Chapter 20

Aiko toddled across the lawn. Bulma blinked in amazement as Vegeta smirked.

"How did you get her to do that?" Bulma's eyes moved over to Vegeta.

Vegeta tried to hide his smiled of over whelming pride. "She is a Saiyan. She can do a lot of things. She is merely to stubborn for her own good."

Aiko fell over and her wisps of black falling over her shoulders. In the sunlight they glowed with a dark purplish hue. Eyes narrowing in determination she pushed back to her feet. Only to find she was now facing the wrong way. Looking up she saw her grandparents looking at her. Clinching her fist in rage she raised her ki.

Vegeta felt his eyes pop open. Bulma looked at his sudden jerk. "What is it?"

Vegeta did not waste by time trying to explain he ran for the child and scooped her up. "Calm down now, Aiko. Don't get so worked up over it."

Settled in her grandpa's arms she looked up sadly "Baba." Her little lip stuck out as she rubbed her eyes.

Vegeta looked over at the bottle. "Fine, I will get it for you." He carried her over and gave her the bottle. Aiko squealed with delight. Vegeta carried the baby back to Bulma and handed her over. "I am going to train. She needs a nap." He hesitated a moment looking at Aiko as she gulped her bottle. "Come get me when she wakes up." He let his thumb brush the pudgy cheek and then walked off.

Bulma hefted Aiko against her. "You know baby, I think he really likes you."

Aiko drew her eyebrows down and looked up at her grandmother. "And wouldn't he? I am just the cutest thing EVER!"

Not far from them a man looked at Aiko though his gun scope. He could have had a clean shot if that man had not run up to her. Now the woman, Bulma Briefs was holding the baby. Joe could still take the shot, but he didn't want to kill the older woman. He was not being paid to do that. He would just wait.

"Sheeze man." His friend huffed in irritation. "Why didn't you take the shot earlier."

"Have you ever tried to hit a baby half a mile away? They have tiny heads." Turning Joe put the gun it's case and handed the binoculars to the other man. `I am the sharp shooter you are just my lookout. Now shut up and look for another opening. I wanna go home soon."

"I know ya do Jack. I feel the same way. But there is a lot of money riding on this kill."

Trunks looked at Pan as if she was insane. "What do you think this Jonathan Sanders is going to tell you? That Gina is a Psychopath?? I can tell you that. You don't need to run half way across this country for someone to tell you that!" He moved up to his wife and ran his hand into her hair and pulled her next to him. "And I am right here next to you."

Pan struggled to think. "Trunks you're cheating! You know I can't think when you do that!"

Trunks grinned, "Why do you think I do it." He let his lips touch hers gently. He knew his wife very well. If he did not squelch this idea in her head there was not telling what she was going to dug up. Trunks was in no mood to care about the Deveros and the Sanders. What he did care about was getting Pan back that hall and into the bed room. He loved his daughter like crazy, but she had really damped his sex life. He looked down at Pan who was molding up next to him. Well, Aiko was not here right now to demand her mother attention. Trunks growled with pent up desire. Once a long time ago he had told that baby she would have to share Pan. That he had found her first. Aiko must have heard, cause she didn't share anything, especially her mother.

Pan pulled back and looked up at him with her desire evident In her eyes. "I should have known better then to get within ten foot of you. You are incorrigible these days." She felt her husband lift her into his arms and hold her up against his chest as he walked down the hall.

"Is this a `we will talk about this later, dear?" Pan laughed as he walked her down the hall toward his destination.

Trunks kicked open the bedroom door "I will make you a bet! If in one hour from now you can still remember what you were saying I will listen."

Pan laughed "One hour huh.."

Trunks dropped her on the bed. "Alright I will be fair.. 2 hours."

Pan watched him pull his shirt off. "hummm 2, I don't know. I have been pretty elusive lately."

Trunk pushed her back into the pillows "Ok you win, tomorrow morning."

Pan felt his mouth breathing hot air on her neck. "OHH Trunks not another all nighter. We have to sleep sometime." Then his mouth touched the bonding mark he had made so long again and her protest went right out the window.

Melody threw the paper on the coffee shop table. Her teeth clinched. "DEVERO'S LOSE GLOBAL! Was printed across the front. She had read the entire article. Gina Devero did not stand a chance in the courts. Everyone knew that but her. Melody sat in the chair and rest her head in her hands. What was she going to do? She could not just sit her and watch as he mother had herself dragger through the mud. Ohhh. Melody rubbed her temples. She was getting lost of headaches these days.

Pan had a point what kind of mother would hide siblings from each other like Gina had. The whole bad influence thing did not wash. Melody had been allowed to relate to anyone she had ever wanted growing up. Gina had give Melody a free and loving rein. It just seemed when it came to Mark and Global she was a different Person. So different.

Melody lifted her coffee to her lips and blew it thoughtfully. Maybe Pan had the right idea. Maybe she needs to start an investigation of her own. She could got to Florida and see her father. If Melody knew about Mark now maybe she could actually ask the questions that needed answers. Melody nodded that was the best way to deal with this problem. Grab it by the jugular. Pulling up her phone she dialed. "HI MOM!, It's Melody! I am thinking maybe you were right. I am going to return to school. Yes I will be packing to night." Melody listened to her mother's happy chatter. She felt bad. Never in her adult life had Melody ever lied to her mother. It was harder then Melody though it would be. But Gina would not take well to Melody doing an investigation of her own. "Alright, start packing my things for me. I am calling the airport. No I do not need a personal Jet. All right mommy! I love you too! Ok, OK Bye now. See you in a few." Melody put her phone away feeling better. If Her father told her anything worthwhile Melody was gong to hire a PI to get this straightened out. But what were the chances of that??

Feeling much better Melody stood up and walked to her car. Not noticing the man who followed her the moment she was out the door.
