Chapter 21

Bulma pushed the swing and watched Bra pull the cover off the corvette. If Bra did not improve soon She was going to have to see professional; help. She could not go on like this, So sad and distant from every one.

Bra looked up at her mother "Mom could you help me uncover the Vette? I seem to be stuck."

"Sure give me a second." Bulma looked over at Vegeta watching in the doorway. "Can you watch Aiko for me it'll only be a second." He nodded and held on to he coffee cup staring out at his grand daughter. It seemed that the baby was never out of his eye sight for long these days. Bulma was wondering if he was obsessed with her. Vegeta normally ignored everyone, but not Aiko. Ever since the baby's traumatic birth he has been overly attached. It seemed there was a deeper bond then anyone else could comprehend. Judging from Aiko's personality Bulma wandered if she was Vegeta reincarnated early. With a quick laugh she looked at Aiko once last time.

Aiko was giggling happily as she swung. Bulma checked the straps and judged the distance to the car. Aiko would be fine in that swing. "I am coming Bra. " Bulma started across the year toward the car. She was not ten feet away when she heard the crack. After that everything went in slow motion.

Bulma looked at Bra as her daughters face fell and paled. Bulma turned and it seemed like forever before Aiko started screaming. She had been flipped over, out of her swing and hit the ground hard. She lay there shrieking in pain and terror. No one had ever hurt Aiko. This was not something her little mind knew how to handle. Instinct took over and her ki began to rise. Bulma ran to the baby, but the power coming from the child held her back. Unable to get near her granddaughter Bulma looked up to see a man with a rifle in his hand jumping into a dark blue car as it peeled tire and started to race off. Bulma did not even have to look up to see Vegeta's reaction. She could feel the rage through her bond. He sense were on fire with anger.

His yelled was ferocious. The explosion of his power up was deafening. With speed uncomprehendable to human eyes He flew forward blasting the car. The blast was not enough to disincarnate it, which he could easily do. Bulma shuddered at the evil she sensed from her husband's heart. He wanted these men to suffer at his hands. They had dared attack his only grandchild and for that they would die, but not mercifully. The car skidded and flipped several times on its side. One of the men was thrown to the side of the street free of the crumpled and twisted metal. The other remained yelling for help inside the now burning car. Vegeta advanced slowly on his prey his hands at his hips. Vegeta's eyes were dark as he faced the wounded man who watched as he approached. Slowly with deliberation Vegeta left his power rise until his body was flashing with golden light. His eyes changing from black to aqua orbs. The dark haired man stumbled back and ran to the car and began to try and pull
his accomplice from the wreckage.

"Come on Jake you have to get out. The car is going to explode and that man is possessed... He changed... I mean he just Fucking changed I..." He was pulled back and found him self-facing the pupiless eyes of an enrages Super Saiyan "Heavens be merciful."

Vegeta sneered, "You attacked my grand daughter. There will be no mercy for you." Vegeta looked at the other man trying to get out of the car. "Tell me WHY you did this?"

"We were paid." Jake tried to pull the steering wheel that was pinning him to the drivers seat.

Vegeta growled and shook Joe "WHO!"

"We don't ask about the clients." Joe clamped up.

Jake cried out in pain as the flames began to lick up his legs "It was GINE DEVERO... Get me out of this car it is going to explode!!" He screamed in agony

Joe looked over at this partner "OMG he is burning alive! Help me get him out."

"No mercy." Vegeta held the other man in place.

Joe looked up "But, But it is going to explode... We... you'll be killed...."

Vegeta laughed coldly "I am not so easy to kill."

As Jake screamed in unending agony, Joe gasped "WHAT ARE YOU."

Vegeta placed his hand in the assassin's stomach "I am the angel of death to you." With that he left his ki blast go and Joe hung limply. Vegeta tossed the body down next to his friend. So that he could see the horror of his own impending death. As he walked the car exploded and Vegeta was engulfed in the flames. Uninjured he walk out and powering down he moved to his grand daughter. She sat up and screamed as a trickle of blood flowed down the side of her face. He kneel down and thanked Dende that she had only been grazed.

"It is a mere scratch, child." Vegeta picked her up and Aiko's ki lowered. Turning to he wreckage he looked down at Aiko. "You will never be unprepared again. I will make sure of it my self."

Bulma felt the cold rage emanating from her husband as he carried his grand daughter inside.

Bra came to her mother's side. "MOM we have to take Aiko to the hospital she needs to be checked out."

Bulma shook her head. "Leave it alone, Bra." She hugged her daughter and worried about what had truly just transpired here. "Just leave them alone right now...."

The fire trunks and cops where beginning to show up at the scene. Bulma looked at Bra. "I will deal with this. Remember you saw nothing."

Bra nodded. "I am going to call Trunks. He needs to know."

Bulma sighed, "Yeas, Trunks and Pan need to come home. Some one tried to kill Aiko and I am not even going to deny I think the Bitch Gina Devero is behind it."

Bra blinked. "But... You think she would sick so low?" Bra turned and headed for the house. If Gina would try to kill Aiko what else would she do? This was all about Global. No one stood in her way aside from Aiko now that mark was dead.. Mark! Bra froze. Was it possible? DID Gina actually plan Marks demise? Bra clinched her teeth. It was not only possible ... It was likely. Gina had nothing to lose in Marks death aside from a son she did not want.

Some where in the Blue Mountains of the United states a phone rang out waking two very unsuspecting parents from their peaceful slumber...

Next chapter Trunks and Pan's reaction... Melody confronts her father about Gina. Will she get the answers she wants? AND Bra makes her plans for Her time trip...
