Chapter 2.
Yente walked angrily towards the entrance of the ballroom. She couldn't believe she actually agreed to do this. She had screamed she would rather die then do this but here she was, dressed up in the dress Shannon picked for her, walking towards the ballroom to meet her fiancé.
She stepped into the ballroom and blinked as she got blinded by the bright lights and decorations.
“Mother.” She sighed to herself. Her mother was a great woman, but sometimes she could go a little bit overboard.
Next to her Henry, who announced the arrivals to the party, was getting ready to tell everybody she was there.
“Ladies and Gentlemen. Princess Yente, Heir to the throne of Earth, Fiancé to Prince Michael of…”
“Shut up Henry!” Yente interrupted rather loudly while glaring furiously at him. Some of the guests started to laugh softly causing Henry to flush.
“But your Highness I was just telling the guests of your arrival.”
“I said shut up! Or you'll be looking for another job!” Henry frowned.
“With all due respect Milady, there isn't a man on this planet that can do this job as well as I can.”
“Oh really?” Yente smiled sinisterly. “And tell me what good is an announcer without a tongue?” Henry gulped nervously.
“M…my apologies, your Highness.” He stuttered. “I won't bother you again.”
“Good.” Yente smirked as she walked down the staircase and into the crowd, ignoring the stares from other people.
From the moment Michael had gotten to this party, ten minutes ago, he was bored. He'd much rather train then listen to these snobbish people talk about their boring lives. `Oh well.' He thought as he grabbed another pastry. `At least the food is good.'
Suddenly he heard yelling and as he looked up he saw… HER. The pastry fell out of his mouth as he stared at her. She was gorgeous and moved with a perfect grace as she stood there screaming at a lackey. His eyes followed her as she walked down the staircase with her head held high. She walked to her parents where she has another heated discussion.
She was staring at them. First her mother and father made her come to this party and then they nag about her being mean to Henry.
Her mother simply giggled. She normally got along with her mother pretty well, as she did with her father. But this time they went to far! `How dare they decide my life for me! It's ridicules, they weren't living in the middle ages any more.'
“Listen child.” Her father said with his deep voice. She absolutely hated it when he called her child. She was a grown woman. “We are just trying to do what's best for you and the kingdom.” She felt her fury grow.
“What's best for me?” She screamed at him not caring who would hear it. “The best thing for me is to let me make my own decisions!”
Yente watched in fascination as her fathers face became red as a tomato.
“You will marry him whether you want to or not!” With that he grabbed her arm and dragged her to the buffet table. Yente tried to pull her arm free but her father was to strong.
“let me go!” She screamed. Her father ignored her and walked straight to prince Michael.
“Prince Michael?” He said while he tried to keep his anger in check. Michael looked at him.
“Yes.” He replied.
“Meet your fiancé.” With that the king threw Yente against him and walked away.
Michael blinked and looked down at the girl he was supposed to marry. This was not exactly how he'd imagined getting introduced to his fiancé.
Yente growled. She was getting pissed.
“Yente, are you alright?” Her mother asked worriedly.
“I'm just peachy mom.” She replied sarcastically. “I enjoy being thrown around like a rag doll.” Michael sighed. This was not going to be easy. He needed the help of this girl if he ever wanted to find out what his father was up to. He needed to get her away from everyone to explain the situation and he knew exactly how.
He picked her up and said "Oooooooohhhh she is soooo cute." In a high pitched voice that made everyone laugh. Yente gasped. `How dare he!' She kicked him in his pride and joys and watched in satisfaction as he buckled over in pain.
"Yente!" Her mother yelled. "Don't ever kick someone there again!"
"It's all right. Please stop yelling at this party." Said Michael. "I know exactly how to handle her attitude at the moment."
He picked her up again and carried her off to the pool in the back. “I hope you've brought a change of clothes you actually like, although you look perfect in what your wearing." Yente struggled to get away but although she was strong, he was still a Saiyan and when he reached the pool, she could do nothing but scream as he threw her in the pool. Michael jumped in after her and flew her out. He then set her on her feet.
"Now what was that for!" Yente exclaimed looking down on her ruined dress. This was one of her favourite dresses. "I only kicked you because you picked me up to embarrass me."
"I only did that as a show for the guests. Now if you want out of that dress I have some clothes that you may like. I will lead you to my room and then I need to return to the party. Michael turned around. “Now if you want to follow me." He said as he walked off.
(A/N: this was my idea(friend) not the original authors she asked me to write some so I did and I hope she likes it)
Yente gaped as she watched him walk away. `What on earth is going on here.' She was really confused. `Why did he throw me in the pool?' Michael turned around and looked at her expectantly.
“Well? Are you coming?” Yente angrily stomped over to him.
“No!” She screamed in his face. “I don't want your clothes I've got my own.” With that she turned around and walked away from him.
Michael sighed. `Maybe throwing her in the pool wasn't such a good idea.' He thought as he ran after her.
He finally caught up with her in the hallway of the palace. “Princess wait.” He stopped her by gently grabbing her arm. “I need your help.” Yente glared at him.
“First you humiliate me in public, then you throw me in the pool and now you ask for my help? Are you insane!” She pulled her arm lose and hit him in the face. Michael blinked as he brought his hand to his throbbing cheek. That had actually hurt. He looked into her eyes and nearly took a step back at the fury he saw in there. “Just stay the hell away from me!” she screamed before storming away.
Michael stared after her. He knew there was no sense in going after her now she was to angry. He sighed and decided to go back to his room.
Yente was still furious as she neared her bedroom. “Arrogant asshole!” she muttered. “How dare he! Well screw this marriage! I'll never marry that not in a million years!”
Suddenly she heard voices coming from a guestroom. She saw a door that wasn't fully closed. She knew it was the room of that asshole Saiyan king. Curious about what he was talking about she decided to listen in.
“Is everything arranged, Broco?”
“Yes sire. Everything is going according to plan.” Broco nodded.
“Great.” The king smirked. “Soon we will be rid of my annoying son and these pesky humans.”
