Chapter 19

Vegeta sat looking at the baby holding on to her push toy. She stood there looking at him with extreme loathing in her eyes. Aiko did not like being pushed into anything. This walking thing was not her idea of a good time. Not when there was a perfectly good grandfather just sitting there, looking at her. Shouldn't he be carrying her around or fetching bottles or something useful? What could he be thinking about? Obviously he had not had his afternoon nap and his thinking was being impaired. Stupid, Stupid adults.

"Walk." Vegeta commanded.

Aiko used the only word in her vocabulary right back at him "no."

Vegeta chuckled "NO?" Aiko watched as he pulled up a bottle and tossed it half way across the lawn. "Walk."

Well the no word was out of the question. AH ha. Tears. Tears always worked on the big people. Aiko pointed to her bottle and wailed. Huge, fat tears whelmed up in her eyes. Her little lip pouting as she stuck it out as far as she could. She glanced over to see the effect. Vegeta was smirking at her his arms crossed as he stood up. Aiko screamed louder, her tiny legs giving way and her bottom connecting with the grass. Her parent's would have been running around insanely at this point trying to quell her screams. Aiko screamed again. They had left her a defective adult. She looked up at him, her face going red in her rage. Aiko's tiny hands balling up in fists, and he legs pounding her heels into the earth.

Vegeta laughed again this time with more mirth. Aiko glared at him and he cocked up and eyebrow at her. Then the word came again "Walk."

Defective!! She thought delusional! What else was wrong with this picture? She looked over at the bottle a world away. Fine I will go get it. She rolled to her hand and knees and began crawling to her goal.

"OH no you don't!" Vegeta grabbed her and set her to feet. Aiko tottered and then stood there shakily. Looking up she glared again. "You are walking. TODAY. Understand."

Aiko wanted to gnash her teeth. To bad she didn't; have any. Yet. But she frowned and made a mental note. As soon as I get teeth I am biting that man. Aiko pointed "BA BA!" there I spoke a new word. That'll do it. She looked up joyfully.

Vegeta just looked at her his eyes saying what he did not. SO? Aiko blinked. She was running out of options here. Okay there was one thing left to do. It was low and cruel. But some one had to taught this adult a lesson. She closed her eyes and concentrated hard.

Vegeta watched her tiny face squish up as and unpleasant odor filled the air. Grabbing his face to protect his nose he saw the look of pure victory on Aiko's face. With a growl he yelled "Bulma!! Your grand child needs!" To Aiko he glowered "After this is taken care of you are going to walk."

Aiko smirked back. That was what he thought. After this Aiko was getting a bottle and if she didn't she was going to start watching Teletubies on a regular basis just to annoy the defective grandpa.

Trunks leaned back and watched his lawyers and Gina Devero's stare into each other. It was a cold war. Both team trying to deal to their advantage. Gina looked over at Trunks blankly. There was something in her eyes that made him nervous. She knows something. The demi thought to him self. Some thing no one else does. What could it be?

Gina looked at her adversary. He was not backing down. It was a shame. The hit had been ordered on his daughter. In mere days he would be rushing off to another funeral. To bad he didn't have the sense to just give up and go home. But then that was a man for you. Ignoring the family for their own personal wealth. She had seen it many, many times. Men corrupted by money and power. Thomas had been her exception to that rule. It was a shame more did follow his example.

Trunks turned and shook his head. It was just hard to imagine that her was here at all. If the company had been let to him he wouldn't be doing this but there was Aiko and bra to consider. Mark had left this company in trust for Aiko and by Dende Aiko was going to have it no matter what the bitch across the room was thinking. If Trunks knew his sister and he did if Gina was to win that would just be the start of the Devero Briefs family feud. Bra already swore this was all Gina's fault. Trunks looked over at her again. H would have to say that hew thought Bra was right about that. Gina Devero had killed he son as sure as she had put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger. Trunks knew this cause he had a child of his own. Even if it meant his life he would never have risked her like Gina had risked Mark.

Then there was Melody Sanders to consider. Gina seemed to have a weak spot of the girl. If it came down to it that was a weakness that Trunks could use against her.

Bra sat back on her bed and looked at the pendant in her hands. Mark was gone and yet she cold not fined it in her heart to accept it. She though about the dragonballs but that seemed pretty drastic and it would risk then entire planet to use them. She had been told a thousand times about the negative ki held within them. Negative Ki. She wondered if Mark had the ability to negate that ki. She missed him very much. All the time they had spent seemed to boil down to a little ripple in time. It didn't seem fair. She thought about all the people around her. All that has happened in their lives Bra had heard all the stories. Maybe there was an answer there. There would have to be with out make there was not much use in her going on. He had been the one person to reach out to her and pull her out of her own personal little shell. Vegeta would probably never accept another mate for her either. Not that Bra was even intending on looking. Nope, she leaned back. There had to be an answer to this. Some way out and she was going to find it and get her man back. She was Bra Briefs and this was a promise to herself. She was not going to be denied.

Melody looked at Pan as if she had just gone nuts. "My father? You want me to take you to him?"

Pan looked across the table "Let me tell you something Melody. I totally believe that Mark murdered by your mother. You might not like the idea. Gina has great love for you, but as far as anyone knew you never existed. What kind of mother keeps her children apart?"

Melody stood up "I have heard enough! My mother did not Kill Mark! It was terribly tragic, yes. Every one is hurting from it, but blaming my mother will not being him back!"

Pan sat back "I feel sorry for you. You can't see what others see."

Melody scowled "Can I use your phone?"

Pan blinked "Why?"

"I am going to call my father. Maybe we can set up a meeting for the two of you and you will see, that my mother is not hiding anything."
