “Wow!” Said Gohan.

“You’re excited over seeing a bathroom?” Vegeta said sarcastically.

“Hey, if you hadn’t washed in over a week, you’d be glad to see one too. Show me the showers!” Shouted Bulma.

Tanya pointed to her left and Bulma made a beeline for the showers. Vegeta, Tanya and Jeice looked at her strangely. Krillin and Gohan began to wash up. “All the gadgets they’ve got here are pretty high tech, don’t you think?” Said Krillin.

“Yeah.” Answered Gohan.

He walked towards Tanya and had 2 body suits thrown at his feet. “Here, put these one under your clothes. Hurry, there’s not much time.” Said Vegeta.

Krillin pulled his shirt over his head. “I guess we should do what Goku said to us and trust him, for now.” Said Krillin.

“Yeah, I guess.” Said Gohan, pulling off his socks.

Vegeta began fiddling with the armour holders. “This is the armour I was talking about. It’s a much older model than mine, but it should work almost as well.” He continued, throwing 2 pieces of armour at Gohan and Krillin.

“Gee, how do get into these things?” Asked Krillin.

“I don’t know, I can’t find the instructions.” Said Gohan.

“Man, you really were pampered little guy.” Said Tanya.

“Slide them over your heads you idiots. And if you still can’t manage it, I’ll come over there and force them down for you. The armour is expandable, I was wearing that type of armour when I fought you on Earth.” Said Vegeta.

Gohan began examining his armour. “Cool, elastic.” He said, pulling the armour over his head.

“Vegeta, are the shoes and gloves made from the same material?” Asked Krillin.

“I guess.” Mumbled Vegeta.

Tanya watched as Krillin did a front flip and began bragging about the advantage they’d have, when she noticed Vegeta leaning against the wall. “Vegeta?” Asked Tanya.

“What’s the problem?” Asked Krillin.

“No…no problem.” He answered.

But Tanya wasn‘t convinced. “I don’t mean to be picky, but your outfit seems to give you more mobility than ours…and it looks better too.” Moaned Krillin.

“Excuse me Mr. Hotpants, but this isn’t a fashion show you know.” Said Vegeta.

“I think they’re both functional and stylish and I think mine’s great. See how easy it is to move.” Said Gohan.

“Try wearing it for 6 months straight, then see how you feel.” Said Tanya.

But then they saw Vegeta wiping his forehead. “Are you sure you’re OK?” Asked Krillin.

“Hush, will you mind your own business!” Said Vegeta.

“Oh, excuse me for living. But tell us this, how long till Goku is normal again?”

“Let’s see, I’d estimate with his height and weight, the process shouldn’t take more than an hour.”

“Good, then I think I should take a quick trip to Guru’s.”

“What? Why Krillin?” Asked Tanya.

“Because for us to use the Dragonballs, we need the password. If I make it in time, I can the password and be back for us to call the dragon.” Said Krillin.

“I’ll go with you.” Said Gohan.

“No, you stay here with Goku. Catch you later?”

With that, Krillin ran to the exit of the ship.

Next time: Tanya and Gohan watch over Goku and help Jeice plan to get off planet Namek before Frieza finds out he betrayed Ginyu. And with Vegeta stricken with an unknown ailment, Bulma takes it upon herself to find out what’s wrong with him.
