Prologue - Beginnings

Slowly and unsteadily, the auburn-haired girl struggled to her feet. She would not give up! Her grandfather, Doug suppressed a smile as she glared defiantly at him. Chibi Debra was a firecracker all-right. Stubborn, energetic, temperamental, and full of spunk she was quite the handful. To ease her parent's stress of raising three abnormally strong children, Doug had offered to train the eldest, Debra, in the Kamesennin style of martial arts that he himself had been schooled in. Rather than have her learn the more traditional styles her parents had learned. It would require a lot of her time, energy, and discipline as well as take a strong will for her to complete her training. But Doug was confident she could handle it.

"Come on, you can do better than that!" Debra growled in response and ran at Doug at full speed. He calmly side-stepped the charging girl and knocked her to the ground.

"Itai!! Ojiisan, that hurt!" she whined, sitting up and cradling her head between her small hands.

His back still to her, Doug decided to address a major problem of hers, "We're going to have to work on your temper. You can't lose control like that and charge blindly in a rage." Debra blinked her large, blue-gray eyes at him, listening intently to every word he said. "As a female senshi, you will be subjected to a lot of criticism and crude insults. If you want to be the best, you've got to learn to use that anger of yours. Put it aside until you need it." Finally he turned round to face her, "Let's begin again."
